"Very well. Your sense of duty and loyalty truly reflects the character of the Summer Realm's Lord."
Leo Ray ceased his questioning and moved forward, calling out to Qunnie Young, Ethan Young, and the rest of the party: "Follow my lead. We move out now."
The team surged ahead, venturing further into the depths of the vessel's hold.
Their progress was remarkably smooth, aided by Jess’s scouting and the protection of hidden allies lurking in the shadows.
After navigating through dozens of cargo bays of varying sizes, they soon reached an exceptionally vast and unique section of the ship.
As they traveled, Leo Ray utilized the time to trade intelligence with the Young siblings.
First, the siblings explained that in their home domain, the Lords had formed a grand alliance. By combining their diverse talents, they managed to overthrow a local tyrant known as Duke Erosion Bone.
This self-proclaimed duke had been a cruel ruler who dominated the majority of the Human Domain, frequently trading human villages to neighboring Barbarians to secure personal wealth and a fragile peace.
Secondly, while the Young siblings had learned of the "Great Catastrophe" through ancient prophecies, they lacked specific details. This confirmed Leo Ray’s suspicions regarding the nature of the Board Wars.
Whether one considered the arrival of ten billion Lords across countless worlds or the upcoming Lord Arena, every sign pointed toward a singular, inevitable climax.
Ethan Young noted his suspicion that a hidden hand was pulling the strings of fate, though he was unaware of the "Prompting Voice."
Despite possessing several "Keys of Truth" and knowing of the "Gate of Truth" through lore, the siblings had never located the actual gate. Furthermore, they possessed no [Stone of God], as the records of humanity once holding such artifacts had been lost to time.
Leo Ray chose to be transparent, revealing that the "Prompting Voice" was actually the deity and explaining the origins of the [Stone of God]. He shared vital insights and safety measures for seeking the "Gate of Truth," leaving the siblings in a state of stunned gratitude.
Regarding the Era of Blankness, their knowledge mirrored Leo Ray’s, including concepts like the "Lost Relic Effect," though they used different terminology.
When asked for his perspective on the mystery of the Era of Blankness and the summoning of ten billion Lords, Leo Ray could only shake his head in frustration.
He had previously posed three questions to the "Prompting Voice," only to learn that while the deity still favored the Ten Thousand Clans, their current predicament was forced by an unknown, unavoidable necessity.
Leo Ray then probed for information regarding the Chosen Son of God and the Land of Divine Favor. Finding their knowledge lacking, he provided a brief explanation.
It was as he suspected; he had yet to encounter any other Lords who commanded the Power of Divine Grace.
Finally, Leo Ray discussed the phenomenon of "Corrosion," a revelation that left Qunnie and Ethan Young visibly shaken.
He kept the details vague, attributing his knowledge to ancient texts to avoid a conversation that would have lasted for days.
As they finished talking, Ethan Young offered a compelling theory: perhaps the Great Catastrophe and the Board Wars were merely two names for the same event—one used by prophets and the other by the Lords themselves.
It was certain that a full-scale collision between two different boards would result in an unimaginable disaster.
Leo Ray grew pensive at this suggestion.
If this theory held true, the impending Great Catastrophe was actually a looming war between Lords, a conflict capable of bringing total annihilation.
Leo Ray realized with grim clarity that he had to increase his strength immediately. Anything less would result in certain death.
The final Lord Arena might begin as a series of duels, but given the "Prompting Voice's" unpredictable nature, it could easily escalate into a chaotic, all-out war.
The sheer number of existing boards made the situation far more volatile and complex than he had originally envisioned.
“It doesn’t matter if the Great Catastrophe and the Board Wars are the same,” Leo Ray mused silently.
“Whether they are identical, sequential, or happening all at once, the path forward remains the same.”
Pushing these thoughts aside, he focused on the strange, massive cabin area looming before them.
According to Jess’s report, this zone was unlike any other. It was vast enough to fit over a dozen football fields, and parts of the hull had been carved out to allow the seawater to flow directly inside.
Rare, glowing Magic Moss grew here, casting a soft light that gave the area the appearance of an eerie, subterranean water garden.
“Your Majesty, there is a peculiar energy here that I cannot identify,” Jess reported with a stiff, mechanical nod. “However, this is the only path that leads deeper into the ship.”
Ethan and Qunnie Young watched Jess with unconcealed curiosity. To them, a Dark Elf was a pinnacle power, often more influential than the Light Elves of the forest.
They wondered how Liam Sanders had managed to recruit such a strange, powerful being.
Liam Sanders was already at the peak of Tier 5. Even without knowing his specific talent, he was clearly a formidable combatant.
But how could a Tier 5 Lord be this much stronger than them? Was his talent perhaps a rare form of puppet control rather than direct combat? The unnatural behavior of the Dark Elf suggested as much, yet his other followers seemed perfectly normal.
Noticing their wandering gazes, Leo Ray warned them: “Stay alert. This silence is likely the calm before the storm. Lord talents can be extremely unpredictable.”
“I understand, Chen,” Ethan Young replied, focusing his mind and nodding. “Give the word. We will follow you through hell if necessary.”
“Good. Prepare yourselves,” Leo Ray said, gripping his longsword. “We move through this area quickly. Do not stop for anything.”
At his signal, the group sprinted toward the far end of the massive chamber, aiming for the passage that led deeper into the ship’s belly.
As they entered the space, Leo Ray took in the details.
It truly resembled a floating courtyard. Symmetrical square pools were cut into the floor, rising and falling with the tide, surrounding a central stone platform that looked like a small plaza.
Just as Leo Ray suspected, the moment they reached the center of the plaza, the calm pools erupted. Massive waves surged upward, transforming the tranquil garden into a raging storm in a heartbeat.
