Though Su Jin’er possessed a naturally reserved and gentle temperament, she frequently revealed a more spirited side when relaxing with her inner circle. Chiming in to support her sister’s line of thought, she remarked, "It really would be wonderful if you and Xiao Yue could be together."
"What on earth are you two suggesting? Young Master Wang is already spoken for," Chu Mo replied, her cheeks flushing a deep crimson this time.
"Oh?" Su Xiu’er blurted out, her eyes widening in astonishment. "Based on that reaction, does it mean you would actually think about it if Xiao Yue weren't engaged?"
"And what if I did?" Chu Mo confessed with surprising candor. "Wang Yue is striking, possesses a solid character, and is a literal martial arts genius. A man like that is a rare find, no matter how hard you search. I am only human; having such feelings isn't exactly strange."
"If those are your feelings, you should take the lead, shouldn't you?" Su Xiu’er suggested with a playful grin. "At the very least, a formal title isn't strictly necessary. It beats being trapped in a miserable marriage with the Zhang family. Besides, if you establish a bond with the Wang family—even without a formal status—I doubt the Chu family would raise any objections."
Chu Mo had intended her earlier comments as a mere jest, but Su Xiu’er’s logic caused a genuine spark of interest to flicker in her heart.
Still, she wasn't about to admit to such a thing so easily. Letting out a quick laugh, she countered, "Fine, provided you all come along with me. Then I’ll be your sister for life."
"W-what do you mean by 'come along'?" Su Jin’er stammered, her own face beginning to redden.
"I mean joining me in following Wang Yue," Chu Mo answered, smiling. "The three of you are such stunning young women. Rather than wasting such beauty or eventually being given away to some stranger, wouldn't it be better to stay with your cousin?"
"Stop talking nonsense! He is our blood cousin!" Su Xiu’er snapped back playfully.
The trio dissolved into a fit of giggles and lighthearted teasing.
They assumed they were at a safe distance from Wang Yue and speaking softly enough that their suggestive humor would remain private.
They were entirely unaware that with Wang Yue’s current Cultivation, he could hear every syllable perfectly, even if they had whispered at half that volume.
As he listened to their banter, the fire of desire already burning within Wang Yue flared up even more intensely.
Recognizing that he wouldn't be able to settle his agitated state through normal meditation in such a short window, Wang Yue simply pinned his member between his thighs and applied gentle friction. He reached a quick release and immediately circulated his internal energy to cleanse his body.
He had always known women could find relief in such a manner, but he hadn't expected to resort to it himself today. A self-deprecating smile touched his lips—perhaps this was simply the price of being too experienced in such matters.
After their bout of laughter subsided, the three women finally strolled back to Wang Yue’s side.
Chu Mo inquired, "Wang Yue, you’ve been observing us for a while now. What is your professional opinion on the routines we developed?"
"To be honest, fitness isn't really my area of expertise, and these movements are tailored specifically for the female physique. Sister Chu, I’m afraid I can't offer any useful feedback," Wang Yue admitted sincerely.
Paradoxically, his honesty only heightened Chu Mo’s opinion of him. Most men would boast or pretend to be experts to impress beautiful women, yet Wang Yue spoke his truth without any fear of looking foolish. To her, this was a clear sign of his integrity.
It was already mid-afternoon by the time the Su sisters had reached their aunt’s place. Between their practice session with Wang Yue and the various tasks at the gym, evening was fast approaching.
Checking the time on her communication device, Su Xiu’er noted, "We should grab a bite together before we have to head back."
"Agreed," Chu Mo said. A mischievous glint danced in her lovely eyes as she turned to Wang Yue. "Wang Yue, you should try to stay close to your two aunts whenever you leave the house from now on."
"And why is that?" Wang Yue asked, puzzled.
Chu Mo smirked. "Because they always have mantou with them. If you ever find yourself hungry with nowhere to eat, you can just enjoy their mantou."
"Sister Chu, how did you know I prefer mantou over rice?" Wang Yue asked with total innocence. He then turned to his aunts. "But Sister Jin’er, Sister Xiu’er, why do you carry mantou around all the time?"
At his question, the nearly identical, beautiful faces of Su Jin’er and Su Xiu’er turned a violent shade of crimson.
When Wang Yue spoke of his love for mantou, both sisters involuntarily envisioned a scene of him kneeling between their legs to feast... For two young women who had never known intimacy, the mental image was overwhelming.
"Xiao Yue, ignore her. If we were carrying rations, it would obviously be compressed food," Su Xiu’er corrected him hastily.
Though Chu Mo enjoyed a good joke, she knew the limits and didn't push her teasing any further.
The group changed back into their everyday attire and exited the gym. They settled on a modest restaurant nearby for dinner. Despite their wealthy backgrounds, none of them were prone to vanity or wastefulness.
For them, the quality of the meal was the only thing that mattered; there was no need for the hollow prestige of a luxury establishment.
Once dinner concluded, Chu Mo headed back to the gym. She explained that her time was limited; once she was wed into the Zhang family, her future at the gym was uncertain. She wanted to give her all one last time for the members who had supported her.
Even though Chu Mo maintained a smile, Wang Yue and the sisters could sense the underlying grief and powerlessness in her voice.
"Mo Mo’s situation is truly tragic. Isn't there anything we can do?" Su Xiu’er sighed as they climbed into the vehicle.
Su Jin’er sighed as well, turning to Wang Yue at the wheel. "Xiao Yue, do you have any suggestions?"
"The solution is straightforward. You two should step up and use the Su family’s influence to terminate that wretched engagement," Wang Yue stated firmly.
"Easier said than done," Su Xiu’er huffed. "That would mean making enemies of two families simultaneously."
"What does it matter if they are offended? This is Jinling. The Chen, Su, and Wang families hold the true power here. Since when does the Zhang family get to dictate terms?" Wang Yue’s voice was full of conviction.
He had initially planned to remain low-key to protect his secrets while building his foundations. However, within the confines of Jinling, there was no reason to hide. In fact, asserting his dominance was more beneficial to his long-term goals.
The sisters were momentarily stirred by his displays of masculinity, yet they remained cautious. "It’s not that simple. The Zhang family possesses significant martial strength, and the Chu family isn't weak either. Crossing both at once..."
Their concerns were valid. The Zhang family was a top-tier martial power in Jinling, sitting just below the three great clans. While the Chu family was smaller, they were still a force to be reckoned with.
Wang Yue countered, "Sisters, you must realize that in the martial world, might makes right. The three major families dominate Jinling not because of diplomacy, but because of our superior strength. The Zhang family has become increasingly arrogant over the last three years. Even without Sister Chu’s plight, we shouldn't allow them to continue their overbearing behavior."
He remembered that three years into the future in his previous life, the Zhang family had acted shamefully during the beast tide. They had refused to help with the defense and instead conspired with outsiders from Tianhai to undermine the major families.
It had been a minor detail in the grand scheme of his past life, but the memory was now crystal clear.
"You have a point," Su Jin’er nodded, then looked at him with a curious tilt of her head. "But how do you know so much about these dynamics?"
Wang Yue froze for a second, remembering he was supposed to be playing the part of an sheltered youth. He laughed it off. "My grandmother mentioned it. She wants to groom me to lead the Wang family one day, so she insisted I study the local power structure."
The sisters accepted this immediately. It made sense; their cousin was far too naive to have figured out such political complexities on his own.
As they spoke, Wang Yue pulled into the Adventurers Association. He intended to retrieve the sisters' cars from the underground lot, but Su Xiu’er stopped him.
"Xiao Yue, why don't you just drive us to the Su manor? We need to talk this over with my mother, and you can represent the Wang family’s stance."
Su Jin’er added, "She’s right. It’s been far too long since you visited the Su family anyway. Everyone has missed you."
Since his schedule was clear and he hadn't seen his relatives in some time, Wang Yue readily agreed. "Alright."
With a turn of the wheel, he steered the hovercar away from the Association and set a course for the Su family estate on the western side of the city.
