Titan King: Ascension of the Giant Chapter 1406 Three Archetypes

Previously on Titan King: Ascension of the Giant...
Delilah pushed her limits in the Foundry Citadel, devouring a hoard of Banshee Crystals to forge her path toward Archlord rank, her chants echoing through the sulfur-choked halls as she sought the strength to stand as Orion's true ally. Xalathar and Vex observed from afar, debating her intense training and their own stalled ascensions, with the dragon ultimately taking to the skies for a territorial patrol. In the Ashenheart Domain, Orion and his fellow Demigods awoke to the Deputy Commander's revelation of the refined Platinum Tri-Drake Effigy, a powerful secret technique born from the captured Rite of the Three Idols, complete with hidden safeguards against betrayal.

Notably, even though it bore that title, the Platinum Tri-Drake Effigy failed to summon a beast with three heads.

Rather, this method adjusted itself to the practitioner's heritage, providing three unique prototype shapes: Man, Spirit, or Divinity.

For example, should Orion or his relatives employ the method, they would summon the "Man" prototype—a figure of epic stature. Should Arthas and his death knights deploy it, they would call forth the "Spirit" prototype, enveloped in ghostly power. The "Divinity" prototype, however, stayed exclusive to entities made from sheer elemental might or sacred substance.

While the shapes varied, the serpentine drake strength surging inside stayed unchanging.

"This is brilliant," Alexander commented, his killer's gaze sparkling as he unfurled the parchment. "The Platinum Tri-Drake Effigy isn't just for Lords; it fits Archlords perfectly too. An Archlord might combine this creation with their personal avatar for an ideal fake. They could fool a foe into thinking their Body of Faith got wiped out, luring them into a deadly stretch. It brings an entirely fresh level of trickery."

As Blade Hall's Hall Master, Alexander quickly spotted the strategic worth. His followers depended on accuracy and diversion; this hidden method would vastly boost their kill mission hits and endurance.

"It's a bonus ace up the sleeve, nothing more," Leonidas rumbled, giving a nod of consent. "This boosts the battle baseline for the whole Champions Alliance."

Everyone else concurred. Armed with this method, the Stoneheart Horde's Legend-rank fighters would gain a backup strong enough to match an Archlord's blow. It marked a huge jump in warfare strength.

"On top of that, the Platinum Authority's setup has kicked off for real," the Deputy Commander declared, changing the subject. "Shift your needed supplies and people to the Valkorath Realm right away. The main base goes up in the heart area, with me overseeing it for now."

He stopped, allowing his following statement's gravity to sink in. "After the base is set, the Commander himself will guide our initial joint mission. We require a conflict to stock the Authority's funds."

The chamber's vibe switched right away from focused to charged.

Orion, Arthas, Leonidas, and Alexander shared looks, a hunter's thrill flowing among them. By "the Commander," the Deputy Commander meant the top avatar on Blade's Edge Peak. And if the Commander greenlit a raid to swell the Authority's battle reserves, the mark promised to be big.

"Hah! Deputy Commander," Leonidas thundered, bending ahead. "Mind dropping a clue? Which doomed realm are we hitting?"

"Truthfully, I have no idea," the Deputy Commander answered, shaking his head. "But with the Commander at the front, you can count on it being a realm loaded with riches. Gear up. At the moment, you'll have to send out a Demigod illusion to take part in the raid."

He eyed Arthas pointedly. The ruler of the undead had more on his plate than most, yet this call couldn't be skipped.

"I will be ready," Arthas croaked.

Titanion Realm, The Golden Pearl.

Overhead, the heavens gleamed with a sharp, unclouded blue spanning a vast sea of golden dunes. Who could guess that under these blazing sands hid a vast, splendid buried fortress?

"Rise."

Soraya occupied her seat of power, exuding a royal, natural poise. In front of her bowed more than twenty Sand Scorpions—fighters and clerics both—all shaped like humans.

Back then, a scene like this would've been unthinkable. At the Scorpion Tribe's height, just Soraya, the High Priestess, and maybe a couple more could shift to human guise. Yet today, as the realm's laws evolved and goods poured in from the Stoneheart Horde, gifts were flourishing over the wastes.

Soraya and High Priestess Selenis gazed at their followers with deep satisfaction. Each fresh human-shaped scorpion signaled a boost to their lineage and a rise in their sway inside the Horde.

"My Queen," High Priestess Selenis advanced, her gaze glowing with awe. "Odd gems have shown up near the Sand Nest. Could these be the fabled Divinity Shards from our old scrolls?"

"They truly are Divinity Shards," Soraya affirmed, her face still pensive. "However, they're not fully grown. Just early stages."

Divinity Shards emerging signaled a huge sign—it hinted the Scorpion Tribe neared spawning a Demigod. It ought to spark joy. Still, Soraya sensed a spark of bewilderment. As Queen, she hadn't hit Archlord level. Why would the Sand Nest produce Demigod-level goods?

The sole reason lay in the fragment of Desert's Authority she held. It sped up the terrain's growth. These shards didn't limit to the Golden Pearl; they popped up all over her Sea of Sand, refining daily.

Right as she mulled the effects, Orion's words rang in her thoughts.

"High Priestess," Soraya rose suddenly. "I entrust the nest to you. Guard the juveniles closely. Alert me to any oddities at once."

Skipping any reply, she ripped a transport scroll apart and disappeared from the hall.

Stoneheart City, The Citadel.

As Soraya appeared in the council room, Orion and Lilith stood ready. Orion waved to a seat next to his throne.

"I summoned you two for three purposes," Orion started, his voice grave.

Lilith and Soraya bent closer. A straight call from their lord often signaled big shifts ahead.

"First," Orion stated, "we're lifting the limits on those bulk-made shape-shifting arms. Unlock the vaults for the full Tribe. Instruct Harbek to rev the Bureau of Weapons to max. Get those smithies blazing nonstop."

He went on, "Plus, set up a fresh reward setup just for wiping out the bug menace. Simplify how folks gain points and trade them for these arms."

With the assault from that foreign realm nearing in under ten years, Orion pushed hard against time. Boosting his subjects' standard fighting strength was key, and the enchanted guns and morphing gear he'd fetched from the Godforsaken Land offered the quickest path.

Lilith inclined her head, jotting the directives on a sheet.

"Second," Orion announced, snapping his fingers. A pair of gold parchments appeared, drifting to the ladies. "This counts as a Divine Art: the Rite of Fatebound Offering. It's a method to craft a blade tied spiritually to its user."

His stare fixed on them. "I plan to turn this into the Stoneheart Titans' hallmark skill."

"Roll this method out across the Tribe without delay," Orion ordered. "The inter-world gate setup's almost finished. Once the portals swing wide, the Stoneheart Horde must unleash a force of real Titans, geared and set."

Orion held the height of might; he skipped nitpicking the rollout. He just charted the course.

"Got it," Lilith replied, taking the parchment. "I'll bring back the Elder to help. We'll make it happen."

She halted, eyeing the gold parchment with a touch of yearning. "Orion... can we study this too?"
