The unknown stone spirit glanced up at Leo Ray's chest, her tension easing visibly, and she bobbed her head firmly. “I understand the urgency; come with me!”
With those words, the unknown stone spirit spun around and dashed toward a different hallway in the chamber, Leo Ray and Little Jie trailing right behind as they sprang into motion.
Led by the unfamiliar stone spirit, they navigated the maze-like Underground City with twists and turns until reaching a room packed with various magical control stations.
This spot resembled a central command hub, yet every magical control station lay shattered in fragments, cluttered and blanketed in heavy dust.
“Lord, traces of the Witch Demon's death energy linger faintly here too; it appears they've seized control over the whole Underground City.”
Little Jie creased her refined eyebrows and informed Leo Ray, “On top of that, they've wrecked all of this, likely setting up their own command area somewhere else.”
“Those despicable foes truly demolished nearly all the arrays in this place.”
The unfamiliar stone spirit examined briefly, then affirmed to Leo Ray and Little Jie, “That said, even though we ended up in their grasp, it doesn't imply they've mastered every aspect!”
As the unfamiliar stone spirit's statement dropped, soft waves of power rippled out, and a golden magical array gradually surfaced, illuminating the once gloomy room with radiant light.
“Is this some sort of array trigger?”

“The magical trigger and the full array of this last defense are concealed inside those materials; only I, the one who cast it, understand how to trigger it.”
With that, the unfamiliar stone spirit drew in a deep breath and nodded resolutely to Leo Ray. “Human Clan's Majesty, I'm about to officially engage the array now—it's the ultimate counter to the Witch Demon and your sole path to freedom!”
“Got it; please proceed without delay.”
Though questions swirled in his mind, Leo Ray nodded promptly upon hearing this.
