Immortality Through Array Formations Chapter 2024 Chapter 971: God Collapse (Alliance Hierarch Q Chai Extra Chapter)

Previously on Immortality Through Array Formations...
Mo Hua seized control of the Divine Authority Tree, isolating the evil embryo and cutting off its supply of power. Within the Divine Temple, Lord Yellow Mountain’s divine thought battled for control over the creature’s physical form, resulting in a stalemate of golden light and blood-red qi. Taking advantage of this paralysis, Mo Hua manifested a forbidden and complex variation of the Tai Xu God-Slaying Sword, shocking onlookers with its fusion of formations and ancient sword intent. The resulting strike unleashed a devastating torrent of sword rays that fractured the evil embryo’s body and sent shockwaves through the temple. Outside, the sheer power of the technique left witnesses in disbelief, questioning if Mo Hua could truly be the one wielding such a legendary, lost art.

The brilliance of the sword faded, and all ripples of energy died away.

A heavy, deathly silence filled the Divine Temple's hall, broken only by Mo Hua's ragged breathing as he stood there, his energy completely spent.

This final execution of the Godslaying Sword had nearly drained his entire reservoir of Divine Thought after so many brutal encounters.

In the center of the chamber, the Evil Embryo had been cleaved in two.

One side was a crimson horror, a mass of twisted tumors and fused Demon Monster appendages that looked like a grotesque fleshy womb crowned with ram horns.

The other side revealed a golden figure.

Draped in Golden Armor and radiating majesty, this half of the body maintained the untainted aura of a true deity despite being severed. This was none other than Lord Yellow Mountain.

What Mo Hua saw matched his calculations perfectly.

The gap in their Cultivation Realms was simply too vast; even with the Godslaying Sword, he might not have been able to truly end the Evil Embryo's existence.

Furthermore, because it was fundamentally a "dead embryo," defining its actual death was a difficult task.

If the creature could not be slain, then all his labor would have been for nothing.

Therefore, Mo Hua had sought an alternative solution.

By combining the lethal sharpness of the Godslaying Sword Forms with the Law of the Heavenly Demon Slash Love Path, he aimed to sever the ties between right and wrong. He wanted to cleave the Divine Body and force a total separation between Lord Yellow Mountain and the Evil Embryo.

By doing so, he could rescue Lord Yellow Mountain.

At the same time, this act would severely diminish the Evil Embryo's power.

Once Lord Yellow Mountain was liberated from the creature's influence, he would naturally act as an ally to his "friend."

This strategy would effectively turn the Evil Embryo's own strength against it.

By ensuring he held the upper hand, the Evil Embryo would be left at his mercy.

Mo Hua had finally reached his objective.

Lord Yellow Mountain had been saved by his hand.

Lord Yellow Mountain’s eyes sharpened slightly, filled with a sense of disbelief.

"They were actually... divided..."

The wound on his Divine Body still held the lingering power of the Forget Emotion Slash, which acted as a barrier to all auras and severed his link to the Evil Embryo.

Was this possible because of... the Heavenly Demon Path?

Is this youth a human, a deity, or a demon?

How could he possibly cultivate the Heavenly Demon Path? And where could he have learned such a thing...

Lord Yellow Mountain was consumed by shock and bewilderment.

Mo Hua let out a heavy sigh of relief, slowly straightening his back as a smile touched his lips. "Mountain Lord..."

His words trailed off as his smile vanished, replaced by an increasingly somber expression.

The Evil Embryo and Lord Yellow Mountain were now distinct entities.

The line between purity and corruption was clearly drawn.

However, it was obvious that Lord Yellow Mountain's pure divine aura was beginning to leak blood. The fluid darkened into pus, and rotting flesh began to manifest as he slowly succumbed to corruption.

Mo Hua remained quiet.

Lord Yellow Mountain watched the decay without surprise. He raised his head toward Mo Hua and gave a soft, weary sigh:

"I told you that I cannot be saved."

"I am the Evil Embryo, and the Evil Embryo is me..."

"Even though we are separate and I have regained my status as a deity, I will still inevitably rot into an Evil God..."

Mo Hua’s eyes lost some of their light.

The noble Lord Yellow Mountain looked at Mo Hua with a gentle gaze, one filled with a mixture of regret and gratitude:

"Even so, you have truly helped me... you gave me the opportunity to settle this grudge, to protect the honor of a deity, and to escape the shame of being the Great Wilderness Evil God. You have freed me from this never-ending nightmare..."

Startled, Mo Hua looked up slowly. "Mountain Lord, you..."

As the Evil Qi continued to flow, Lord Yellow Mountain’s presence shifted. A blinding golden light erupted as he took on his true form—a massive golden deity of the mountains.

His very Origin was burning, and the power of his Divine Skills surged to their absolute peak, nearing the point of total self-destruction.

Realizing Lord Yellow Mountain’s intent, Mo Hua’s heart raced as he cried out: "Mountain Lord!"

Lord Yellow Mountain turned his head, his narrowed eyes locking onto Mo Hua. They held the resolve of one facing certain death, yet were clouded by a deep, lingering hesitation.

He seemed to be fighting an internal battle, struggling with a choice of great importance.

This matter appeared to weigh more heavily on him than his own life.

Finally, he gave Mo Hua a long, meaningful look. His eyes were a complex swirl of reluctant trust and final hope.

"What is your name?"

Mo Hua blinked in surprise before answering: "Mo Hua."

Lord Yellow Mountain gave a solemn nod. "If we are truly friends, I have one task to entrust to you..."

"Take my..." Lord Yellow Mountain's voice faltered for a second, "...away from Solitary Mountain."

Mo Hua stood frozen for a moment, unable to grasp the meaning behind the request.

"Mountain Lord, take what..."

Lord Yellow Mountain offered no further explanation. Instead, he swung a massive claw, channeling a vast amount of Divine Thought. With a single strike, he sent Mo Hua tumbling backward.

In his true form, Lord Yellow Mountain’s power was overwhelming.

Mo Hua had no way to withstand such force. He was carried away by the Divine Power, eventually landing softly outside the doors of the great hall.

Once Mo Hua was safely outside, Lord Yellow Mountain let out a thunderous roar toward the heavens. His peak Third Grade divine power began to seethe, eventually taking the shape of massive, towering peaks.

These mountains, forged entirely from divine power, shimmered with golden light and felt as solid as stone, completely sealing the hall.

Divine Skill: Mountain Burial.

The Divine Power began to collapse inward, and the Divine Mountain started to shatter.

In an instant, it felt as though the world itself was falling apart, the air filled with the echoes of crashing stone.

This violent force carried a hint of the Law of "collapse," striking a chord of primal fear in Mo Hua.

It was exactly like a Formation Collapse.

However, this was not a collapse of Spiritual Power or a Formation, but of Divine Thought.

Lord Yellow Mountain had invoked a Divine Skill to collapse his own Third Grade Divine Thought from its very source, creating a destructive force so terrifying it chilled Mo Hua to the bone.

Should this energy explode outward, the entire nightmare would be reduced to dust, and no one would survive.

Yet, much like a Formation Collapse, the greater the power, the more it could be contained.

Lord Yellow Mountain had purposefully restricted the collapsing force of his Divine Thought within the confines of the hall to ensure Mo Hua remained unharmed.
