Apocalypse Gachapon Chapter 1883: Qiuqiu is angry

Previously on Apocalypse Gachapon...
Ye Zhongming faced a formidable half-beast warrior in a desperate battle, his Earth Spirit entering evolution and leaving him without the Black Earth Armor. He summoned Mountain Press to envelop his foes in a descending mountain, but the half-beast countered with Dazzling Palm, Hidden Staff, disrupting Ye's control and launching a lethal strike that Ye barely evaded using his elbow and teleportation. Entering a semi-transparent illusion state, Ye transformed the mountain into a shrinking earthen ring that trapped the immobilized half-beast, signaling an ally to deliver the fatal blow.

The speed was overwhelming. It happened so quickly that the rookie couldn't even respond before his form was hurled straight at the foe.

Only after he managed to twist his shoulder and swing his blade against the vine did he realize he was already within the enemy's striking zone.

The arm of this Gurui Star Race fighter abruptly morphed into an enormous wooden sword, broad as a gateway. Amid the shocked stares from the remaining two rookies, it cleaved the ensnared one clean in half with a single strike.

As a result, what started as three individuals confronting a single Gurui Star Race opponent now dwindled to just two struggling to persist. With spirits plummeting and power tilting unfavorably, a breakdown could strike at any second.

If a single fighter could fall despite three assailants, picture the certain doom facing only two—it was merely a question of moments.

And should this front crumble, whichever side this Gurui Star Race combatant reinforced next, it spelled doom for the rookies. They stood no chance against the joint assault from two formidable foes.

Mockery twisted the Gurui Star Race fighter's features. These rookies overestimated their abilities, fancying that three of them could keep me at bay?

A multitude of vines erupted from behind him without warning, their ends razor-sharp, plunging savagely at one rookie as if a peak were crashing down.

The rookie had no desire to evade; he attempted to shift away. Yet the vines kept realigning as they fell, clinging to him like a parasite. Beneath his eyes wide with dread, they converged into a colossal vine spike thrusting at his frame.

It's over!

Not just the rookie believed that, but his ally rushing to aid him felt the same despair.

The Gurui Star Race fighter's action was far too swift and abrupt; any attempt to intervene came too late.

The already dire circumstances, which had worsened sharply before, now teetered on total ruin.

A ghostly pale figure burst forth from the flank, slamming into the rookie who had resigned himself to fate with eyes squeezed shut. The force knocked him aside right at the point of impact. The clustered vines pierced toward this figure instead.

The rookie who narrowly escaped death pried open his eyes to find a modest orb had taken his spot. The vines bore down on it, denting a wide section of its surface. Faint white threads drifted around the orb.

What in the world was that?

This was, of course, Qiuqiu.

The tiny creature had been roaming freely on the rookie world, wandering off alone to unknown spots but never straying far. It always returned swiftly whenever Ye Zhongming called for it.

Earlier, Ye Zhongming hadn't beckoned it, figuring that even Qiuqiu's arrival might not turn the tide.

Things had changed now. Thanks to Ji Ruiguang's support, Qiuqiu could fulfill its purpose.

Qiuqiu's diminutive eyes on its compact form swiveled to regard the vines embedded in its flesh. Regardless of any agony it might feel, its ghostly hue shifted to crimson.

This was a sight Ye Zhongming had never witnessed.

Mm, mmm, mmmmm... A string of noises escaped Qiuqiu, their intent unclear.

For anyone observing, most would wager that Qiuqiu was furious.

Truth be told, Qiuqiu was indeed enraged.

The Gurui Star Race individual before it had inflicted harm upon it.

Puchi puchi—scores of threads burst from its petite form, encircling the forward vines layer by layer, ultimately securing them with a firm knot.

Next, the little Qiuqiu's frame deepened in red, evolving from a pale tint to a vivid scarlet. It seemed as though... it was straining with effort.

The Gurui Star Race fighter had no clue what Qiuqiu was, yet he sensed his typically effortless vines growing taut, nearly immobilizing him.

What was his predicament? Since these vines sprouted from his rear and all thrust ahead in unison, his whole body was thoroughly bound by them.

That is, save for his legs, the entirety of him was self-entangled.

He strained to escape. The vine spike parted a fraction. But right away, Qiuqiu over there uttered a couple of mms, cinching the 'vine segments' that had bloomed like petals.

The Gurui Star Race fighter pushed harder; Qiuqiu mmmed once more. The 'vine segments' parted and clenched repeatedly. The pair fell into a tense standoff, repeating the pull in fleeting deadlock.

The pair of rookies close by wouldn't squander this chance. They leaped in to assail the Gurui Star Race fighter.

In a direct clash, rookies were no rivals for these seasoned warriors. Not merely two—even three or four would fall short. The prior slaying of one had demonstrated as much.

Yet with him bound by Qiuqiu, stuck in utter defensiveness, even a lone rookie could finish him off unable to retaliate.

A pair of energy blasts hammered the Gurui Star Race fighter's rear, instantly spraying twin jets of emerald blood. But as the duo prepared to press the assault, a duo of creamy-white appendages whipped forth from the gashes, cracking at them like lashes.

Their forms were flung airborne in a flash, and the gear shielding them shattered into hefty chunks.

Upon hitting the ground, they coughed up blood.

Terror gripped the two rookies, for the vines now under Qiuqiu's grip weren't this potent, right?

Their lives hung secure, but the wounds were serious enough to halt further strikes for the moment.

After snapping at their marks, the two springy, creamy-white limbs began to stretch, pouring endlessly from the Gurui Star Race fighter's form, rapidly surpassing meters in span.

Then, they lashed at Qiuqiu's frame.

The already compact orb was propelled rearward. Its scarlet shade faded at once.

Still, just as the Gurui Star Race fighter believed liberation was at hand, he noticed the threads binding his vines remained firm. Rather, they had stretched along with Qiuqiu's retreat, unbroken, linking the combatants still.

Mmmmmmm! Qiuqiu emitted a prolonged chain of mms, its form expanding somewhat. As it retreated and the threads pulled rigid, Qiuqiu hit its threshold and rebounded, hurtling at the Gurui Star Race warrior like a projectile.

The threads were extended, weakening the hold on that end. The 'vine spike' gaped slightly. Spotting this, the Gurui Star Race fighter clamped it shut deliberately, pointing the apex to counter the charge.

Qiuqiu charged undaunted.

The apex plunged deep into a chunk of Qiuqiu's body. For an instant, it warped into a hollow half-sphere.

The clash's momentum drove both backward. Before the Gurui Star Race fighter could steady himself, Qiuqiu soared in once more!
