Apocalypse Gachapon Chapter 1910: Final Novice Battle (3)

Previously on Apocalypse Gachapon...
Wolim unleashed a barrage of short spears at Jie Su, forcing the Su Clan leader to defend desperately with his daggers, punches, and dodges while his two companions struggled against overwhelming foes using water chains, the Silk Sea Light Array, and versatile Talos Red Dwarf weapons. On another front, White Robe charged the vengeful trio of Talos Red Dwarves, bearing the brunt of their assault as Mu Hanyi, Mechanical Genius, and other Novices barely held the line amid mounting pressure. Yisewei's group faced the lightest resistance, as wary attackers hesitated to harm the Sheke Star heiress and her elite guards, instead shifting to bolster assaults elsewhere and straining her allies further. As the battles teetered on collapse, Jie Su and White Robe hoped for Ye Zhongming's aid, and at that moment, he rose from his absorption, altering the tide.

A unusual hue flickered in Ye Zhongming's gaze.

Anyone standing right before him and peering closely would notice how his eyes held an enchanting depth, like they concealed far-off, profound, and endless mysteries.

With a casual lift of his arm, a shadowy mountain summit materialized over the heads of those seasoned fighters lounging on Yisewei's flank, plunging straight down.

Folks who had some insight into Ye Zhongming recognized this technique; he'd deployed it on multiple occasions before.

Mountain Shadow Press.

This action instantly captured everyone's focus across the area. The clashes eased up because of it. Ji Ruiguang, Helsky, and their companions glanced skyward, sensing something off about this strike. It felt like... the size had shrunk a touch, yet the illusion appeared denser and more tangible.

Yisewei cast a puzzled glance back at Ye Zhongming, baffled as to why his initial strike post-recovery targeted her group.

Indeed, the assailants here had grown so lax that Yisewei could afford to twist her neck freely.

Once he unleashed the skill, Ye Zhongming ignored it entirely and turned his sight afar.

Those observing Ye Zhongming couldn't grasp the situation. Why was he zoning out amid such fierce combat?

The Cloud Peak King wasn't truly drifting off at this moment. Rather, he scanned for his next mark.

His eyes locked onto a ridge a few kilometers distant from the site.

Next, he extended his arm once more, pointing at that modest height, no more than a couple hundred meters.

In the instant that followed, the whole peak let out a thunderous growl and started crumbling apart.

The noise boomed fiercely, drawing eyes from those lingering on the outskirts.

Normally, shifts in the terrain wouldn't pique the interest of these mighty beings, but their sharp sight caught an immense shape emerging gradually from the billowing debris of the fall.

Simultaneously, a fierce surge rippled through, quickening pulses everywhere.

Before the creatures on site could puzzle it out, a massive, savage bellow erupted from the haze, shaking both sky and soil.

That dark silhouette burst forth from the cloud, unveiling its actual form.

It turned out to be a colossal, savage gorilla forged from stone, so realistic that even the quivering of its sinews in motion stood out sharply.

Its orbs gleamed like midnight, its maw crammed with jagged, pale stone fangs. Even the fur covering it consisted of barren twigs, ending in razor points.

The moment the behemoth gorilla showed up, it charged wildly at the fray. The span of several kilometers vanished swiftly beneath its strides spanning nearly a hundred meters, bringing it to the battle's fringe in no time.

Those obsidian eyes now burned crimson. Hitting the attackers' line's border, it didn't ease its pace. Instead, it slammed both feet ahead, using the momentum to vault skyward.

The peak's shade was already dropping. Certain beings beneath had started bombarding it relentlessly, striving to shatter it prior to impact.

These veteran fighters or beginners packed real power. In that brief span, the not-so-swift falling shade had dimmed noticeably, obviously drained of much vigor.

"Retreat." Yisewei assessed it quickly and pulled back with her pair of kin. As they withdrew, the soaring behemoth gorilla slammed into the vast peak shade. The crushing weight forced the shade to plummet faster.

The entities left below faced disaster. They lacked the chance to flee and got crushed beneath.

This went beyond the mere weight of the peak shade now; the gorilla's own might amplified it. When the shade vanished, the spot under the gorilla's frame lay in gruesome ruin.

"Kill it!"

A prominent veteran fighter close by bellowed in fury. He watched the behemoth gorilla flail its limbs, battering the foes nearby.

No surprise there!

Yisewei, with her attendant and protector, finally got why Ye Zhongming had dropped the vast peak shade on her lightly pressed side. That explained everything!

Now, the behemoth gorilla held down this segment of the barrier, releasing Yisewei and her two allies. The young heir of the Sheke Star promptly dispatched her aides to aid Jie Su, while she rushed to back White Robe.

The behemoth gorilla's debut on the scene stunned with its battle might. Its massive frame granted terrifying power, and its stone makeup rendered its guard unyielding like bedrock.

The thunder of its steps, the slams of its fists, even snatching up beings and crunching them in its jaws, proved deadly for beginners. Veterans too had to dodge its fury.

Just this one beast plunged the assailants into total disarray.

Ye Zhongming grinned, then turned his view elsewhere.

Over there, farther off, additional ridges dotted the landscape.

Certain watchers tracking Ye Zhongming figured the behemoth gorilla's arrival tied to the top beginner rising again. Spotting his stare at the remote ridges, their pulses raced.

Could this fellow morph ridges into behemoth gorillas?

Beneath their stunned stares, the Cloud Peak King lifted both arms this round and gestured at the far-off cluster of ridges.

As a result, those ridges detached from their bases and soared toward the clash.

What trick was this?

Gazing at these scores of ridges hurtling like bolts of lightning, everyone on hand shared this question.

But no matter what, it plainly aimed at the assailants.

"Kill that Novice!"

A voice yelled this command. Others stayed mute but seized the core issue.

Slaying Ye Zhongming ought to dispel these devastating assaults.

Yet Ye Zhongming denied them that shot. His arms yanked backward abruptly, and the cluster of ridges reached the vicinity, howling as they hammered into the earth.

Having pulled off this feat, Ye Zhongming confronted the strikes coming his way calmly. Dark vapor surged around his form, and the enhanced Double Poison Shadow colossus reemerged for all to see.

A howl laced with psychic force trailed right after, freezing the whole field. But neither the behemoth gorilla nor the scores of ridges halted, seizing the moment to ravage the attackers' ranks.

The dark vapor titan that Ye Zhongming became also launched into assault, raining blows and strikes that ruled the chaos, carving a heavy toll across the battleground.

Two towering shapes and a swarm of airborne ridges utterly overwhelmed this minor rise and its dwellers.

Following the first outbursts of shock and rage, the stellar kin observing from the void, along with the Survivor Fortresses, sank into quiet.

Their queries lingered unanswered for the moment, and they held no sway over the ongoing strife. All that remained was to observe in silence and await the unfolding events.

They'd discover whether this proved a mere fluke costing little, or... a burst capable of flipping the tide.
