Global Era of Star trekking Chapter 1763 - 860: [Chaos Wonders—Dimension Anchor]

Previously on Global Era of Star trekking...
The battle between the Yan Ancestor and the Abyss Transcenders ended in a bloody stalemate, only for a mysterious gray sword light to intervene and assassinate the severely weakened Yan Ancestor. This unprecedented fall of a Twelfth Rank being has shattered the balance of power in the Chaos Divine Land, leaving the Heavenly Ape Star Realm vulnerable to impending chaos. Fearing for the safety of Human Emperor City, the leaders of the Torch group have resolved to urgently fortify their defenses. To ensure their survival, they have decided that Ying Yi and Ferdinand must attempt to ascend their ships to the Mythical Immortal rank, though the limited energy of the Origin Star may not be enough to support both.

With the Torch Civilization now possessing the foundation of three River System Communities, nurturing the simultaneous birth of two Star Continents is no longer an impossible feat.

However, such an endeavor necessitates a massive mobilization of both material and human assets, with high rank Torch Captains being an absolute necessity.

Consequently, at least one-third of the ten thousand plus Annihilation Starship Captains currently scouring the Origin Star would need to be summoned back immediately.

For the Torch Civilization, which utilizes Warship Avatars to safely explore the Origin Star, this withdrawal would undoubtedly cause a sharp decline in the efficiency of collecting various treasures.

Yet, at this critical juncture where the Torch Civilization must bolster its foundation, missing this once-in-a-million-year opportunity provided by the Origin Star’s fall would be a grave mistake. Seizing further chances will become incredibly difficult once the Heavenly Ape Star Realm descends into absolute chaos in the future.

"Let us focus all our efforts on nurturing the Holy Hall Continent!"

Breaking the silence within the group chat was Ferdinand, the Lord of the Holy Hall Federation.

Given the gravity of the situation, even Mythical Immortal Captains like Jiang Yuan and Ji Heng were not in a position to make final decisions on behalf of Ying Yi and the others.

Striving for a myth is, at its core, a vital matter regarding one’s own transcendent path. The ultimate choice must rest with the individuals involved, lest a future failure in promotion breeds deep-seated resentment.

After Ferdinand finished speaking, he bypassed Jiang Yuan and Ji Heng, turning his gaze directly toward Ying Yi.

"Considering the current preparations of the Heavenly Holy Light Ship and all the Torch Fortune in my possession, the success rate for promotion should remain above 40%. When we factor in the two ’Time Reversal’ features, the theoretical success rate will climb to at least 80%, which should guarantee success."

Despite these assurances, nothing is ever truly guaranteed. Should the promotion fail, the Immortal Qin Ancestor Dragon would be the one to suffer the bitter consequences. Therefore, while Ying Yi’s face remained stoic, his silence betrayed his deep hesitation.

Anticipating this concern, Ferdinand added:

"Rest assured, I have already secured enough Time Source Crystals to immediately reset the cooldown for the two Time Chessboard components after they are used."

Hearing this, Ying Yi felt a sense of relief.

Although they would inevitably miss the optimal time node due to the Floating Land Origin tide—causing a slight dip in the Immortal Qin Ancestor Dragon's promotion success rate—it would remain within an acceptable margin.

Furthermore, the two Time Chessboards with reset cooldowns could then be used for the Heavenly Holy Light Ship, couldn't they?

Song Chi, watching the exchange, instinctively thought of the drop of Time Source Liquid he possessed when Ferdinand mentioned the crystals.

This single drop of Time Source Liquid was equivalent to 1000 kg of Time Source Crystal and could reduce the cooldown of various strange objects by a total of one million years. Naturally, he considered using it on the "Time·Retrospect" feature of the Time Chessboard to provide the Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong Ship with more attempts during its own future Mythical Immortal Ship promotion.

However, after a moment of careful thought, he dismissed the idea for now.

The reasoning was straightforward: the "Time·Retrospect" feature can only rewind 11 seconds. Even if the warship promotion process is swift, time is still consumed during the transition, meaning some efficiency is lost. Those 11 seconds are only enough for three or four rewinds at most.

While three or four attempts certainly offer a better success rate than two, achieving unlimited continuous rewinds is clearly impossible.

Once the final agreement was reached, the five individuals dispersed quickly. The Shenxia Jiuli Ship personally returned to Human Emperor City to transport Ying Yi and Ferdinand back to the Torch Domain. There, they would mobilize the majority of the stationed high rank combat power to focus entirely on the Holy Hall Continent.

Meanwhile, Song Chi and the other two remained on the Chaos Divine Land to continue their exploration. In the two thousand years remaining, they intended to thoroughly scavenge all resources and treasures within the Origin Star.

...

By the eighth millennium of the Origin Star’s fall, the three-man exploration team from the Torch Civilization discovered a crashed resource vessel from an ancient relic battlefield. From it, they recovered numerous Dominant True Spirits, Mythical Souls, Moon Crystals, Chaos Mirror Image Stones, and Starry Sea Oddities, among other rare resources.

In the eight thousand five hundredth year, the team successfully hunted a native mythical creature. They transplanted a legendary Spirit Root, the Star Ascension Tree, from its den. This Spirit Root draws upon the Power of Star Essence to produce Star Ascension Fruit; the highest grade of these fruits can even assist flesh and blood beings in breaking through to the myth rank.

In the year nine thousand and sixty-two, less than a thousand years remained before the Origin Star would rise again.

The Chaos Mist that once blanketed the entire planet had thinned into a mere veil, replaced by countless beams of rule-light piercing through the sky and earth.

Each beam of light signaled the location of a supreme treasure. The most prominent of these was an icy blue pillar that shot up from the Antarctic Ice Field, so bright it could be seen by observers far beyond the Origin Star.

"The seven hundred thirty-eighth scan is complete."

Song Chi massaged his aching temples. The Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong Image Warship was currently hovering amidst the fierce blizzards of the Origin Star’s Antarctic circle, its hull coated in thick layers of Chaos Ice Crystals.

"Energy signatures have risen by another 12%. If this rate continues, it will hit the critical threshold in a few decades at most."

On the holographic display, the faces of Jiang Yuan and Ji Heng were bathed in the flickering light of streaming data.

The three-man team had been stationed at this location for centuries. During that time, they had fended off forty-three groups of intruders, including two Tenth Rank Demon Gods belonging to the Abyss Demon Race.
