Apocalypse Gachapon Chapter 1903: Person that can suppress White Robe

Previously on Apocalypse Gachapon...
Jie Su and his two clansmen activated the Silk Sea Light Array to trap a powerful masked intruder, who advanced steadily while mocking the formation's incomplete power and Jie Su's skills. Feigning desperation, Jie Su gradually increased the array's output, drawing out hidden observers who anticipated a mutual destruction. As the intruder's defenses crumbled under the escalating light blades and pillars, Jie Su revealed his ploy to lure threats away from his ally, unleashing full power to bisect the foe. From the nearby forest, a figure in tattered white armor emerged.

Jie Su gazed at White Robe, a subtle smile flickering across his face. The others all maintained a safe distance.

It was unavoidable; White Robe's gaze toward his close companion felt somewhat off. He could spark chaos in an instant, and anyone nearby might get dragged into the fallout.

Yet Jie Su was certain everything would be okay. If anything could truly rein in the other, Yisewei was without doubt White Robe's perfect counter.

This young woman from Sheke Star served as the destined heir to a powerful lineage. Her looks went without saying; even her rank and standing outshone what White Robe could match. The Star-Eye Clan, when set against her, appeared utterly feeble.

However, this regal princess, after stumbling upon White Robe by chance, instantly developed affection for the wild man from a minor group and boldly chased after him.

The incident once stirred massive controversy. Plenty speculated that, considering the Sheke Star Lord's deep fondness for his daughter, he could well consent, as long as the Star-Eye Clan integrated into Sheke Star.

Surprisingly though, both White Robe and the Star-Eye Clan stood resolute on the issue.

To begin with, the Star-Eye Clan's two chiefs openly declared this as White Robe's personal matter; he'd choose his path alone. No matter his decision, the clan would support it. Even should White Robe depart the Star-Eye Clan to align with Sheke Star, that was acceptable. The Star-Eye Clan would still present its prized heirloom to celebrate the union of these two rising stars. But... the Star-Eye Clan refused to fold into any other faction.

This declaration apparently irked the Sheke Star Lord, who had stayed silent until then. He viewed the Star-Eye Clan's move as exploiting Sheke Star's prestige to boost their own profile, tugging at heartstrings to showcase their underdog resilience, seizing the opportunity for notoriety, securing bigger gains, and subtly bolstering White Robe's loyalty to the Star-Eye Clan, thus binding his daughter closer to White Robe and slyly reaping rewards from Sheke Star.

Although the Sheke Star Lord never voiced his stance on White Robe and Yisewei's potential union afterward, his earlier demeanor toward the Star-Eye Clan led many to declare doom for this unpaired 'pair'.

Afterward, White Robe personally stated that he held no romantic interest in Yisewei; they remained mere acquaintances. Neither presently nor down the line would they unite.

This further soured public opinion toward them. Some slowly came to accept that neither the Star-Eye Clan nor White Robe showed any desire to latch onto a mighty partner.

Still, whether fierce external backlash or White Robe's persistent iciness, nothing ever swayed Yisewei's devotion to him. This renowned figure across the seven survivor strongholds relentlessly sought the man she adored. Whenever possible, she'd show up right beside White Robe.

Even though... White Robe always responded with contempt.

In time, folks grew accustomed to the sight. After all, the pair surely wouldn't unite. It served as mere defiance against destiny, or perhaps a way to honor their current bond.

Yet nobody foresaw Yisewei, much like White Robe, holding back her power to venture to the Novice planet.

With her position, such a choice was downright reckless, stripping away all safeguards and exposing her to peril.

Jie Su believed that once they departed this place, the bond between them would truly end. The Sheke Star Lord would never permit his intended heir to chase after a lunatic like this anymore.

As to why Jie Su deemed it safe, despite teasing White Robe, it stemmed from Yisewei's real ability to manage him.

Above all, White Robe harbored remorse toward this woman deep inside. He wasn't heartless; he fully grasped the value of Yisewei's steadfastness, the depth of her emotions, and the scale of her sacrifice. His dismissals and chilliness inflicted great suffering on her. Under that mindset, he might rage wildly at others, but he'd keep his composure around Yisewei.

Moreover, even if he played the rogue and sought to unleash madness, he couldn't, for... he stood no chance against her.

Though their ages aligned closely, Yisewei, as heir to a grand lineage, had trained with her entire clan's assets from youth. In raw abilities or gear and artifacts, she far surpassed what White Robe could rival. Their sole true clash saw White Robe unleashing everything, yet he crumbled in under thirty seconds under Yisewei's assault.

Due to that, plenty wickedly guessed White Robe's refusal arose exactly from his inability to best Yisewei.

Thus, the Star-Eye Clan wildling, who moments ago dominated by slaying Shuoxing's fifth heir and outright terrifying Jing Wunan into retreat, now got tugged away by a grinning woman who softly tended the gashes on his torso, and he dared not twitch.

Their behavior paid no heed to the onlookers' feelings.

Meanwhile, he chatted with her three kin on the side. Her rank mirrored Yisewei's in their group. Witnessing her unharmed brought them more joy than their own escape from peril.

He inquired about events and discovered Yisewei had stepped in, partly for White Robe's sake. Once she secured her kin, she approached to express gratitude.

Yisewei differed from White Robe's aloofness; she carried a warm demeanor. She even drew He into cheerful banter. The attendant nearby observed, inwardly vexed, pondering, 'My lady, you show such affection to anyone linked to him. When will you offer us the same?'

"How much have you recovered?"

White Robe, finally breaking free from Yisewei's grasp, spotted Ye Zhongming tending to other gravely wounded survivors and voiced his astonishment.

He'd witnessed Ye Zhongming drained like a spent hound before; how was he bustling about so soon? How much time had passed?

"Seventy percent," Ye Zhongming approximated.

White Robe stayed silent, but his inner regard for Ye Zhongming climbed yet higher. It likely amounted to something along the lines of 'This guy's remarkably resilient.'

"Quit smirking over there. Doesn't this array require some energy boost or whatever?" White Robe glanced at Jie Su and remarked without concern.

Jie Su approached, settled next to the pair, and replied evenly, "It barely drew two percent from the reserves earlier. What's there to boost?"

"Rather than fretting over my Silk Sea Light Array, tend to your wounds. In roughly an hour, we'll face an assault."

"That exact?" Helsky, post-treatment, felt notably improved, though regaining even a bit of fighting strength might demand half a day. For the Novice battlefield's remainder, he'd merely observe, yet that didn't hinder his chatter.

"Yes, check the logs. The foes nearby are removing barriers, steadily massing. They won't be foolish enough to rush the Su Clan's energy array solo. They'll pool their forces for one massive strike; that's the smartest approach. And with little time left on the Novice battlefield, they must reserve at least an hour to execute the push." White Robe explained gravely.

"That signifies, if we endure that single onslaught, the Novice battlefield concludes. If not, we'll crumble right at the finish line."
