Titan King: Ascension of the Giant Chapter 1411 Titan's Lineage

Previously on Titan King: Ascension of the Giant...
Dirtclaw and Gustalon, veteran Wardens of Blackstone City, shared frustrations over their Insectoid purge duties amid the looming Great Shift, where the world's mana surged and war loomed from an invading realm. Their conversation was interrupted by the triumphant return of the Stoneheart Horde's old guard—Onyx, Rendall, Earthshaker, Thundar, Dace, and Ursa—emerging from the underground teleportation array, ready to rejoin the fight and pursue ascension to the Stoneheart Titan lineage. Embracing their comrades, they planned a joint patrol to hunt lingering threats with their formidable mounts, igniting Blackstone City's revival with rowdy energy. As word spread, Orion and Lilith relocated the royal household there, sparking frenzied preparations for a grand bonfire feast honoring the veterans, drawing clansmen from across the Horde to the unyielding black walls of their ancestral root.

A true marvel unfolded.

Within mere days, word of the bonfire festival in Blackstone City spread rapidly across the whole Stoneheart Horde, igniting excitement everywhere.

The rush to participate grew so immense that, following Lilith's idea, Orion ordered the creation of a public teleportation array linking Blackstone City straight to Stoneheart City.

All at once, the elite and influential flocked to the icy northern lands.

"This spot... it exceeds my wildest expectations in prosperity."

Grand Magus Rhazuun and the bard Cloudsong emerged side by side from the glowing portal. Rhazuun sensed the city's imposing presence without needing any detection spell; its majesty and energy bore down on his awareness.

"Here lies the genuine pulse of the Stoneheart Horde," Cloudsong noted with a sweeping gesture. "Notice those spires atop the walls? The majority serve as arcane devices."

Through a bard's gaze, distinctive buildings often signaled advanced magical tech. The abundance of enchanted ballistae defending Blackstone City highlighted its crucial defensive role.

"This location..."

In contrast to Cloudsong, Grand Magus Rhazuun ignored the structures. His eyes fixed beyond the outer barriers, on the central stronghold, as his pulse raced wildly in his chest.

"You're spot on. This forms the nucleus," Rhazuun murmured, his tone strained. "Yet the peril... I believe only a Demigod could stroll here without fear."

Rhazuun felt no doubt. The aura that had grazed his mind wasn't from the Giant King.

Put differently, concealed far inside Blackstone City lurked a being that could endanger an Archlord—something timeless and observant.

Cloudsong eyed Rhazuun. He picked up on his companion's discomfort right away but chose not to probe further. Their purpose was the festival, savoring the regional customs, not digging into confidential matters.

"Follow me, old friend. Word is, The Seekers maintain a outpost here. For the festival's sake, they're hosting an auction this evening." Cloudsong led the way into the outer quarters.

"Your Order forged an alliance with the Stoneheart Horde. That's worth toasting," the bard went on, steering conversation to practical affairs. "Won't you consider broadening your arcane offerings in this place?"

"Observe your surroundings. Eternal crystal lights, shape-shifting elixirs, worker golems, recollection spheres, restorative elixirs... such items could fetch huge sums here."

Cloudsong grinned, acting as an advisor. "Magic's expansion doesn't always start with ancient books and archives. Allow everyday people to experience the ease of enchanted creations. They'll embrace you more swiftly and warmly."

Cloudsong possessed foresight. He wouldn't share such in-depth advice unless Rhazuun was a trusted ally. Naturally, it benefited him too; as a wanderer, he found a world lacking in magic quite troublesome. His equipment demanded upkeep and mana infusions best handled by an established group.

"Such ventures will launch after the Order of the Dandelion sets up its local chapter," Rhazuun answered, trailing Cloudsong amid the crowded avenues. "This territory remains pure. Arcane society will thrive within it."

He scanned the giants and diverse folk around, many bare-chested despite the chill, radiating a primal, fierce energy.

"Have you observed it?" Cloudsong inquired abruptly, lowering his voice. "The delight in their expressions... it seems unusual."

"Unusual in what way?"

"It seems like they're awaiting a revelation much bigger than just a bonfire gathering."

As an Archlord-tier being, Rhazuun picked up on these nuances easily. The crowds' grins concealed an intensity beyond a basic festivity.

"The explanation is straightforward," Cloudsong declared, pivoting to him with a clever, informed smirk. Bards excelled at catching rumors. He held the hidden truth.

"All are aware the Giant King originates from the northern Giant kin. Yet Giants possess distinct bloodlines."

"Stoneheart, Ironbone, Starveil, Shadowabyss. Four major clans. Our ruler, Orion, descends from the Stoneheart branch."

Cloudsong stamped his foot on the stone path, then gestured at the enormous Horde Hall looming over the central area.

"Blackstone City stands as the birthplace of Stoneheart Giants in this realm. It serves as their heritage site. Now grasp its importance?"

Rhazuun inclined his head gradually. The Order of the Dandelion archived vast details on ethnic backgrounds. Such lore was mandatory study. He understood the Giant variants, but his insight into this particular Horde stayed theoretical.

"Still," Cloudsong's voice turned grave and hushed. "That's not the key issue. Do you realize why I decided to stay on here?"

"Friend, only a handful grasp this, but the Giant folk lately produced a fresh bloodline."

"Or put another way... they transformed. They rose to a superior form of being."

Cloudsong drew closer. "They're known as Stoneheart Titans. And this Horde marks the origin of that heritage."

Titans.

A mystery guarded by top leaders and expert groups alone.

"Rhazuun," Cloudsong uttered gently. "The Stoneheart Horde merits every bit of funding you might invest."

Certain matters required no elaboration.

After revealing this stunning revelation, Cloudsong spun around and sauntered along the lane, whistling a melody, abandoning the Grand Magus rooted in the thoroughfare.

The birth of a novel ethnic offshoot?

The Stoneheart Horde?

Titans?

Rhazuun's face morphed from stunned vacancy to incredulity, then to frenzied delight, and at last to pressing urgency. He refrained from pursuing Cloudsong. Rather, he whirled about, seeking a secluded nook. He had to reach the Order without delay. This altered all plans.

Shortly after Rhazuun and Cloudsong, a different party stepped from the teleportation array.

"Wow! Is this Blackstone City?"

"It's nothing like Stoneheart City!"

The voice bubbling with awe belonged to Lola, Twelfth Princess of the Sea-Drake lineage. Confined to ocean depths her whole life, a frosty northern bastion like Blackstone felt utterly foreign.

"It surely varies from the southern regions," a youthful lad's tone concurred.

Next to Lola stood Kronos, presently shaped as a human boy.

He along with his mother Ava had reached Stoneheart City moments earlier, catching wind of the festival. Pure chance brought the teleportation route online right then. Even better, a succubus servant awaited at the entrance, clutching a special invite.

Lilith had planned it all. She aimed to honor Kronos and his mother properly.

Thus, Kronos and Ava got rushed to Blackstone City. Ava was guided promptly to the fortress's exclusive portal, bound directly for the Horde Hall.

Kronos, though, lingered to act as escort for Princess Lola.

"In what way differently?" Lola queried, flashing him a smile.

Truth be told, viewing Kronos in this tiny, boyish guise remained bizarre to her. Without their shared tales from before, she wouldn't have trusted this child was her old companion.
