MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 939: Layered Dimension

Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
The battle between Anthony and Lucian escalates into a catastrophic display of forbidden magic, causing the separate plane to fracture under the weight of their clashing intents. After Anthony effortlessly negates a massive pillar of divine energy, he counters with a void-based spell that threatens to consume the entire city and Lucian himself. Lucian narrowly escapes the gravitational abyss by unleashing a tyrannical light that resets the environment, only to immediately launch a relentless barrage of millions of destructive vortexes. Anthony evades the onslaught with ease, hovering high above the battlefield as he prepares to unleash a god-like decree from his seemingly bottomless mana reserves.

Gigantic, hulking planets of cyclopean proportions emerged one after another from the ruptured sky, their immense scale defying all logic. The count of these celestial bodies surged every second as Anthony literally manifested planets directly onto the field of battle. There was no hesitation or pause in his movements, only an endless stream of summoning.

The sheer quantity of them was impossible to measure. He hadn’t just called forth a handful of orbs; he had engorged the entire separate plane, packing it so tightly that almost no vacant space remained. Under the weight of this absurd mass, the plane itself began to groan, reality stretching to its breaking point by the sheer force of Anthony’s will.

With a casual motion, he sent them all hurtling toward Lucian in a state of ravaging delirium, a rain of planetary destruction falling from every angle. These were not mere common planets that could be shattered by physical strength or blown away with a single strike. They were high-ranked celestial bodies, monstrous in mass and size, each acting as a weapon capable of ending entire worlds. Anthony simply smiled as he observed their descent, his face calm and full of confidence as he waited to see how Lucian would react.

Lucian’s brows furrowed as he frowned, his mind quickly cycling through various spells and discarding any that seemed inadequate. As countless planets bore down on him, the pressure intensified, their massive shadows consuming everything below. Suddenly, his thoughts clicked into place.

With a booming roar, his mana ignited within his core as he funneled massive reserves into the technique. Gravity warped at once. Because Anthony had crammed the separate plane with these titanic planets, Lucian realized that changing their course would require a staggering amount of mana.

To redirect them back at their master, he would have to personally bear the burden of their combined mass. However, he remained unconcerned. He expended his mana with wild delight, laughing internally as if he possessed a bottomless reservoir of power comparable to Anthony’s own.

Anthony looked on with an amused glint in his eyes as the sea of planets suddenly reversed their trajectory. One after another, and then all at once, they surged back toward him with even greater velocity, their momentum multiplied by Lucian’s mastery over gravity.

As Anthony spoke, the sound of a massive mechanical clock’s stopping hand seemed to resonate throughout the vast separate plane. In an instant, everything came to a standstill—light, heat, motion, and space itself were frozen in absolute silence. Then, a moment later, time shattered. It broke apart violently into infinite shards as the separate plane distorted, defying its own laws of existence.

The planets surrounding Anthony aged by millions of years in a single heartbeat. Their surfaces fractured, eroded, and rotted at a terrifying speed before they collapsed inward, turning into nothing more than perishable dust. Within moments, those celestial weapons were reduced to debris floating in a frozen void. Then, just as suddenly, the spell ended and everything returned to normal.

Lucian’s voice rose from below as another huge portion of his mana was consumed to fuel the spell. This time, he switched his affinity, weaving cloud magic with perfect accuracy.

Anthony could hear the mana screaming around Lucian, but he did not react or show concern. Then, he felt a sudden shift. The sky in which he drifted began to tremble and shake, with quakes echoing through the entire plane. The blue sky darkened instantly, its color fading as if something terrible was approaching. The clouds began to move with an unnatural rhythm, folding inward around Anthony like the petals of an inverted lotus closing on its prey.

Anthony didn't need a warning. Whatever this technique was, it was lethal—at least to others. To him, it was merely interesting.

In the following instant, the folded sky swallowed him whole. It then swelled outward like a balloon pushed to its limit. An instant later, an all-consuming wave of apocalyptic madness erupted as the sky exploded in a fit of erasing pandemonium. The boundaries of the separate plane shook violently, screaming as if they could no longer hold back the destruction being unleashed.

Before the plane could shatter completely, an invisible energy rippled through the air, reinforcing the fabric of reality and holding the world together by sheer power.

The sky had been brought down. Erased. Obliterated. No word could truly capture the level of devastation Lucian had just triggered. It was pure, unadulterated chaos.

Through the mist of a ruined and shattered reality, Anthony walked forward. His gaze was steady. His expression was perfect. His aura remained relaxed and undisturbed. For him, the attack had been insignificant. As soon as he was fully visible, a new sky materialized above as the separate plane repaired itself, restoring the environment as if nothing had ever happened.

Lucian’s eyes narrowed. He was baffled. Anthony had been at the epicenter of the explosion. Logically, he should have been mangled, if not dead. Even if he survived, there was no reason for him to look so... flawless.

’Sigh... this guy has turned into even more of a monster than when I last read the book,’ he thought to himself.

Anthony, however, ignored Lucian’s inner turmoil. He simply lifted a hand and spoke.

Mana surged violently from his body, tearing into the newly formed sky. The heavens darkened immediately, clouds churning as the separate plane shrieked a warning of coming doom. White lightning crackled from the firmament, snaking through the clouds with violence. Space itself trembled. Time shuddered as the energy levels across the plane spiked far beyond safe parameters.

Then, the strike fell.

Pillars of erasing thunder and lightning crashed down from above in a display of pure madness, descending in a deafening roar. This calamity did not just target Lucian; it hit everything. The ground, the structures, and space itself were not spared. The disaster had arrived, and it knew no difference between friend or foe.

Lucian felt his soul scream at the sight of the approaching ruin. He moved instantly with desperate haste.

He didn't dare face the attack directly, nor did he try to manifest a shield. He knew such an effort would be pointless. Anthony’s strike would simply shred through any defense, erasing all opposition in its way.

With that thought, his mana twisted space around him, peeling him away from this layer of reality and dragging him into another. The moment he disappeared, the separate plane was overwhelmed by horror as Anthony’s technique obliterated everything in its path. Lands were wiped out. Whole zones were deleted. Space itself was torn to shreds without pity.

Klaus, who had been watching from the sidelines, was forced to step in. Once again, he shielded the spectators. He fashioned a pocket dimension similar to Lucian’s, hiding everyone far from the path of destruction. Even so, Anthony’s power shattered all the surrounding layers of reality, its reach eventually brushing against Klaus himself.

"Sigh... the youth of today are much too energetic," Klaus said with a broad smirk, effortlessly blocking Anthony’s attack as if stopping such world-ending power was a simple task.
