Avoiding the topic would only confirm they have something to hide. It is easy to conclude that they are fully aware of the connection between the pirates and the Zhang family.
If that is the case, the Zhang family will undoubtedly strike with speed, and the three prominent families of Jinling likely lack the strength to withstand them.
Conversely, if they act oblivious and step onto the island, there is no telling what schemes the Zhang family might employ.
Since the Zhang family orchestrated the pirate raid on the vessels, it proves they have been stalking Wang Yue and his companions for some time.
In the isolation of the deep sea, they can easily jam communications and strike at their leisure.
Wang Yue does not fear the individuals on the island; it is highly improbable that they would deploy a "Degradation Realm" expert to scour this place. As for those below the "Degradation Realm," Wang Yue remains confident that no one can truly threaten him.
However, if he were to eliminate these people, even with blocked signals and no messages escaping, it would be a tacit confession. Such a coincidence would make it obvious that both the pirates and the Zhang family members were wiped out by his hand.
As for the idea of defeating them and then releasing them, Wang Yue dismissed it immediately; he must keep the true extent of his Cultivation hidden for now.
While the group remained stuck in a dilemma, Wang Zhiting suddenly spoke up, "I have a solution."
"What is it?" Wang Yue asked quickly. He placed great confidence in his younger cousin; much like her mother, she was celebrated as a brilliant woman in Jinling.
Her "talent" referred not just to her academic knowledge, but to her remarkably high IQ, which she rarely chose to flaunt.
"Live streaming," Wang Zhiting said with a grin. Activating the device on her left wrist, a virtual camera projected into existence instantly.
She panned the lens toward the Zhang family’s fleet for a moment before turning it toward the shore, announcing loudly, "Hello everyone! We have arrived at Island 0853. I didn't expect to find other ships here already. Looking at the insignia, they belong to the influential Tianhai Zhang family. Meeting such prestigious figures during our travels is a stroke of luck. Congratulations to us all!"
Brilliant! Wang Yue and the rest of the group silently praised Wang Zhiting’s quick thinking.
Through a live broadcast, many eyes would witness their situation. Even if the signal was cut the moment they landed and a disaster occurred, the public would immediately suspect the Zhang family of attacking Wang Yue’s party.
Powerful as the Tianhai Zhang family may be, they do not possess absolute control. If this news spread, they would find it impossible to justify their actions to the Warriors Alliance.
The Warriors Alliance might not be perfectly united, but they still have a reputation to uphold.
By making their presence known in this way, the Zhang family would be forced to restrain themselves.
"Cousin, since when did you become a streamer?" Wang Qianqian asked, unable to contain her curiosity.
Wang Zhiting gestured for her to stay quiet and continued her broadcast, "We are about to disembark. Let’s head in to see the sights and maybe track down some wild beasts."
Shortly after, the yacht pulled toward the coast, and the group utilized lightness techniques to leap onto the shore.
"Oh? Why is there no signal on this island?" Wang Zhiting cried out in feigned shock the moment they landed.
Su Mengqing chimed in smoothly, "That happens in certain remote areas."
"I have to inform my viewers," Wang Zhiting said. She hopped back onto the vessel and spoke into her communicator, "Regrettably, this island has no wireless signal. I’ll have to record our journey and upload it for you all once we find a connection."
She spent a few more moments comforting her fans before returning to the island. However, the virtual camera remained on, capturing every detail of their surroundings.
Once on land, they crossed ten meters of sandy beach before entering the thick woods. Upon entering, they encountered a group of people waiting, led by a tall, dark-skinned, muscular man.
"Are you friends from the Tianhai Zhang family? I am Su Mengqing of the Jinling Adventurers Association. It is a pleasure to meet you," Su Mengqing said, stepping forward with a formal warrior’s salute.
The burly man ignored her and focused a scowl on Wang Zhiting, demanding, "What are you doing, girl?"
"I'm recording. This island has no signal, and my stream viewers are quite let down. I’m filming this to show them later when we find a signal," Wang Zhiting explained with an innocent look. "Uncle, you don't mind being on camera, do you?"
"Fine, just make sure to edit it later," the man grunted. "Have you been streaming this whole time?"
"Yes, for several days now. I only stopped just now when we landed and the signal died," Wang Zhiting answered.
"You must be from the three great families of Jinling. You are warriors. Why occupy yourselves with live streaming like commoners?" the man asked with a frown, clearly displeased that warriors would lower their status so much.
Su Mengqing replied with an apologetic smile, "It is merely a hobby for the young lady. Please do not take offense."
The dark-skinned man nodded and introduced himself, "I am Zhang Hong of the Tianhai Zhang family. I am here to gather resources. What is your purpose?"
"We have also come to collect materials," Su Mengqing said.
"I see. I heard the brilliant scientist Yan Fangfei has been in the Su family's employ. It makes sense for you to be here, but where is Yan Fangfei herself?" Zhang Hong questioned.
Based on his intelligence, Yan Fangfei and Su Mengqing’s four teammates had all been on the ship. The current headcount did not match his reports.
"A sudden crisis occurred at Sister Yan’s lab, so I sent my four teammates to escort her back first," Su Mengqing clarified. "It seems you are very well-informed about our affairs, sir."
"Naturally. She is a genius scientist; it is only logical for us to keep an eye on her movements," Zhang Hong replied with a chuckle.
He then probed further, "The seas have been dangerous lately with increased pirate activity. Did you run into any on your journey?"
"You must be joking, sir. If we had met pirates, would we have arrived here at all?" Su Mengqing laughed.
Zhang Hong spotted a flicker of unease on one of the girls' faces and immediately asked, "That little girl there... Did you run into pirates?"
"No, not at all," Wang Shanshan said, looking puzzled before turning into a picture of excitement. "Uncle, do you know where the pirates are? I’ve never seen one; I really want to see what they look like!"
Anyone familiar with the Wang family would know that while such a comment was typical for Wang Qianqian, it was completely out of character for Wang Shanshan.
The clever girl was clearly using this act to wash away Zhang Hong’s suspicions.
It worked perfectly; hearing Wang Shanshan's words, the lingering doubts in Zhang Hong’s mind vanished instantly.
After all, Wang Shanshan looked so pure and sweet that she seemed utterly incapable of deception.
