Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy Chapter 1172: Eliminated
Previously on Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy...
Having seized this territory, the two Chaos Immortals were already accustomed to facing those who bore them a grudge. Being targeted by enemies was hardly a shock to them anymore.
While they tried to avoid pushing the locals to the absolute breaking point—recognizing their need for the land's resources and labor—they believed some fools simply required a harsh lesson to understand the futility of resistance.
A sneer curled Velthar’s lip as he spotted a solitary figure dressed like a priest approaching...
"Another fool seeking favor. Dispose of him," he commanded.
Yet, Vale’s eyes flickered with a faint light before either of them could make a move.
The Mindpierce Invocation was already active. Kharon suddenly stumbled, gripping his skull as his consciousness began to splinter. Though they had detected no hint of Divinity just moments prior, by the time they sensed its presence, the opportunity to react had vanished!
The strike had already landed!
Velthar swung his hand up to manifest a Chaos Spell to intercept the assault, but Vale’s second incantation was already tearing through the air!
It was the Delirium Echo. A surge of psychic energy slammed into Velthar, fracturing his focus into a chaotic tempest of hallucinations. He perceived foes in every direction, shadows lunging from the dark, spectral chains pinning his arms... and a flood of nonsensical thoughts he couldn't grasp!
His mental defenses were being crushed!
Desperate, he unleashed a violent wave of Chaos Energy in an attempt to vaporize everything around him. However, the blast hit nothing but empty space.
Kharon fought to regain his senses, but Vale was already chanting another spell... Cerebral Eclipse.
This high-level Psychic Spell was truly horrific. Within seconds, it caused his mental domain to implode into total silence.
Kharon’s limbs locked in place, and his gaze turned hollow as his very will was snuffed out.
Velthar let out a scream, his mind buckling under the crushing weight of the false realities surrounding him. Vale then executed a final Mind Collapse, completely severing his ability to reason.
The entire sequence occurred in a flash...
The Immortal’s physical form remained upright, but his mind was gone, reduced to nothing more than primitive fragments of instinct.
In truth, the entire skirmish had lasted less than sixty seconds.
Just like that, silence reclaimed the plaza. Nearby mortals and overseers watched in sheer terror as the two Chaos Immortals stood motionless like stone monuments, their eyes vacant and their internal Divinity extinguished.
Raising his hand once more, Vale triggered the Emperor’s Domain.
The heavy, suffocating pressure of the Spell’s aura expanded outward, forcing everyone into a state of absolute silence and submission. Not a single person dared to move or utter a sound.
‘Two more down,’ Vale mused, already calculating how many more he needed to eliminate to ensure these Chaos Immortals would never pose a threat to his Territory again.
Once more, Vale walked away, leaving behind no scent of dark energy or any clue to his true self.
To those watching, it appeared that the Chaos Immortals of Drelmar City had been purged by a cryptic Immortal of the Divine or Psychic Path, mirroring the fate of Rhaziel.
Because the elimination happened in front of so many witnesses, the news traveled with incredible speed.
Before long, a wave of panic surged through the western territories. Local broadsheets and newspapers were quick to spread the word...
Three Chaos Immortals had been slain in a mere forty-eight hours. Their corpses bore no wounds or signs of a physical struggle—only empty shells with extinguished Divinity.
The Chaos Crusaders and the Arcanists who served under the Chaos Immortals were gripped by anxiety.
It was undeniable that a predator was hunting the immortals of Chaos. They could only pray that they wouldn't be caught in the crossfire for their service.
"But who is the hunter?"
"Is it someone from the Shadow Domain? No, this feels different... Perhaps it’s the Church?"
"That's a possibility..."
Listening from the shadows, Vale noted that his disguise remained perfect.
The Chaos Immortals would likely point fingers at the Shadow Immortal, but they lacked any proof.
That uncertainty was exactly what Vale wanted.

Vale stayed in Drelmar City for a time. He observed the spreading hysteria and watched as several Chaos Immortals arrived to examine the remains of his targets.
‘Five investigators... but none of their high-ranking leaders are present,’ Vale observed. Having encountered the leaders before, he could easily recognize their specific auras and appearances.
Consequently, he decided to linger a bit longer.
He waited for the initial chaos to settle while he continued to monitor the unfolding situation.
Three Chaos Immortals had perished over two nights. While a devastating blow to a normal observer, Vale understood that this wouldn't be enough to truly break them.
While sitting in a local cafe, Vale contemplated his next move.
He was dressed in a standard suit, allowing him to blend seamlessly into the urban crowd.
His aura was perfectly tranquil, making him look like nothing more than an ordinary traveler.
"I wonder if they are treating this with enough gravity..." Vale whispered softly. "Will three bodies serve as a sufficient warning?"
"Probably not... They will just find replacements. If I want to secure lasting peace for my territory, I must strike a deeper chord."
Vale weighed his choices. He could wait for a high-ranking Chaos Immortal to appear while the seeds of fear took root. After all, an unidentified enemy was a terrifying prospect that even Immortals preferred to avoid.
However, mere paranoia wouldn't be enough to dismantle their operations.
Having reached a conclusion, Vale allowed a small smile to form.
"Three is insufficient. By tonight, the count will be five."
As night fell, Vale donned his priestly robes once more, prepared to hunt down two more Chaos Immortals.
He was well aware that the remaining Chaos Immortals would be on high alert. Despite their arrogance, they valued their longevity and survival above all else.
Unfortunately for them, Vale had already accounted for their caution. Since this was to be his final move for now, he decided to act with total boldness!
"Soon... the name of this mysterious Psychic Immortal will haunt your nightmares."
