"Stop forcing my hand!"
Trapped by the trio, the Poison Smoke Lady was waiting in desperation for reinforcements. Her nebulous form began to contract, eventually reshaping into a massive, pockmarked green star that resembled goosebumps, secreting toxic bile and emerald fumes.
She intended to self-destruct!
The battle-hardened Death Knight immediately activated the Overlord Secret Skill: Chaotic Sky. Utilizing a sword technique that warped the fabric of space-time, he pinned the Poison Flame Lady in place for a fleeting second.
In that same moment, Gargamel’s legendary spell reached completion.
A massive golden glyph materialized instantly within the ancient tome. Levi’s eyes flickered with recognition upon seeing it—it was the Chinese character for [Seal]!
He realized this was a character Sauron had transmitted to Gargamel via letter. Rather than a mere word, it was a synthesis of Sauron’s profound knowledge and power—a boon granted to wizards ascending to the Legendary rank to defend Nora.
Levi recalled seeing the character for 'Dragon' used by the Dragon Flame God Witch, and later the 'Phoenix' character from the Blazing Star God Witch. Now, he witnessed the 'Seal' character. He wondered if Sauron would bestow a character upon him as well, should he reach the Legendary level.
Legendary Magic: Gargamel’s Great Sealing Magic!
Golden chains erupted from the ancient book like divine retribution, each one impaling the green, celestial body. With a grave expression, Gargamel chanted his incantations, pouring a torrential sea of spell power into the chains. They expanded and multiplied wildly, growing large enough to encircle a world. Finally, the golden cage of chains slammed onto the battlefield, every link engraved with cryptic sealing rune inscriptions.
The muffled curses of the Poison Smoke Lady echoed faintly. Every wisp of green toxic gas that attempted to leak out was instantly vaporized by the runes on the chains.
Simultaneously, the green corrosion on Levi’s Blood Battle Armor vanished entirely, leaving him deeply shaken. This technique had fundamentally suppressed the Poison Smoke Lady; regardless of her deceits, resurrection was now impossible. Gargamel’s strength was truly formidable!
Levi reflected that if the demons possessed such absolute sealing methods, he too would be in grave danger. He reminded himself to remain vigilant.
Casting a legendary spell to imprison a demon was an exhausting feat for a newly ascended legendary wizard like Gargamel. His face was ashen as he sat to meditate. After consuming a potion to replenish his reserves, he let out a breath of relief.
"The danger has passed. I will keep it contained for now. We must find a secure location to finish it off and eliminate any future risks."
The Death Knight responded:
"Hell is currently in a state of total chaos. You should both return to Nora to keep this demon suppressed. I thank you for your aid on the Hell Battlefield."
Gargamel countered:
"This demon was brought down by the three of us together, and your role was the most vital. A level-10 demon is a treasure trove; you should accompany us."
The Death Knight shook his head in refusal.
"There is no need. Your assistance in hunting demons is more than enough; I require no further compensation."
Levi spoke up: "I am grateful for your rescue, Death Knight."
Had this level-10 undead not intervened, Levi feared he would still be struggling against the pursuit of two demons. Now, he had not only survived but had helped slay one. Even if it wasn't a solo victory, the sense of achievement was profound.
The Death Knight’s only desire was to endure the Hell Blood Battle and eventually reincarnate to begin his Cultivation anew. If he could cultivate a level-10 successor among Hell’s 72 Pillars before then, it would be even better.
Having spent this life as an undead, he felt a lingering connection to the race. He hoped at least one level-10 would remain; otherwise, after the conflict, the undead would be so oppressed by devils they might face extinction, left with no 'ghost rights' at all.
After bidding farewell, Levi and Gargamel recited their incantations. The Gate of Hell manifested slowly, and the two crossed back into Nora, soaring toward the Sorren Continent.
Since this was Gargamel’s first time sealing a level-10 demon, he worried about potential complications during the refinement. On the Sorren Continent, the Grand Council Chairman could handle any mishaps.
Sensing a new legendary presence, several legendary figures descended from the sky to greet them. President Edmund’s face beamed with an irrepressible smile.
"Fantastic, truly fantastic! Gargamel, you have reached the legendary realm."
Gargamel chuckled:
"I owe you my thanks, Grand Council Chairman, for saving me. I believe I have met expectations; had I failed to reach legendary, you would have endured that curse for nothing."
"Do not dwell on it. To have another legendary is a blessing... a blessing indeed..."
Edmund whispered to himself. Each new legendary wizard lightened his burden. He was confident that with Gargamel’s unique skills, he would perform brilliantly in the coming Blood Battle, likely outshining even standard legendary wizards.
"Our congratulations, Gargamel!"
"A job well done."
Gullwig, the Lady of Thunder, and various others arrived to offer their well-wishes one by one.
"Hahaha! I recall your origins are with the Death Sect, Gargamel. Even if you specialized in Sealing Science later, calling you a Death Wizard is still accurate."
The Hand of Netherworld Prison appeared the most delighted.
In history, the School of Death rarely had more than one legendary at a time. This was the first era where two legendary wizards stood together. Moving forward, the Death Sect would surely experience a renaissance, competing with the four major factions. Such healthy rivalry between Sects was the engine of progress for the wizard civilization.
Gargamel laughed out loud:
"That is true. I still consider myself a member of the Death Sect."
Such school divisions primarily mattered to those below the ninth-circle. In reality, upon reaching the Grand Wizard realm, many began to study a wide array of disciplines before focusing on a specific path to achieve legendary status.
