"Very well, then."
"However, during my time as a prisoner in the black market, I encountered a Mountain Giant Elder who might possess some information."
Bo Gang had established a reputation for himself, yet he remained loyal to his kin. His ambition was to migrate his entire tribe to the Ancient Dragon Continent for settlement. He harbored no doubts that his master would welcome the Giants under his protection.
"I'm listening. Tell me more."
Through Bo Gang, Levi discovered the existence of a giant elder known as the [Barbarian King]. This Level 6 Giant had lived over two millennia ago and resided within the [Land of Oblivion]. Located extremely far from Nora, this remote territory sat isolated from other worlds or civilizations, rumored to be a sanctuary for races forgotten by the passage of time.
Levi intended to pay a visit during his future travels. Most of the traditional sword and magic tribes had already gathered on the Ancient Dragon Continent, with the exception of the giants.
While his hoarding instinct played a part, his primary motivation was the immense potential inherent in the Giant lineage. Their bloodline could be traced back to a formidable Star God, and they boasted a Level 11 powerhouse like the Frost Giant Ancestor in their history.
If they could be incorporated into the Dusk Holy Temple, Levi could establish a specialized [Giant Soldier Knights] unit. Every member would essentially function as a cost-effective version of a Fire Dragon Knight!
Furthermore, he still needed to track down the remaining members of the three-colored Scales Clan.
Upon his return to the Imperial Palace, a message from Heim caught Levi's attention.
[Teacher, I have reached the seventh circle.]
Levi’s gaze shifted as he sent back a congratulatory thumbs-up emoji.
[Congratulations!]
At only eight hundred years of age, Heim’s advancement was nothing short of staggering. Such was the raw power of the Three Water Talents. It was worth noting that Heim had maintained a rock-solid foundation without relying heavily on Truth Oddities throughout his Cultivation journey.
Beyond his primary path, he had also achieved mastery in the arts of the pharmacist and array wizardry.
Having observed him for eight centuries, Levi was now certain that Heim was a "natural" three-talented prodigy rather than a reincarnated Legendary Wizard.
His tranquil temperament wasn't the result of possessing the memories of a sophisticated ancient soul; rather, it was a "side effect" of his Three Water Talents.
True goodness flows like water—gentle and yielding!
With Duke Rumon’s authorization, Levi had previously attempted to peer into Heim’s past life using the [Rebirth Stone], but no images had appeared.
Minotaur Moss had explained to Levi that the past lives of reincarnated Legendary Wizards were shielded from view. This was a condition of the ancient pact between Sauron and the Underworld.
However, when Levi used the Rebirth Stone on Heim again, he encountered no resistance.
In his previous incarnation, Heim had been a fish—not a transcendent creature, but a simple, common fish in the Endless Sea with a seven-year lifespan.
This revelation only heightened Levi’s expectations for Heim.
He wondered what heights a genuine three-talented genius could reach in this chaotic new era.
While he didn't necessarily expect him to match the prestige of the Grand Council Chairman, Heim surely needed to become a Legendary Wizard to fulfill the potential of his talent.
Currently, Heim remained very composed. As his teacher, Levi felt no anxiety; he knew Heim wouldn't stir up trouble for him in the outside world.
...
Six months passed.
Ancient Dragon Continent.
"So hungry, so hungry... ah, this canned food is delicious."
Leon finally stirred after a slumber that lasted decades.
His physical stature remained unchanged, still a tiny three-inch figure. Clad in Netherworld King Armor and perched upon a skeletal warhorse, he focused entirely on devouring his food stores.
His stomach swelled visibly as he consumed countless demonic souls, which were processed into threads of power. Around him, a multitude of wraiths ascended, forming a death energy cloud that stretched for a thousand miles across the sky.
Due to the fact that ninety percent of Leon’s diet consisted of demonic souls, the cloud took the shape of a wraith giant. It radiated a Level 9 Early Stage aura and wielded the destructive essence of Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water.
The commotion drew Levi to the scene. Watching Leon continue his feast, Levi remarked with a serious expression:
"The power of calamity is so intense; surely this little guy will be fine?"
A massive troll’s claw suddenly ripped through the firmament, lunging toward Leon. The limb was forged from the collective grievances of a myriad of demons—a force that even veteran nine-ring wizards would fear to face.
Leon was forced to set his can aside. He gave the horse’s rump a sharp slap and drew a golden longsword that was no larger than an embroidery needle.
"Witness my blade!"
He blurred into a streak of golden light, weaving through the lethal storm. As the skeletal horse neighed, Leon’s swordplay resembled rapid needle pricks. Though the strikes appeared weak, they caused the giant troll to shriek in agony as its massive form began to shrivel.
Finally, Leon opened his mouth wide and inhaled, swallowing the entity whole. As the calamity cloud vanished, Leon’s Level 9 pressure washed over the area. Seeing this, Levi finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The tiny figure zipped over to Levi’s side.
"Master, I’ve run out of canned food."
"Very well, come with me to the Hell Battlefield."
"Understood! From now on, Master doesn't need the Rebirth Stone to see the past lives of others. Leon can handle that now, and with much better clarity."
...
Two years later.
Nora Calendar 1592, Blood Battle 1480.
During this period, Levi and Leon operated like father and son, traversing Hell to hunt demons. Levi’s Shadow Dragon Group birthed another Level 9 Flame Demon King, bringing the total to five. His Monster Generals now numbered 72, forming a temporary unit known as the "Seventy-two Earth Evil Generals."
Through his relentless consumption, Leon also succeeded in stabilizing his ninth-level cultivation realm.
Having reached Level 9, he now wielded all the traditional powers of a King of the Underworld, reminiscent of the legendary soul-reaping figures of myth.
