Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2918: 593: Seven Calamities Ancient Clan! The Lord Returns!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Levi proposed a vision of unity and expansion beyond the Multidimensional Plane to address the Giant clan's resource limitations, prompting Raffi and the other kings to agree after deliberation. The four Giant Kings led clans including Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Frost, and others—totaling twenty-four Level 9 experts—aboard Levi's spaceship, departing Ancestral God's Land under a supreme seal that erased their memories of it. As the Giants embarked on their journey to Nora, Levi planned to seek out the Black Scale and Crimson Scale tribes in the Land of Oblivion to complete his Seven-Colored Scale collection. In the Astral World, the Snow Goddess emerged from seclusion, sensing the land's opening and contemplating Sauron's grand scheme involving Levi and hidden forces poised to challenge the Star Ancestor.

Two years had passed.

In the Nora Calendar year 1722, during the Blood Battle of 1610.

Within the Land of Oblivion, in the Black Gold World.

This area stood out as one of the rare spots abundant in resources, drawing the attention of major forces from ancient times onward. A millennium ago, the Black Scale Clan surged across the territories and seized control of the mines.

Not long afterward, the Red Scale Tribe advanced into the Land of Oblivion as well. Inevitably, these two groups collided, incompatible as water and fire, their generational feuds building up over time.

The animosity boiled over to its height inside the Black Gold World, bursting forth like an active volcano. This ignited the millennium-spanning Black Gold War, where successive generations of clan warriors battled relentlessly right up to the present.

Across the battlefield, both sides deployed more than a hundred specialists at level 6 or higher, led by commanders who were all level 9 powerhouses. The numbers of lower-tier scale clan fighters were beyond counting.

A conflict of this magnitude ranked among the highest in the entire Land of Oblivion.

The Black Gold World split into halves, one portion turned into barren wasteland stretching thousands of miles, the other filled with raging black waters, meeting at the middle to create towering white fog that blanketed the sky and served as a natural divide along the horizon.

On that particular day, due to specific circumstances, a fierce clash broke out once more, filling the battlefield with the clamor of killing. Level 9 warriors from the Black Scale Clan and level 9 fighters from the Red Scale Tribe engaged in close-quarters brawls from time to time, or unleashed clashes of water against fire in ferocious struggles.

Black Ghost Nick and Red Ghost Rex stood as the supreme leaders on the Black Gold battlefield, heading their own clans and both possessing level 9 middle stage cultivation.

Their powers balanced each other perfectly, locked in combat for a thousand years without either gaining a final edge; one might triumph today, the other tomorrow. Yet on this occasion, Red Ghost brimmed with unusual assurance.

Gazing at the longtime foe it had faced day in and day out, it proposed capitulation, declaring, "Surrender, Black Ghost; it's time to settle this grudge that's lasted decades."

Black Ghost let out a chilling scoff:

"You're right, it needs to conclude. We found this Black Gold mine first—now leave!"

Red Ghost snapped its fingers sharply.

"Haha, blind to the disaster approaching... Red Dog, emerge."

From the earth, surging flames etched a massive formation spanning a hundred miles, out of which stepped a colossal red-furred hound, rising tens of thousands of feet tall and radiating the aura of a level 9 early stage being.

The fabled beast known as the Red Prison Demon Mastiff looked much like a Tibetan Mastiff, its sturdy legs as mighty as those of a Golden Lion, with saliva dripping endlessly.

"Woof woof woof!"

The demon mastiff blurred into a streak of crimson light, charging at Black Ghost while wrapped in flames that stretched thousands of miles.

Black Ghost's face shifted subtly.

"So that's the source of your boldness—you've subdued a legendary colossal creature... Sigh, even after a thousand years of strife, your spouse knows you less than I do. I noticed your absence for a year and guessed you were hunting for an ace up your sleeve; how could I possibly lack a countermeasure?"

A dark silhouette launched skyward, slamming a fist into the Red Dog's chest that made the enormous mastiff yelp in agony and reel back. The attacker was a massively built form, clad in deep blue-black scale armor and harnessing the forces of both Earth and Water. Its eyes burned with savage intensity, locked on the Red Dog in a blood-hungry stare that seemed stripped of all rationality.

At the sight, Red Ghost's expression twisted sharply: "Black Ghost, are you insane? Your Black Scale Clan has been hiding and cultivating the Forbidden Scale Clan in secret!"

Few in the world realized that the Black Scale and Red Scale Clans had once been a single entity in the distant past.

Back in ancient times, across the Multidimensional Plane, a certain group wielded such might that it placed in the top ten among all Pan-Plane powers, called the Seven Calamities Ancient Clan.

They were also known as the Seven-Colored Scale Clan.

Though not as inherently dominant as the giants, the bodies of this Ancient Clan remained outstanding. From birth, each member commanded at least one type of elemental force.

The less elemental powers they controlled, the quicker their advancement came. On the flip side, those with more elements progressed slower but proved nearly invincible against peers in the same rank, capable of taking on ten foes alone.

During the height of the Seven Calamities Ancient Clan's prosperity, the wizard civilization lingered in the primitive Antiquity Age, vastly outmatched by the scale clan. The Ancient Clan forged the grand Seven-Colored Empire.

In those days, the Seven-Colored Empire boasted hundreds of level 9 experts... Yet oddly, for all those high-level masters, not a single level 10 powerhouse emerged; other societies would have produced at least ten under similar conditions.

Thus, even surrounded by elite upper ranks, this clan failed to ascend to supreme status; they ought to have rivaled the Giant Empire as the second greatest civilization. That changed with the arrival of an extraordinary individual one day.

He was the ninth-generation ruler of the Seven Disasters, Munks, born with command over the energies of Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water—initially deemed a innate flawed constitution.

Much like wizards, handling too many paths of power inevitably hampered cultivation speed. However, differing from wizards, the Children of Chaos could deliberately focus on one path and specialize, whereas the Ancient Clan members innate with four elements endured it unwillingly, without the option to narrow their focus.

In truth, the Ancient Clan's development outpaced wizards by far; even those limited to a single element grew at a rate equivalent to double affinity among wizards. They paled in comparison to the elite Children of the Elements in wizardry.

The challenges of such a flawed body defied imagination.

As an exceptional figure, Munks strove to challenge fate; his talent might have been lacking, but his work ethic was unmatched, his heart pure and compassionate, and fortune smiled on him with allies and opportunities.

Though his progress crawled, he repeatedly pushed past barriers in nail-biting near-disasters, bolstered at times by patrons or blessed by unexpected windfalls.

In this way, he astonishingly attained the ninth-level domain and at last broke free of his bonds, emerging as the Seven Calamities Ancient Clan's sole level 10 powerhouse.

Upon hitting level 10, Munks fused Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water into unity, grasping Chaotic Power, then extended his dominion to include Thunder, Gold, and Frost, achieving the feat of a seven-element controller without precedent, proclaiming himself the Seven Calamities God—or the "Seven-colored Scale Master."

Once at level 10, the Seven-colored Scale Master rose as a standout among his peers, second only to the mightiest in the Giant Empire, like a dominant sovereign.
