Max settled onto the throne, surrendering to a profound peace that dissolved the tensions of his ascension and drew his consciousness deep into the interconnected dimensions, where boundaries of self and reality blurred into eternal calm. As he teetered on the edge of irreversible dissolution, his clone's frantic shouts pierced the serenity, yanking him away with desperate force. The severed link between their shared consciousness revealed the throne's true nature: a deceptive trap luring the Dimensional Keeper into an unending sleep disguised as ultimate tranquility.

Max gazed at the vacant throne for an extended period before gradually shaking his head. "This throne… I am simply not ready for it," he murmured softly, his tone infused with a hint of persistent discomfort.

He couldn't determine if it arose from his willpower lacking sufficient strength or from his incomplete grasp of the throne's true intent. It might have been a mix of both factors.

The throne wasn't an object to handle casually, and the ordeal had driven that home with stark clarity. No matter its function in the Dimensional Keeper's heritage, it required a degree of insight and mastery that Max hadn't attained yet.

Deciding against lingering on the matter, Max shifted his attention to his clone. A disturbing idea surfaced in his thoughts, sending a subtle shiver down his spine.

What if his clone had suffered the same influence from the throne? Should both have been drawn into that overpowering serenity simultaneously, neither would have been available to rouse the other.

Max envisioned the pair of them positioned there, their awareness gradually fading into the infinite dimensions, descending further until the very notion of stirring faded away.

He couldn't avoid pondering if they might have ever emerged from that perpetual slumber, or if they would have stayed ensnared eternally, held in flawless immobility.

Both possibilities caused a slight constriction in his chest. To perish not amid combat, not against a formidable foe, but to a quiet and seductive void—that would have been the most dreadful conclusion he could envision.

With this insight, Max solidified his choice. Until he completely comprehended the throne and held the power to confront its essence, he would maintain his separation, regardless of how enticing its summons became.

Afterward, Max dispatched his clone back to the Dimension of Spirit, where it could frolic and bond with Lilly as usual, while his primary form directed focus toward the entrance to the Dimension of the Keeper.

This had been his initial purpose for arriving here, and following the recent incident with the throne, his concentration burned brighter than ever.

Without excessive deliberation, Max swung open the door to the Dimension of the Keeper and entered.

What met his eyes was much plainer than anticipated. No expansive vista, no boundless heavens, and no crushing force appeared. Rather, the area ahead formed a serene and expansive chamber, pristine and structured, exuding an aura of composed dominance.

In the middle of the chamber stood Tian, awaiting with steady patience.

"Master, you are here," Tian stated while offering a deferential bow.

Max spotted the difference right away. Tian's bearing had shifted. The deference in his stance and voice seemed more profound and genuine now, as if Max's progression to the Rebirth Realm had raised his status in manners that even Tian couldn't overlook.

"Tian, how do I unlock new dimensions?" Max inquired straightforwardly, skipping any delays.

Tian rose upright and elaborated steadily. "There are two ways for Master to unlock a dimension. The first is through a challenge, and the second is through increasing your cultivation realm."

He went on, "Now that Master has reached the Rebirth Realm, you are qualified to unlock one new dimension at random. Likewise, when Master reaches the next cultivation realm such as the Law Awakening Realm, you will once again gain the right to unlock another random dimension, and this pattern will continue as your cultivation rises."

"I see," Max replied with a contemplative nod. Two routes existed. One proved immediate and risky, probably involving tests and fights right within the Dimension of the Keeper. The other offered consistent and dependable growth, linked straight to his cultivation advancement. Each carried advantages, but at present, the latter choice attracted him more.

After a short hesitation, Max addressed him once more. "I want to try unlocking a random dimension first."

"Very well," Tian responded with a nod, then lightly snapped his fingers.

Nearly at once, an object appeared in the chamber.

Max peered forward and observed what looked like an odd device. As he drew nearer, his comprehension grew. The device featured a clear front panel, and within hovered numerous azure luminous spheres, each throbbing subtly with a unique cadence.

They floated languidly inside the container, bumping and drifting apart like animated celestial bodies. Along the device's side rested a lone lever, basic in form yet evidently crucial.

Max required no clarification to grasp its function. If his assumption held, activating the lever would initiate the choice, freeing one of those azure luminous spheres.

He directed his eyes to Tian. "Should I?"

"Go ahead, Master," Tian urged with composure.

Max inclined his head, extended his hand, and drew the lever downward.

In that very moment, the device activated. Every azure luminous sphere within started swirling frantically, clashing and zipping about as if vying against each other. The radiance within the device amplified, bathing the chamber in a twinkling azure brilliance.

Following a short burst of turmoil, a single sphere propelled outward, emerging from the front slot and hurtling directly at Max.

The sphere settled softly into his palm.

Before Max could respond, the azure radiance flared, and the sphere melted into rivulets of light that streamed straight into his form. A torrent of novel knowledge inundated his thoughts, bearing the essence, framework, and dominion of a fresh dimension newly linked to him.

[Host has unlocked the Dimension of Forge.]

"Dimension of Forge?" Max whispered as the details integrated into his mind, his ideas gradually aligning with the notion freshly attached to him. "A dimension where I can forge weapons and armors."

The concept sparked his enthusiasm right away. Armor offered scant interest for him, given his route always leaned toward aggression and swift clashes. Weapons, though, presented an entirely separate prospect.

A dimension focused on forging implied the chance to craft swords, lances, and various tools of devastation tailored ideally to his cultivation, his laws, and his sword path. The possibilities loomed vast, particularly for one treading a universal route of division.

"But I am not a blacksmith," Max grumbled as a crease appeared on his forehead. "How exactly am I supposed to forge anything?"

He had never acquired smithing skills, nor devoted effort to crafting arms via standard approaches. Forging constituted its own field, demanding expertise, practice, and endurance.

After brief reflection, Max dismissed the concern with a head shake and a quiet exhale. He realized that fretting at this point would alter nothing.

The Dimension of Forge belonged to him now, and akin to all other dimensions under his command, its principles would unfold solely upon his entry. Past encounters had shown him that these dimensions defied ordinary reasoning, and the forging approach there wouldn't amount to mere hammer and anvil.

With this understanding, Max transformed his intrigue into poised eagerness. He recognized that the solutions he desired would emerge organically the instant he first ventured into the Dimension of Forge.
