Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 485 - VS Solstice [2]

Noah observed the assault cascading toward him, revealing the image of a massive golden lion, its aura of arrogance leaking out like liquid from a punctured vessel.
The beast parted its jaws broadly, displaying razor-sharp golden fangs that plunged into the fabric of existence—it let out a groan of agony, then fragmented and bellowed from the depths of its maw.
A surge of divine force burst forth and crashed into Noah in an instant, scorching all in its wake to ashes.
Simultaneously, Solstice materialized behind Noah, his form unscathed by the energy he wielded, clutching a enormous golden bow in his grip.
As he drew back the see-through string, the vision of a centaur
emerged at his back, copying his movement flawlessly. Then, an arrow materialized spontaneously on the bow, formed from compressed soul energy in a deep red-black hue.
Reality warped, and a foul odor permeated the field of battle.
In that moment, the shroud of energy cloaking Noah dispersed, unveiling the Prince in his full splendor without a single mark on his skin.
He whipped his head aside, eyeing the maw of the Lion, Sin of Pride, mere inches from tearing into his throat.
Noah dropped low, the Lion's jaws clamping on empty space with a sharp snap, then he pivoted laterally, clenching his fist and slamming it straight into the beast's belly.
Prior to the blow, he activated his atom manipulation, altering the makeup of his bones, muscles, and flesh to rival the force of countless exploding stellar clusters.
Upon connection, half the Lion vanished into
oblivion, the remainder scattering through the air in sprays of shattered tissue. Its core fractured.
The Lion howled, yet Noah had no moment to savor the cry. The nape of his neck prickled, his hairs rising like quills on a hedgehog.
He spun his head around only to witness Solstice releasing the arrow, emitting a piercing yell as the fabric of space ripped under the shaft's might.
"Freeze." Noah commanded steadily, and time stopped precisely as the arrow's point met his brow.
His blood dripped down, the venom infiltrating his veins, and Noah chuckled.
The temporal stasis would endure for barely a second, but that proved ample for his needs.
Drawing on the sensation of injury from the prior force, Noah reshaped his right hand to counter the arrow's potency.
His form countered the toxin during the transformation.
Next, he seized the arrow, whirling on his axis repeatedly until time flowed onward once more.
He hurled it back toward Solstice, amplifying the projectile's strength several times over. All the while, Solstice's gaze brimmed with terror, comprehending he had been immobilized for a full second.
Before his thoughts could recover, the arrow streaked by his skull. It detonated at once, drawing cries of agony and fury from the surviving Lion's gullet and from Solstice alike.
The blast generated a blast of energy that struck Noah, which he harnessed to launch himself rearward, gaining separation.
He rolled his neck, his brow already mended, observing the plume of white and purple ascending to the heavens.
"Hm," Noah muttered. "Still on your feet?" He angled his head.
The force he deployed ought to have incapacitated Solstice for an extended period at minimum.
Yet, as the haze of fading soul essence dissipated, Solstice remained upright, his scalp regenerated while a colossal crimson fish covered in eyes orbited him.
"Reversal," the Soul Ruler uttered, and the waning energy of the Lion, damaged by Noah's destruction of half its core, surged back to greater intensity.
Consequently, the Lion mended swiftly, snarling and growling at Noah with malice and resentment.
Witnessing this, Noah understood the reason the Soul Ruler persisted.
"Reversal, eh." Noah pondered, grinning. "That's a fascinating ability."
He assumed his position, this round invoking the Singularity's might while encasing himself in time compression.
It wasn't over. He infused it with the inherent talent of Laka, the Bloodline Sage. The sacred creature possessed Bloodline Fog—a mist designed to dominate the bloodline of any ensnared within.
But Noah had no intent to quash Solstice's bloodline. Evidently, the Soul Ruler's abilities bore no connection to
bloodline.
Rather, he delved into his soul's depths for the emblem linked to the
Fog skill.
Then, with remarkable poise amid the clash, as Solstice charged at him, a black-white scale hovering overhead bearing the visage of a shrouded woman, his lips parting to invoke a technique—Noah altered the essence of that technique.
Through his profound atom manipulation, beyond mortal comprehension, and employing Probability and Singularity to bend destiny toward spawning a twisted technique, Noah succeeded in forging something akin just as
Solstice's voice echoed.
"Reversal."
Immediately, the energies encircling Noah diminished from potent to feeble, from abundant to sparse.
But it came too late. Noah had completed his creation.
And shortly, Solstice perceived it, as a crimson-gold mist burst from Noah's mouth and eyes, swathing him in a dense shroud. He roared, flailing within the mist. All efforts proved futile.
If bloodline exerted no influence in the Spirit World, the same couldn't be said for the soul.
One could overlook that nuance of the Spirit World, yet all elements—from beings, to structures, to time and space—consisted of soul essence.
The shadows of Shadow, the Twelve Zodiac Signs of Solstice including his Reversal ability, even the Love of Love and the Light of Light, fell under this principle.
Thus, what occurred when one gained the capacity to diminish—repress—the fundamental idea of soul essence within a single entity? The response manifested live before Noah. He regarded with calm eyes Solstice dropping to one knee
before him.
Sweat poured from him in torrents.
His abilities shattered, compelling the Lion and Libra to dissolve into
liquid light, trailing a wail of concern for their lord.
They appeared to possess their own emotions, Noah observed, deeming it all the more intriguing.
But then he dismissed his head, banishing those thoughts, refocusing on the Soul Ruler.
His condition was nearly pitiable. His many eyes bulged wide,
plagued by bewilderment and dread. Evidently, the Soul Ruler had never endured such a trial.
Particularly since Noah's repression was total when his soul outmatched his foe's. And few souls rivaled the might of the Son of Reality's.
"Well," Noah exhaled, offering a slight smile, "you held out, truthfully, longer than I expected."
"How... how do you possess this power?" Solstice inquired, his tone hoarse
and labored. "Only Principality and Origin Will should wield this power."
His eyes bored into Noah.
"How?"
"Oh?" Noah voiced, tilting his head. "Is that the reason you can't oppose a Principality?"
And still, the Merchant—or perhaps his confederates—had slain such an entity.
Noah shook his head again, lowering his gaze to a basin of shadows pooling at his soles.
Ester's voice resounded moments later.
"I located the Lake and the fractured half Tower," she reported. "Are they what
you required, husband?"
Noah grinned, eyeing Solstice's pallid, exhausted visage.
"Aye, darling. As ever, well done," he replied.
"But I spotted something more, husband," Ester went on. "In the Lake's depths, near the flowers, I glimpsed a concealed portal. A domain, likely."
"How?" Solstice's fractured voice hissed. "HOW DID YOU-!"
"Silence!" Noah commanded, intensifying his soul repression on the Soul Ruler, forcing his face to the earth.
Nevertheless, Solstice continued to writhe, desperate to vocalize and perhaps revile.
Ester ignored him, concluding her account.
"Beyond the domain, husband, lies a lotus and a girl—a young girl
no older than six—sprouting from the lotus." She hesitated. Solstice roared in rage and terror.
"And the girl draws sustenance from the lotus, while the lotus draws from
the lake and the countless souls imprisoned in that domain."
