Max’s advancement to the Divine Rank triggers a massive surge in power, instantly propelling him to the sixth level as five unique Divine Sparks manifest around his golden core. This unprecedented breakthrough immediately draws the hostile attention of the world's laws, which attempt to forcefully expel him from the mortal realm. To resist the overwhelming pressure of ascension, Max is forced to lock the space around himself and activate the Vein of Origin, desperately fighting to remain in Acaris just long enough to say his final goodbyes. Amidst the crushing strain, he notices a confusing lack of distress from his companions, who seem unaffected by the world's rejection.

With heavy, measured steps, Max approached Lucien and Freya, every movement he made burdened by the invisible pressure weighing upon his soul. The atmosphere surrounding him grew thick and warped, as though the fabric of reality itself was pushing back against his existence. Halting a short distance away, he observed their tranquil expressions with a slight furrow in his brow.

"Don't you guys feel the pressure of ascension?" Max questioned, his voice remaining firm despite the underlying strain as he looked from one to the other.

"I don't," Freya answered, offering a soft smile while maintaining a relaxed posture, appearing entirely unbothered by the world's rejection. "My true power was sealed by the laws of this world when we descended into the mortal realm. What you have witnessed until now is merely a fraction of my actual strength. I have only unsealed enough power to function within this world without causing its collapse, and even now, my primary strength remains locked away."

Max gave a slow nod as the explanation took hold. Prior to his conflict with Mark, he would have managed that level of pressure with little effort; thus, it was logical that Freya, whose Foundation originated far beyond this plane, remained unaffected.

He then shifted his attention toward Lucien.

Lucien gestured slightly with one hand and exhaled a soft sigh. "Don't look at me like that," he remarked with a trace of a weary smile. "While I am a being native to this world, I have been lingering at the peak of Divine Rank for many years. The pressure you are currently experiencing is something I have endured for a very long time. Eventually, one simply becomes used to it."

Max observed him for a moment before nodding. Now that Lucien had pointed it out, Max could sense it; the pressure was indeed surrounding Lucien, yet it no longer seemed to bother him. It had become a constant, background force that he had learned to live with.

"I am capable of ascending at any moment now," Max stated softly, casting his eyes toward the far horizon as if he could perceive the realms beyond the sky of Acaris. "The world is no longer concealing its intentions. However, there is one matter I must resolve before I depart."

He turned back toward his companions, his gaze turning resolute.

"I must ensure that someone takes up the crown."

"The crown has been suspended in the air above Acaris for three months," Lucien noted with a light frown, looking toward the heavens as if sensing its distant aura. "It should still be seeking a worthy successor, but it has yet to acknowledge anyone."

Max let out a heavy breath. Three months had passed since the war's conclusion, and though peace had returned to the world, the crown remained without a master. He could sense its presence at all times—silent, watchful, and seemingly weighing every soul beneath it.

"Do not be overly concerned," Freya said soothingly, her voice filled with quiet confidence. "The crown will not choose a candidate in haste. It seeks an individual capable of sacrificing their own life, their family, and everything they cherish for the sake of the world. Such determination is rare; finding such a person will never be a simple task."

Max nodded, absorbing her words. The weight carried by a crownbearer was more significant than any Cultivation realm, a fact the crown understood better than anyone else.

"You ought to go and get ready for your ascension," Freya suggested with a playful grin. "I suspect your two friends are waiting for you with great anxiety."

Max couldn't suppress a smile at her comment. He gave her a sharp nod, and in the following instant, his form blurred and vanished from sight.

Once he had departed, Lucien turned to Freya. "When shall we begin our own ascension?" he inquired.

"Right after my brother ascends," Freya answered without hesitation. "I will only feel comfortable enough to follow once he has safely reached the Divine Realm."

Lucien nodded slowly. "In that case, I will attend to a few personal matters," he said. "I will see you again when it is time for Max to ascend."

Freya bowed her head slightly in acknowledgment.

With a faint smile, Lucien disappeared, leaving Freya alone in the silence.

Alice and Lenavira stood together on the balcony of Alice’s chambers within the Phoenix God Nation, bathed in the warm radiance of the setting sun. Although the sky was vast and clear, both women appeared distant, their eyes reflecting a quiet sorrow they made no attempt to conceal.

They understood the significance of this moment. Max’s departure for the Divine Realm was imminent, and despite their deepest wishes, they were unable to accompany him.

Their current strength was still far from what was required to enter the Divine Realm. Ascension was a goal they both cherished, but it was a path that demanded time, hardship, and endless challenges. For the moment, they were relegated to watching and waiting.

As the heavy silence deepened, Max’s figure materialized behind them.

"What is on your minds?" Max asked gently, wrapping his arms around both of them. He pulled them close, resting his chin softly atop their heads. He had sensed the weight in their hearts even before seeing the looks on their faces.

Alice inhaled deeply and looked up at him, her gaze burning with resolve rather than hopelessness. "We will ascend to the Divine Realm once we have attained the peak of Divine Rank," she declared firmly, her voice echoing with determination.

"Yes," Lenavira chimed in, nodding her head as she turned toward Max. "We will definitely achieve ascension."
