Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1624 - 561: Full Moon Wizard’s Combat Power (Part 3)

"Ssss!"
The black beam smashed through the two fleeting blood-red rays, which held for barely 0.2 seconds, and slammed into the Devouring Snake’s avatar as it frantically twisted away.
Yet the Devouring Snake’s avatar loomed enormous, towering as the biggest of the seven divine beings that had descended. Even with its desperate maneuvers to escape, the beam still clipped the tail end of its massive form.
"Zzzz~"
Instead of piercing clean through, the black beam spread like ink dumped into a vast pail of pure water, swiftly tainting the Devouring Snake’s body.
"Hurry! Cut off your body!" the Nether Sea Goddess Hela urgently warned.
Her advice clearly worked. Gritting through the agony, the Devouring Snake swiftly detached the last hundred meters of its length, much like a lizard dropping its tail to escape death.
Oddly enough, the discarded section sprang back to life upon touching the earth, wriggling like a huge ebony serpent toward the Great Sage Tamriel’s position, standing watch like a loyal guard.
"Curses! That Demon Power is overwhelmingly potent. Without demigod-level power, contamination would happen in an instant," the Nether Sea Goddess Hela sneered.
Had they been able to arrive in demigod-level avatars, this Fiend Demon would pose no threat right now.
Their present state of recovery simply didn’t permit descending as demigods.
Even Rein, observing from a distance, stood frozen in astonishment at the unfolding events.
"Who would’ve thought a Divine Incarnation could get tainted so easily—this Demon Power fusion is truly a nightmare."
"Looks like the ideal fix is to split apart this Demon Power..."
...
Right then, the battlefield shifted once more!
Failing to fully take down a Divine Incarnation with his first blow, Tamriel appeared far from content, turning his gaze back toward the Nether Sea Goddess Hela.
"Be careful!"
The God of Hunting Luen bellowed, swiftly pulling back his massive bow to loose an arrow at the Goblin Sage Tamriel, apparently to throw off the incoming strike.
However, the black beam streaked right by the arrow and burst from the staff with a sharp ’whoosh’.
Luen’s shot fell just a hair short!
The Nether Sea Goddess Hela’s stunning eyes flew wide, caught off guard by how effortlessly the assault launched again, chaining strikes without pause.
In that critical instant, with the black beam mere inches from her, Hela dreaded she lacked the moment to amputate and endure like the Devouring Snake had—her avatar’s essence would soon fall to corruption.
The very idea sent a chill racing through her core.
Abruptly!
A streak of dark silver gleam, blurring beyond sight, crashed into the black beam just shy of striking Hela.
"Buzz Buzz!"
To the divine beings’ eyes, it revealed itself as a spinning, humming metallic disk vibrating at extreme speed.
This disk, spanning more than ten meters across, blocked for Hela like an unbreakable barrier.
Waves of dark silver force flowed across the disk’s surface like liquid, defiantly resisting the packed black beam for a few tense seconds until both faded away into nothing...
Snapping back to awareness, the Nether Sea Goddess Hela whipped her head toward the source of the dark silver disk.
Spotting the well-known figure, a tangle of emotions crossed Hela’s face.
In this dire moment, the sole person able to pull off her rescue had to be the newly ascended Full Moon Wizard Rein.
"Blasphemer, don’t imagine that pulling me from danger this once buys my thanks!" the Nether Sea Goddess Hela narrowed her lovely eyes and snapped icily.
Rein offered a faint smile without a word, merely lifting his hand.
In a flash, one, then two, then three... up to five enormous dark silver disks materialized from nowhere before him.
As the seven divine avatars braced themselves tensely for defense, Rein flung the five disks ahead, each tracing elegant curves aimed at the black vortex shield surrounding the ancient Goblin Sage Tamriel.
"Szzz~Szzz~"
The first dark silver disk slashed viciously into the black vortex shield on impact. The barrier quaked fiercely, yet it endured.
But as the second disk followed and bit deep, the shield buckled under the strain, eventually getting carved more than halfway apart.
The Goblin Sage Tamriel hastily lifted his Black Crystal Staff, pouring a flood of dark energy into the vortex shield to shore up its resistance.
Still, Rein’s remaining dark silver disks arrived one after another, and with the combined slicing of all five, the black vortex shield—which had weathered the united onslaught from the seven divine incarnations—exploded apart in a heartbeat.
It crumbled like a block of soft tofu diced into fragments.
And the Goblin Sage Tamriel himself got hacked into eight chunks right away.
The dark energy writhed alive, as if scrambling to pull itself together, but in the very next moment, the earth undulated like waves, and metallic walls enveloped the demon mist, now severed into seven segments.
It rapidly reshaped into a sturdy canister of gas, locked down tight.
Though the canister shuddered wildly without cease, the encasing metal walls gripped it fast, anchoring into the metal floor of the third basement like buried hills.
With everything settled, Rein pivoted and flashed a gentle grin at the stunned Nether Sea Goddess Hela, declaring:
"I didn’t save you; I simply... feared you’d end up in the Demon’s clutches."
Hmm?
The Nether Sea Goddess Hela’s brows knit in confusion at Rein’s remark.
Weren’t those basically one and the same?
"No, it’s not the same because.... even if you fell..." Rein, catching Hela’s confusion, clarified with a grin.
"It has to be by my hand, or it’d be such a waste....."
