Wang Yue openly admits his relationship with Lan Jie to Chen Xi, sparking a moment of intense jealousy and curiosity from his childhood fiancée. The two engage in a provocative debate regarding Wang Yue's physical stamina and his desire for multiple partners, ultimately striking a bet that will determine his future freedom with other women. Although Chen Xi flees the room in embarrassment after a tense physical realization, Wang Yue feels a sense of relief that their long-standing engagement is no longer a source of guilt. As Chen Xi rejoins the other women, Su Jiao-jiao attempts to surprise Wang Yue in the restroom, only to find he has locked the door.

“Brother, stop being so stingy—hurry up and open this door!” Su Jiaojiao shouted while pounding on the wood.

Wang Yue found himself in a difficult spot. While Chen Xi had insisted he keep his eyes away, Su Jiaojiao was adamant that he look.

With his cousin standing just outside, the image of her rounded, partially exposed buttocks flashed through his mind. The mental picture triggered a surge of excitement, resulting in an involuntary ejaculation.

Once he finished, Wang Yue utilized his internal Qi to instantly evaporate all evidence of the mishap. He pulled open the door and looked at Su Jiaojiao, asking, “Is something wrong?”

“Eh?” Su Jiaojiao blinked, her gaze dropping to her cousin’s crotch. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she quickly replied, “It’s nothing. I just wanted to see if Sister Chen Xi had scratched your face up.”

“It isn’t nearly as dramatic as you’re making it out to be,” Wang Yue answered with a faint smile. Secretly, however, he realized this situation was unsustainable. If he lost control at an inappropriate moment in the future, it would be incredibly shameful. A permanent solution was needed soon.

“What took you so long to come out?” Su Xiu inquired.

Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, Wang Yue spoke up: “I’ve been thinking inside, and I’ve realized that keeping things hidden isn’t the right path. Therefore, I’m announcing to everyone right now that I am officially going to pursue Sister Chu Mo!”

“What?” Stunned by the declaration, Chu Mo shot a nervous glance at Chen Xi. She only felt a sense of relief when she saw that Chen Xi didn't appear angry at all.

“Cousin, you’re a real man!” Su Jiaojiao slapped Wang Yue’s shoulder with an approving grin.

Su Jin turned her attention to Chen Xi. “Xiao Xi, does this bother you?”

With a calm smile, Chen Xi replied, “If he has the skill to win Sister Chu Mo’s heart, and if she doesn't mind the lack of an official status, then I certainly won't object.”

“Xiao Xi, sister…” Chu Mo murmured, deeply touched by the sentiment.

Su Xiu’er let out a giggle. “Wait, has Xiao Yue even started his pursuit yet? Why are you already sounding so grateful, Sister Chu Mo?”

Chu Mo’s cheeks instantly flushed a deep crimson. “That’s not it at all!”

The atmosphere grew even more vibrant once Chen Xi joined the group. They remained at the arcade until nightfall, eventually parting ways to return to their respective homes.

During their time together, Chen Xi had invited Chu Mo to join her team. Feeling thankful, Chu Mo went out of her way to be friendly. By the time evening arrived, the two had formed a surprisingly solid bond, leaving Su Jin’er, Su Xiu’er, and Wang Yue quite amazed.

Every flower has its own season to bloom.

Chu Mo declined Wang Yue’s offer to drive her home. Instead, she had him leave her at the gym so she could drive her own vehicle back to the Chu family estate.

Unlike the three prominent families of Jinling who resided in the outskirts, the Chu family occupied several massive, interconnected villas within a high-end residential district near the heart of the city.

Chu Mo and her mother shared the smallest of these luxury villas.

As soon as she parked and stepped inside, a soft, melodic voice greeted her. “Mo Mo, you’ve returned.”

The woman speaking was breathtakingly beautiful, possessing an elegant and refined air. She wore simple loungewear, yet the fabric could not conceal her curvaceous figure and full chest.

This was Xu Yanran, Chu Mo’s mother. To a casual observer, she looked perfectly healthy, making it hard to believe she suffered from an extremely frail constitution.

Furthermore, even though she was unable to practice Cultivation, she maintained a physical form as pristine as a peak martial artist.

Because of her condition, the Chu family had once sought out the renowned physician Miao Qingluan. After an examination, the doctor concluded that Xu Yanran possessed the “Nine Yin Blocked Veins.” This meant her Meridians were closed to martial arts, leaving her perpetually weak.

To heal her, Miao Qingluan had proposed a near-impossible cure: the use of a pure-yin Cultivation technique, which had to be at least of the lower tier of the Heavenly Rank.

Heavenly Rank techniques were treasures guarded by the most elite Sects; finding a specific pure-yin one was virtually impossible. Thus, the medical advice was essentially a death sentence for her martial path.

“Mom,” Chu Mo said, rushing to support her mother’s arm.

While Xu Yanran wasn't so feeble that she couldn't walk, Chu Mo always showed her filial piety through these small gestures.

“Mo Mo, you look very happy today,” Xu Yanran noted. Ever since the wedding date had been finalized, Chu Mo had been shrouded in a constant cloud of gloom, but today she seemed transformed.

Chu Mo beamed. “I am, because I’ve decided I won’t follow the family’s orders. I’m not going to marry that useless Young Master of the Zhang family.”

“My daughter, I’ve been waiting for you to say that. You have my full support!” Xu Yanran encouraged her, though her expression soon clouded with worry. “But your father and the Elders… perhaps I should return to the Xu family and beg your grandfather and uncles for assistance.”

“Absolutely not. They’ve already disowned you; going there would only result in humiliation,” Chu Mo insisted. “Besides, we don’t need outside help. The three major families have already resolved to move against the Zhang family.”

“You mean the Chen, Wang, and Su families?” Xu Yanran asked, her eyes widening in shock.

“Who else in Jinling holds that title?” Chu Mo laughed. “So, you can finally stop worrying, okay?”

Xu Yanran hesitated. “But why would they target the Zhangs? Is it because of Jin Er, Xiu Er, and the others? If they are doing this just for us, we must be careful. We can’t allow them to face danger on our behalf.”
