“He actually pulled it off. I never imagined his physical power would be so immense!”
Qunnie Young’s bright eyes shimmered with disbelief, as if she couldn't trust her own vision.
On the opposite side, a flash of shock crossed the sinister features of the brown-robed Lord.
It was important to realize that this was his primary technique. He had successfully ensnared a genuine Tier 6 Expert with it in the past by catching them off guard. He hadn't anticipated that Leo Ray would shatter the restraint so effortlessly.
Earlier, after witnessing Leo Ray eliminate two Water Element Demon Puppets in rapid succession, he had suspected the man might be troublesome. However, this level of strength was far beyond merely being "troublesome."
“You dare to flaunt such a mediocre skill before me?”
Remaining perfectly composed, Leo Ray swung Rolanddel in a sharp arc, charging directly toward his foe.
In a heartbeat, Leo Ray had closed the distance, reaching the immediate vicinity of both the brown-robed Lord and the black-armored Lord.
Yet, when Leo Ray’s blade pierced the brown-robed Lord, the figure proved to be ethereal. Like a mere reflection upon water, the enemy remained completely unharmed.
“A universal illusion? No, there is no trace of such energy fluctuations nearby.”
As a master of the Mirage Illusion Skill, Leo Ray instantly dismissed that theory and realized the truth.
If it wasn't a standard illusion, there was only one alternative: his opponent was lurking within a spatial rift, a technique comparable to the vaporization used by the Blood Clan.
“It’s no wonder they had the gall to appear so openly. This is their trump card.”
Leo Ray ceased his advance, once again leveling his long sword at the enemy.
The mastermind behind this spatial manipulation was likely the black-armored Lord, who had been wearing a malicious grin this entire time.
“You’ve finally figured it out, have you?”
The freckle-faced Lord in the brown robe mocked him with a sneer, “Too bad for you, your realization comes too late!”
The moment the brown-robed Lord finished speaking, a violent eruption of mana surged beneath Leo Ray. Spear-like vines covered in wicked thorns tore through the earth, lunging at Leo Ray from every angle!
“Damn it! It’s a pre-placed magic trap!”
Noticing the sudden chaos surrounding Leo Ray, Qunnie Young’s expression twisted with anxiety once more.
She knew that no matter how powerful Chen Bro was, he was still just one man. How could he possibly handle two Overlord Level Lords on his own?
Hidden within the shadows, the brown-robed and black-armored Lords watched the scene, their lips curling into sinister chuckles.
A mere Tier 5 Peak Lord had the audacity to challenge two Half-step Tier 6 Experts at once and even rush them. He was truly overestimating his own capabilities!
However, their mockery died in their throats. To their horror, as the chaotic energy of the magic traps faded, Leo Ray stood there entirely untouched, without a single scratch on him!
“How... how can this be?”
The brown-robed Lord gasped, his face pale with shock. He couldn't wrap his mind around what he was seeing.
This trap had been constructed using Magic Moss, a substance capable of lethally wounding even a Tier 6 Expert who wasn't careful. How could a Tier 5 combatant emerge from such a blast completely unscathed?
“As expected of Chen Bro!”
Seeing this, Qunnie Young’s spirits soared, and she couldn't help but let out a cheer.
At the heart of the commotion, Leo Ray remained as relaxed as if he were taking a casual stroll.
The instant he had sensed the threat, Leo Ray had triggered a Tier 6 Absolute Defense Barrier Scroll. While his Aurendil’s Protection was capable of tanking Tier 6 strikes, he felt it was unwise to expose his ultimate survival gear so early, and there was no reason to summon Little Jie just yet.
Thanks to his recent mass upgrades, Leo Ray had an abundance of Tier 6 Defense Scrolls. He used them with practiced ease and zero hesitation.
“Was that a Tier 6 Defense Scroll?”
The brown-robed Lord spotted the burnt remains of the scroll in Leo Ray’s hand and froze for a second.
Tier 6 Magic Scrolls were incredibly rare, especially those focused on life-saving defense.
“Where did this brat get his hands on something like that?”
Despite his confusion, a glint of greed appeared in the brown-robed Lord’s eyes as he licked his dry lips.
If the boy possessed such a priceless artifact, he surely carried other treasures. They had stumbled upon a true "fat sheep."
The two Lords locked eyes, sharing a silent moment of mutual avarice.
Suddenly, their auras flared as they partially emerged from the spatial rift. One unleashed a barrage of hundreds of vines from a wooden staff, while the other unsheathed a jagged dagger, both lunging at Leo Ray simultaneously.
Given the short distance, the black-armored Lord moved like a blur. Radiating a murderous intent, he transformed into a shadow and was upon Leo Ray in an instant.
“Is this one also a Half-step Tier 6?”
Leo Ray met the assault head-on, swinging his long sword in a horizontal arc as he stepped forward.
BOOM!
A massive explosion of energy followed the collision, sending a freezing shockwave through the air that churned the surrounding environment.
After the initial clash, the black-armored Lord’s smug expression faltered.
His hand felt numb from the impact. Despite being a Half-step Tier 6 expert specialized in speed, he hadn't gained the upper hand. In fact, he felt slightly overpowered by Leo Ray's raw strength.
After pushing the black-armored Lord back, Leo Ray sliced through the incoming Magic Vines with a clean stroke, standing his ground against the duo once more.
Even with both enemies fighting at full capacity, they posed little threat to Leo Ray. Between his Power of Divine Grace, dozens of high-level buffs, a full set of Tier 6 gear, and his Thunder Light Phantom Body, he was a fortress.
“I refuse to believe this brat can win!”
The black-armored Lord roared, lunging again. The brown-robed Lord focused on providing constant interference, turning the battlefield into a high-stakes zone of danger.
Yet, for all their aggressive maneuvers, they couldn't land a single hit on Leo Ray.
Because the exchange happened with lightning speed, the intensity of the fight left Qunnie Young wide-eyed.
The combined might of two Half-step Tier 6 Experts was roughly equal to a true Tier 6 One-star Expert—especially when one was a speed-based physical attacker and the other a magic-user specialized in disruption.
Even Ethan Young might have struggled under such pressure, yet this male Lord she had just met stood firm like a mountain amidst a raging storm.
“Is it even possible for a Tier 5 Peak Expert to be this powerful? This is practically a tenfold gap in combat potential.”
As Qunnie Young stood paralyzed by shock, the situation shifted unexpectedly.
The black-armored Lord retreated after a failed strike, regrouping with the brown-robed Lord.
But the real danger appeared behind Leo Ray. Three unknown Tier 6 Experts, radiating powerful auras, materialized silently with their weapons raised.
“Haha! Kid, did you honestly think we’d fight you fairly?”
The brown-robed Lord laughed maniacally, his face contorted. “I’ll let you in on a secret: everything so far was just bait to lead you into this trap!”
As he spoke, the three new Tier 6 Experts slashed at the air, distorting space as they closed in, their faces twisted into murderous grins.
“Chen Bro, look out!”
Qunnie Young screamed in terror. But as she looked at Leo Ray, she was stunned to see a calm, knowing smile on his face, as if he were the predator and they were the prey.
