Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2623: 1444: United Forces and Advance (Part 2)

Leo Ray shocked the Catman Clan by executing a notorious Moon Demon Wolf warrior in a single strike, revealing his hidden Tier 6 strength and advanced preparation. This display of power convinced Leader Lannis and the Catman warriors to abandon their doubts and join forces with the Human Emperor. After capturing the remaining wolf emissaries, Leo Ray disclosed the truth behind the Witch Demon’s conspiracy and the betrayal by Lucas and Belinda. United by this revelation, the Catman Clan pledged their full support to Leo Ray’s urgent mission to infiltrate the Medusa’s Sacred Land and rescue the Desert Leader.

“I am grateful for your dedication.”

Leo Ray inhaled deeply as he surveyed the determined expressions of the catman soldiers gathered before him. With the arrival of these fresh reinforcements, his certainty in successfully liberating Sina grew exponentially.

Feeling a surge of confidence, Leo Ray observed Lannis organizing the lines and couldn't help but ask, “Lord Clan Leader, do you truly place that much faith in me?”

“The fact that you secured the allegiance of so many Outer Region powers proves that Your Majesty is no common Human ruler.”

Lannis maintained a tone of deep respect as he answered, “Furthermore, Your Majesty is the person Emily chose to trust with everything. Despite her playful nature, that girl is remarkably shrewd and possesses a sharp eye for character. If she trusts you, the Catman Clan trusts you by extension.”

As Lannis finished, a female Elder approached with a localized frown. “Clan Leader, by scouring the memories of those demon wolf captives over the past months, we discovered glimpses of Lucas meeting with the witch demon. However, those soldiers were low-ranking guards on the perimeter; they weren't privy to the specific pact Lucas made with the enemy.”

“That is of no consequence; this evidence is plenty. His Majesty is correct; our priority is the immediate rescue of the leader.”

Lannis gestured broadly, commanding, “Assemble every available unit in the vicinity to support His Majesty’s push toward the Holy Land of Medusa!”

A powerful host soon gathered under the midnight sky outside the grand Catman capital. Lannis informed Leo Ray that the force consisted of twenty Tier 3 Legions and two Tier 4 Legions.

Because the catman desert territory is vast and dotted with isolated settlements, many troops were scattered or stationed at the borders to deter rival second-tier powers. These were the only soldiers that could be mobilized on such short notice.

During the mobilization, Leo Ray summoned Ice Stone City. Its massive silhouette shimmered in the darkness, leaving Lannis and his people breathless with wonder.

To most warriors, a Divine Favor Land of such magnitude was a relic only the Shadow Market was capable of operating.

Leo Ray offered a faint, weary smile as he signaled Lannis to march his troops inside. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't expose Ice Stone City so openly, especially since its garrison was currently thin—consisting only of ten elite Human Tier 3 Legions and some exhausted Tier 2 units. However, the urgency of the mission left him no alternative.

Only the instantaneous teleportation of Ice Stone City would allow them to reach the Medusa Holy Land with enough speed to catch the enemy off guard.

Once the army was safely within the walls, the entire city vanished from the capital’s outskirts.

Under the flickering stars, Ice Stone City reappeared in the heart of the vast desert.

From the battlements, Leo Ray looked out upon an endless sea of dunes where the wind shrieked through the night. A solitary oasis stood directly ahead of the city, looking strangely out of place in the barren waste.

The oasis appeared entirely natural and serene, devoid of any structures or signs of movement.

“Your Majesty, that is the location of the Medusa Holy Land.”

Lannis pointed toward the greenery, explaining to Leo Ray, “Most Medusa settlements are carved deep into the desert floor like complex ant colonies. Our true objective lies beneath the sands.”

“I see. According to Emily’s intel, the entrance to the inner sanctum of the Holy Land is right there.”

Leo Ray studied the area for a moment before pointing to a specific rock formation near a pool at the center of the oasis. “Let us move out.”

“Wait, Your Majesty. We desert-dwellers have a proverb: the more tranquil a desert glade seems, the more lethal the trap it hides.”

Lannis’s ears twitched as he scanned the horizon with his instincts. He turned to Leo Ray with a grim expression. “Your Majesty, please teleport the city forward another hundred meters.”

“Very well.”

Leo Ray nodded to Elder Bing, who stood ready at his side.

In a flash, Ice Stone City shifted position. Leo Ray was stunned to see the natural oasis vanish, replaced by a massive, heavily fortified stronghold.

“So, the entire landscape was masked by an illusion.”

Leo Ray stared at the serpent banners flying from the high walls; it was the unmistakable sigil of the Medusa. The central lake was now trapped within the fortress walls, hidden from view.

The fortress itself was clearly fashioned from magically hardened sand, vibrating with the residual mana of the City Building Skill, suggesting it was a temporary structure.

“It’s no wonder Emily didn't mention this fort; the enemy was exceptionally well-prepared.”

Leo Ray’s brow furrowed as he watched the Medusa sentries patrolling the ramparts. A violent breakthrough was now unavoidable if they wanted to reach the underground passage.

“Your Majesty, since this is a temporary magical construct, it likely lacks a permanent Absolute Defense Barrier. If we focus our strike, we can shatter their defenses easily.”

Lannis analyzed the scene before continuing, “Judging by the garrison size, there are likely no more than five Legions present, and probably no Tier 4 units. The Medusa Tier 4 Legions answer only to Sina, and Belinda hasn't secured enough power to command them yet.”

“That may be true, Clan Leader, but we moved too fast to bring heavy siege engines like Magic Cannons.”

The white-haired Grand Elder of the catmen spoke up, his face etched with worry. “The Medusa are masters of magic. While we catmen have the advantage in numbers and physical strength, we cannot match them in a purely mystical exchange.”

Leo Ray had been introduced to this elder earlier—the highest-ranking spiritual leader of the Catman Clan.

“Do not be concerned, Grand Elder. My main army is elsewhere, but I have brought plenty of Magic Cannons, and my elite guard are all skilled mages.”

Leo Ray gave a confident smile as he looked back at his disciplined Human soldiers.

The ten Tier 3 Legions remaining were his most proficient Magic Legions, the very ones he intended to promote to Tier 4 status.

Even with a steady supply of high-grade Magic Medicine, raising soldiers from Tier 3 One-Star to Tier 4 was a grueling process that couldn't be rushed. For now, they remained at the peak of Tier 3.

“In that case, we shall rely on Your Majesty’s artillery and mages to lead the assault.”

Lannis nodded solemnly and began coordinating the formation with Leo Ray.

The Catman Grand Elder had initially intended to warn Leo Ray that standard Human Magic Cannons would be useless against such a fort, assuming any high-tier weapons would be tied up at the front lines.

However, when the Human soldiers rapidly deployed thousands of Tier 3 and higher Magic Cannons, the Grand Elder gasped in shock. Such a massive battery of high-level artillery was something only the main alliance army should possess.

The catman officers were equally stunned by the Humans' discipline. These Magic Legions were more synchronized and proficient than their own! This was not the "weak" Human race they had heard of, but a force that demanded absolute respect.

“Very well, let's end this quickly.”

With the lines set and the cannons aimed, Leo Ray wasted no time and gave the order to fire.
