Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy Chapter 1171: Who Dares?!
Previously on Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy...
The dark shadows that had enveloped Rhaziel were actually not a product of the Dark Arts.
In reality, Vale had launched an assault using an entirely different set of abilities. This time, he was unrecognizable to everyone.
His physical appearance had been completely transformed.
No longer did he wear the obsidian robes characteristic of a Shadow Immortal. Instead, his clothing was that of a dignified priest. He was dressed in a spotless white vestment with gold trim, a mantle featuring a cryptic goat emblem, and a hood that hid most of his face.
His presence was tranquil and nearly divine, effectively hiding the Shadow Divinity he possessed...
Despite being only an Avatar, he retained the capability to utilize every Spell from his various Arcane Paths.
Indeed, Rhaziel had not been consumed by the dark just now. His physical form remained unharmed, standing like a statue in the Belial City garden. It was his mind that had been annihilated!
Vale’s Psychic Arts had shredded the Chaos Immortal’s mental shields, obliterating his thoughts and tainting his consciousness until all coherence vanished.
The techniques Vale employed in this discipline included Spells he had previously extracted from formidable Immortals.
One such technique was the Mindpierce Invocation. This spell ignored physical armor to strike the soul’s awareness directly, leaving the target in a state of total disorientation.
He also utilized the Delirium Echo, a psychic ripple that forced intrusive thoughts to multiply, drowning the victim in a sea of hallucinations and distorted realities.
Additionally, the Mind Collapse Spells acted as a subtle shackle that severed the threads of logic, leaving behind only raw fragments of instinct. Vale had always been cautious with this particular magic because its effects were permanent.
If he reduced someone to a mindless state, there was no way for him to restore their intellect.
Finally, Vale unleashed the Cerebral Eclipse. This was the finishing blow dealt to Rhaziel, shattering his mental domain into a void of silence and wiping away his will without leaving a single mark on his body.
“That was much more efficient than I anticipated...” Vale thought to himself.
These Spells were undeniably potent. However, their drawback was that they could only target a single individual at a time!
If he were able to cast these Spells on multiple enemies simultaneously, it would be a truly terrifying power.
The Chaos Immortal’s body stood motionless with hollow eyes. His Divinity had been snuffed out from the inside. To any observer, it would look as if he had been struck down by an Immortal of a different path—perhaps Holy Arts, Mystic Arts, or Psychic Arts... There was absolutely no scent of the Dark Arts left behind...
Vale’s charade was flawless.
Furthermore, he had triggered his Emperor’s Domain Spell before initiating the strike...
This was no simple technique. It was a Fusion Spell created by extracting the essence of the Sin of Pride, merging four distinct powers into one dominant aura...
The four components included the Vanitas Veil, which hid his true essence... and the Conceit Chains, which acted as invisible bindings to crush the ego of his enemies, forcing them into submission.
Then there was the Dignity Decree, a command-based spell that demanded respect and compliance from anyone who felt it. Lastly, the Supremacy Surge generated a wave of absolute authority that raised his presence to that of a sovereign, eroding the mental fortitude of those nearby... It stood as one of the most formidable Psychic Arts in Vale’s repertoire, and when combined, they formed the Emperor’s Domain...
At this moment, Vale bore no resemblance to a Shadow Immortal. He appeared as a sovereign priest, a monarch draped in divine light...
It was not long before someone stumbled upon the remains of the Chaos Immortal...
The discovery occurred the following morning when a group arrived to offer their daily tribute to the Chaos Immortal.
“Who... who could have done this?” one person whispered, trembling with fear...
“This is a disaster... An Immortal has fallen here? Will we be held responsible?”
“I didn't hear a struggle at all. Is it possible he died of a sickness?”
“You fool... That is an Immortal. They don't die from sickness. This was an assassination.”
“We must report this to the Chaos Crusaders immediately.”

Vale was, naturally, observing the scene from the shadows... Once he was certain that his plan had succeeded, he slipped away... He left behind no evidence of Dark Arts or any clue to his real identity.
To the rest of the world, it would appear that Rhaziel had been taken out by a nameless Immortal from the Psychic or Divine Path.
That was exactly what Vale wanted.
By the following night, news of Rhaziel’s demise had not yet reached the western territories. While the death of an Immortal was massive news, the Chaos Immortals were generally self-centered. They preferred not to involve themselves unless a situation affected them personally.
They assumed that figures like Kent, Gyn, Thassa, Neylan, and the other leaders would handle such problems. Unless summoned by those high-ranking individuals, they remained within their own domains.
Seeing this lack of urgency, Vale felt even more motivated to proceed.
Once more, Vale traveled through the darkness, maintaining his priestly facade.
He actually found himself enjoying the role...
His aura remained peaceful, perfectly masking the darkness hidden within him.
This time, his path led to Drelmar City, another bastion for the Chaos Immortals.
Two of their lieutenants resided here. These were Immortals named Kharon and Velthar, tasked with supervising the gathering of resources.
Both were prideful, convinced they were safe within their heavily guarded territory.
“Another pair of ideal targets... They aren't decoys either... This should be simple...” Vale mused as he reached the central plaza just as the two were checking over a shipment of spirit stones.
He offered no warning before striking. Vale simply toggled his Emperor’s Domain Spell to hide his nature and walked forward like a holy priest arriving to cleanse the pair!
Kharon scowled as he felt the stranger’s presence.
“Who dares to approach us without showing proper respect?”
