Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2909: 590: Sauron’s Golden Finger

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Sauron, a transmigrator who began as an ordinary farmer, unearthed a fragment of the ancient [Wisdom Tablet] while plowing, a Primordial Relic that sealed wisdom across the astral world to keep beings ignorant and under divine control. Rising to become a Legendary Wizard, he uncovered its role in suppressing knowledge, debunking fabricated legends that accused him of consuming a saint's brain for his intellect. Drawing on predecessors like the Ancestor of Frost Giants and Ultimate CreationKaz, who challenged similar relics but failed, Sauron attributes his path to the era's favor and vows to ignite widespread chaos across the Multidimensional Plane to forge a new age capable of defying the giants and the Star Ancestor.

Levi, long familiar with the teasing cliffhangers from the sly dog wizard Sauron, quietly stored his bookmark without a word.

He appeared to have anticipated this twist, whispering under his breath, "As expected, Sauron has his own golden finger after all... No cheats mean no chance in this hopeless Land of Darkness, gripped so fiercely by the Four Great Giants, leaving mortals with zero shot at ascending."

A lifetime scripted from cradle to grave for someone.

Regardless of their genius or incredible fortune, no ripples can ever form.

In the end, everything circles back to this simple truth.

Nothing but the [Primordial] stands against another [Primordial].

From the birth of Heaven and Earth sprang countless primordial beings, and per Sauron's ideas, their role was meant to refine the cosmos's laws, forging an ideal realm.

Yet with awareness dawning and the primal drive to gain the upper hand, certain primordial entities inevitably start dominating and manipulating the rest.

Because of that, the universe's path twisted astray.

Eventually shaping the world as it stands today.

The ancient power holders, with their immense strength, of course seek to hoard all resources, stifling any progress from those who come after.

At its core, this ties back to the Land of Darkness—or the cosmos's "resources," which stay limited at any given point in history.

The universe keeps growing, sure.

But the pace is agonizingly slow.

It can't match the speed of depletion at all.

Initially, Levi figured Sauron aimed to elevate Nora into a counterweight against the Four Great Giants, maybe throwing in the insects too.

That way, a new lineup of Six Great Giants would emerge.

However, Levi now senses Sauron's goals run much deeper.

His plan could be to completely wipe out the Abyss, Astral World, Nightmare, and insects... The Underworld, being an ally, would likely get a pass.

Once those titans fall, the Land of Darkness frees up vast resources, plenty to fuel the rise of the Nora Wan Clan.

Boiled down, it's all about the fight!

Steadying his racing thoughts, Levi soared from the grand hall.

Assuming things proceed smoothly, two more temples await in the Ninth Layer.

The clash between the King of Ten Thousand Dragons and the Lord of the Stars in their twilight years was no accident—it was staged on purpose. The Star Dragon King's shift to the astral world for godhood might not have been just for lifespan extension, or at least... not solely that.

When you can't defeat the foes, blend in with them.

Body in the Cao camp, but heart loyal to Han!

Play the part in the astral world, biding time for the perfect strike!

That's the "Avengers" pact Sauron assembled!

Impressive—a scheme masterfully woven through the ages.

Levi's pulse quickened with thrill for an instant.

Sauron downplayed it, claiming he's worthless without the Wisdom Tablet.

Still, his ability to orchestrate such intricate plots, mapping every move precisely.

In Levi's view, Sauron's status as the wizards' forefather hasn't fully crumbled.

What has shattered is Sauron's odd sense of style.

This temple run brought solid gains.

A chunk of Divine Crystal, a divine weapon, plus a Nine-level Treasure.

Above all, he uncovered the route to the Giant Kingdom.

Without it, even reaching the Land of Oblivion might only lead to stray tribes of common giants, missing the heart of their legacy.

...

Jin discovered the temple.

The creature brimmed with smugness, having once more outpaced the hound.

With half a year left, overtaking it entirely before the ancient tower seals shut seems effortless.

One month passed.

Deep in a secluded valley hid a dark Cold Pond.

A golden-furred mouse floated overhead, eyes darting wildly.

Levi advanced boldly, flicking his hand to unleash a gale that drained the pond's waters across a thousand miles, exposing the depths where a massive white serpent, stretching thousands of feet, lay coiled. It radiated a Level 8 Late Stage presence, topped by a horn... or more like a fang from some beast, etched with shimmering Truth Runes.

"A Sun Refining Artifact paired with a transcendent beast—fascinating."

The white giant serpent tensed up, rearing like a cobra, baring its fangs as twin jets of venomous breath ate through the emptiness, lunging at Levi.

"The defiance of the feeble always looks so endearing to me."

Levi stayed calm; shielded by the Vajra Sacred Realm against flame and flood, he sauntered right up to the serpent and, under its stunned stare, delivered a resounding smack. The force buried it into the earth, leaving it stunned and battered.

Its eyes glazed over in shock, it gawked at Levi in terror, frozen still.

Levi spoke gently,

"From now on, stay sharper. I could wreck your lair without effort, so skip the pointless fights—survival matters most. Anyone else would've turned you into serpent stew."

He plucked the anomaly from the serpent's crown.

"I'll name you the [Poison Dragon’s Tooth]."

This anomaly hailed from the Ocean Faction's variants, brimming with toxic power. It suited Triss perfectly for forging, outshining her current Five Poison Strange Objects and pushing her further ahead.

This white giant serpent looked forged from unyielding steel, but it truly stood out.

Known as the [Sky Frost White Snake], it echoed the Chaos Ancient Serpent as a draconic serpent form, reaching Legendary status even as a young one.

Levi thought of his fallen comrade, White Snake Jorman—its draconic heritage probably traced to this Sky Frost White Snake.

"Join me; you'll never mature stuck here."

Levi murmured kindly, channeling the Power of the Green Emperor Dragon to mend its injuries.

The Sky Frost White Snake sensed warmth flooding its form, a rare ease washing over it.

It dipped its serpentine head, signaling surrender.

With Levi's Dragon King aura overwhelming, taming a Dragon Clan member was routine.

...

Days slipped by steadily.

Over the leftover months, Levi amassed several fine treasures.

Such as, without limit:

The Sun Refining Artifact [Fire Crow’s Nest] from the Land of Extreme Fire, the Nine-level Treasure [Sword of the Copper King] from forgotten ruins, the Level 9 Gail Ore and Level 8 Purple Crystal unearthed by the hound... among others, not every one detailed.

As the ancient tower neared its shutdown.

Jin led Levi to the last trove of riches.

A fallen colossal tree spanned the canyon, pulsing with potent Dark Energy that devoured nearby light—it was [Black Star Wood].

"Craft it into the wizard tower, and the core Elements and Energy Sects will be fully set... Ideal." Levi released Eternal Star Abyss, drawing it inside.

Beneath the Black Star Wood in the gorge, clusters of creepy eyeball-like plants sprouted, twitching and whispering faintly.

All at once, the eyeballs swiveled to Levi, lids peeling back. Far from alarmed, Levi grinned, sweeping his arm to uproot the soil in a broad sweep.

"[Ghost Pupil Grass] of all things—fate truly favors me."

Ghost Pupil Grass counted as an Eight-Circle Herb, long extinct beyond these borders.

It could brew into [Shattered Dream Potion]. Drinkers gain lasting [Shattering Dream Eyes], piercing through typical illusions under Level 8. Amid the ongoing Nightmare threats, this brew was set to fly off the shelves.

The next dawn.

Levi made his way back to the Land of Darkness.

An indescribable gray fog cloaked the entire area.

He clicked his fingers, summoning endless flames that surged outward while gales howled without end; once the blaze and gusts faded, the fog lingered on.

A sneering tone echoed.

"You've stepped into my [Gray Mist Domain]—no escape now."

Levi peered into the emptiness, golden glow flickering in his gaze.

"Is that a fact?"
