Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2722: 1495: Exploration and Sudden Change
“What happened?”
At the mysterious and crumbling entrance to the ancient ruins, Leo Ray immediately grew alert upon catching Moli’s abrupt anxious remark.
“I faintly detected a massive surge of spatial energy, as if it’s silently building up!”
While her tone remained laced with worry, Moli urged Leo Ray and the rest to pull back, adding, “This place feels off—terribly off!”
“What? A massive surge of spatial energy?”
That revelation made every fighter on our team clutch their weapons harder, scanning their surroundings warily, half-expecting some beast to burst from the darkness or a crumbling barrier any moment.
Keep in mind, we’d only just escaped the horrors of that witch demon’s deadly domain, where that fiend excelled at mind tricks and spatial control, leaving us all soaked in cold sweat.
Though many of the fighters here had pushed deep into the Bone Hall, witnessing that creature cornered in its last desperate fight thanks to Leo Ray’s actions, its enormous form and nightmarish look still haunted their thoughts like a lingering terror.
So, the mention of spatial energy ripples brought that intense clash flooding back into everyone’s minds.
“Is there a demon lurking around here too?”
Broy had called forth his four damaged Tier 6 Alchemical Golems, his expression tight with concern.
After the string of brutal fights lately, those Alchemy Puppets obviously hadn’t been fixed up completely yet.
“No, this is way scarier than anything you’re picturing!”
Moli’s words shook as she continued, “Next to this force, that demon’s nothing more than a bug!”
Once she finished, Moli’s complexion drained of color, realizing that against such overwhelming spatial might, her own spatial spells were useless and couldn’t be cast at all.
“What?!”
Her statement stunned our group even more, and following Leo Ray’s orders, they all hastily withdrew toward the path they’d taken to arrive.
In the midst of the team, Leo Ray alone held a steadier face, without showing too much alarm.
Even a demon at demigod strength seemed like a mere speck beside this— it had to involve a Deity.
“Is the guiding voice messing with us once more? Another Lord Arena about to start?”
Leo Ray pondered, creasing his forehead a touch.
Right at that instant, the party came to a halt, stopped by an unseen barrier that had sealed their retreat entirely, halting their progress.
“A space barrier? I’ve never encountered one so refined and unbreakable— it’s perfect, impossible to breach!”
Moli, in the midst of her astonishment, let a trace of fear slip into her tone as she declared, “Looks like we’re fully enclosed in this spot.”
“Is it ‘Corrosion’?”
Old Nick nearly collapsed, but he propped himself up with his Magic Wand, struggling to regain composure.
At the same time, the other fighters in our ranks showed similar reactions, staying vigilant in their assigned spots without letting their guard down.
Despite that, a heavy wave of dread began to creep through the entire assembly.
“Human youth… Your Majesty, what’s our next move?”
Moli drew in a steadying breath, attempting to settle her nerves, then turned her gaze back to Leo Ray.
“With the exit blocked, pushing forward is our only option.”
Leo Ray directed his eyes toward the ruins’ inner shadows once more, giving a nod to the others, “No traces of ‘Corrosion’ around, and no demon aura either, so those can be dismissed for now.”
His assurance lightened the team’s confusion and tension a little, prompting nods of support all around.
“Lord, does this remind you of the vanished fleet event?”
A deep, courteous rumble echoed as Bruno, the Minotaur General tamed by Leo Ray, saluted with a fist to his chest, clearly recalling the Lord Arena.
“Yes, if I’ve got it right, a Deity must be pulling the strings behind this.”
Leo Ray gave a small nod, confirming what Bruno suggested.
“A Deity?!”
The words hit Kara, Calvin, and Old Nick like a thunderbolt, their gazes stretching wide in disbelief.
They never imagined their ruler had tangled with a Deity! But since the Blankness Era, Deities had vanished ages ago— why show up now?
Did this Deity stick around in secret, or is some hidden truth at play? Either way, their leader truly stands out!
Catching the shift in their looks, Leo Ray offered a helpless grin.
On the prompting voice linking to a Deity, he’d shared that only with Lord Arena participants, Human Clan kings, and close aides, so Kara and the rest were naturally in the dark.
Naturally, one more in the group shared that shock— it was Moli herself.
“Human Majesty, how can you tell a Deity’s behind this? Have you crossed paths with one beyond the Divine Revelation?”
Moli’s eyes bulged as she brushed aside the space barrier for the moment, pressing for answers urgently.
Truth be told, even her Forest Elves had no tales of Deity encounters, and with the Stone of God hitting specific counts, Divine Revelation itself had gone silent for hundreds of years.
