Max, still unsettled by the throne's alluring pull, decides to keep his distance until he gains greater understanding and sends his clone back to the Dimension of Spirit. He enters the Dimension of the Keeper, where Tian greets him with newfound respect and outlines the paths to unlock new dimensions: through perilous challenges or by advancing cultivation realms. Leveraging his recent ascent to the Rebirth Realm, Max activates a glowing machine, drawing forth a blue orb that binds the Dimension of Forge to him. Though untrained in smithing, he recognizes its vast potential for forging weapons tailored to his sword path and cosmic severance.

"I'd like to attempt the challenge method now," Max declared, shifting his attention to Tian with a composed but intent expression. "Tell me how this approach operates."

Tian responded promptly. "For this option, Master, you should select the dimension you desire to access first," he stated in a firm, deferential voice. "After making that selection, a test tailored to that dimension will appear."

He went on, "The test involves multiple trials. These trials vary in nature and aren't limited to battles alone. They get created at random and will evaluate Master's power, insight, and determination."

Tian stopped for a moment before continuing, "Should Master complete every trial in the test successfully, the selected dimension will open up and integrate into Master's dimensional framework. Should Master not succeed, the test concludes, and the dimension stays locked until Master tries the challenge once more in the future."

Max paid close attention, his mind already racing ahead. This way was obviously much tougher than the random option, yet it provided an advantage the other lacked. Control. Picking a particular dimension allowed him to strategize his progress rather than depending on luck.

"I get it," Max replied thoughtfully, a subtle grin tugging at his mouth. The challenge path held risks, but he had never backed away from peril. In fact, it was usually in such situations that he achieved his biggest advancements.

Right then, an immense catalog appeared in Max's sight, streams of glowing words scrolling down without end, every line bearing a dimension's title alongside a brief but deep summary.

As soon as he noticed it, his eyes gleamed with intensity, mirroring the overwhelming scope of the options ahead. The catalog wasn't just extensive. It seemed boundless, like it held potentials spanning across ages and worlds, with each dimension embodying a unique idea, setting, or dominion ready to be seized.

Still, Max kept his focus sharp. Though the urge to scan each detail tempted him, he cleared his mind and zeroed in on his actual requirements. His eyes darted quickly over the titles, sifting through them rapidly, hunting for a dimension suitable for humans or similar beings to thrive in safely and without limits.

He skipped over realms of harsh forces, aggressive emptiness, and vague notions that would shred typical creatures. His goal wasn't solely might, but a sanctuary.

In little time, his gaze halted.

Dimension of Genesis.

That title held gravity by itself, and as Max scanned the details, his breathing grew measured. This realm could shelter any kind of being without drawing outside notice. No energy would escape.

No waves in space would occur. No spiritual awareness, regardless of its potency, could sense the life concealed inside. Even the mightiest entities from the Divine Realm would detect absolutely nothing.

Max's chest tightened a bit as the implications hit him.

This was precisely the haven he sought.

"Having this dimension," Max whispered gently, a real smile blooming on his features as he gripped his hands tightly, "I'll be able to take Alice and Lena to the Divine Realm free of any concerns."

No chases, no watching eyes, no concealed threats from powers way above his level. They would stay secure, utterly invisible to the universe, until he grew powerful enough to shield them in the open.

In that instant, the vast catalog receded from view. To Max, just one option mattered now, and he was determined not to miss this chance.

As Max locked in his pick, the area in front of him shimmered softly, and a portal emerged from thin air. It loomed silently in the chamber, its face plain and featureless, but it exuded an unavoidable presence that demanded attention.

"Master, with your dimension selected for unlocking, this portal will guide you to the test required for it," Tian noted evenly from nearby.

Max inclined his head, staring at the portal. He advanced a pace, then halted. Glancing back at Tian, he inquired, "What sort of test awaits me beyond?"

Tian replied right away. "It will focus mainly on fighting."

"And what opponent faces me?" Max pressed, his eyes narrowing a touch.

"You'll discover that upon entering the portal," Tian answered.

Max gave a wry grin and exhaled lightly. Further questions wouldn't help. He extended his hand, swung the portal wide, and crossed the threshold.

The surroundings changed in a flash.

Max stood amid a thick woodland. Massive trees rose tall overhead, their branches shading nearly all the heavens, while the earth underfoot lay blanketed in dropped foliage and sturdy roots.

The atmosphere hung still, infused with smells of soil and plants, but an eerie silence gripped the spot. No bugs hummed. No fowl called. The woods seemed vibrant only in looks.

Instinctively triggering his Dimensional Sovereign Body, Max stretched his senses over the whole zone. The outcome sobered his face. The woods held nothing—no life or concealed entities—with just two presences noted in this realm.

One was his own.

The other lurked farther in the woods.

Max pressed on, his footfalls silent as he navigated the trunks, until the other form appeared. Nearing it, his vision grew keen, and realization struck.

"It's truly a puppet," Max murmured when he faced it directly.

The shape ahead resembled a person, its traits polished but oddly devoid of vitality, like it was sculpted instead of grown.

From his familiarity with Tian, another puppet, Max spotted the telltale markers at once. This entity wasn't a true cultivator. It was an artificial creation, built purely for this test.

Next, Max probed its energy more precisely, and his forehead creased.

"Its power reaches the pinnacle of the Rebirth Realm?" he uttered softly.

He hadn't anticipated such fierce resistance immediately, but as the idea took hold, the reasoning became clear.

Without real danger in the test, it couldn't properly safeguard a realm like the Dimension of Genesis. A trial for something so vital could never prove simple.
