The A.I. Chip integrated into Cain’s mind was a standard model. Such devices are implanted into every child during infancy. While they are highly functional for daily tasks, their processing power is relatively mediocre.
Cain merely shook his head upon hearing the A.I. Chip’s advice. With barely enough funds to cover his food and rent, the hospital’s advanced facilities—which could mend his body in mere minutes—were a luxury he simply could not afford.
The youth walked over to a storage unit and retrieved a container labeled ‘Soldier Drugs.’ After swallowing two pills, his pained expression softened as he felt the agony begin to fade.
‘Father’s Soldier Drugs are truly remarkable. Since these meds are designed for Wave Warriors and I haven't even reached Level 1 yet, it's natural they have such a potent effect on me.’
Cain let out a sigh as he contemplated his mediocre talent, yet he refused to let such dark thoughts linger. Since he was restricted by his recovery, he searched the house for a distraction until his gaze settled on a small shelf of books.
Only three volumes occupied the shelf, yet each was kept in flawless condition. Even though the A.I. Chip had converted the data into digital format long ago, Cain found the tactile experience of reading physical books to be quite soothing.
The three titles were History of Godslayer Humankind, Introduction to Wave Cultivation, and the Soldier Military Manual. These had been acquired by Cain’s father during his service in the Imperial Military Force; though not strictly priceless, they were treasures a commoner would struggle to obtain.
Cain picked up the first volume, History of Godslayer Humankind, and began flipping through the pages with a look of genuine excitement.

Over ten millennia ago, humanity resided on a small, blue planet. This world was the cradle of the human race, providing every necessity for hundreds of thousands of years. Its true name has been intentionally erased by time, known now only as the Old World.
Tragically, the Old World was poisoned and rendered sterile by the unchecked greed and recklessness of humanity.
As the planet faced its demise, many of the world's greatest intellectuals sought survival among the stars, hoping to find a new home far from their ancestral birthplace.
However, one individual—a man of absolute genius—did not look toward the heavens for salvation. Instead, he dedicated his brilliance to a far more audacious objective. Through his unparalleled intellect, he tore open a gateway into another dimension.
Humankind's rulers were initially jubilant at this breakthrough. Unlike the journey to the stars, which offered survival to only a select few, this new dimension appeared far more accessible to the masses.
Unfortunately, that joy was short-lived.
A vanguard of scientists and soldiers was dispatched through the portal. Their objective was to survey the new realm and determine the difficulty of terraforming it to establish the first human colony.
Less than thirty minutes after the expedition entered the gateway, a terrifying beast attacked, slaughtering the entire team.
The situation spiraled into a nightmare when the creature crossed back through the portal, unleashing devastation upon the Old World. It took thousands of lives before the military finally succeeded in slaying the beast.
In less than twenty-four hours, human leaders ordered the portal sealed and all related research destroyed to prevent another such disaster.
As for the genius who had opened the door, his reputation shifted from savior to criminal. While some leaders demanded his imprisonment, others called for even more severe punishments.
Yet, that great man would not abandon his vision. In that monstrous creature that could challenge entire battalions, he saw more than just a means of survival; he saw a path to transcendence.
Before the politicians could exploit him as a scapegoat for their own agendas, he vanished through the portal into the unknown dimension.
Most assumed the man had lost his mind, and believing survival in such a place was impossible, the world eventually forgot him.
A decade later, as the Old World entered a final, desperate era and society teetered on the brink of collapse, the genius made his return.
He had not only survived ten years among those monsters but had also unlocked supernatural powers. He possessed the ability to fly, could crush armored tanks with his bare hands, and could withstand direct bomb blasts without taking a single scratch.
He revealed to the inhabitants of the Old World that a force called Wave permeated the new dimension. This miraculous power would grant humanity the ability to grow stronger and significantly extend their lives.
While the new dimension was perilous, it was also a paradise. Humans might be prone to fear, but if any trait truly defined the race, it was greed.
A new frontier where one could attain godlike strength and the promise of immortality was irresistible. The public quickly flocked to the genius, but complications soon arose.
The rulers of humanity recognized the threat this dimension posed. How could they maintain authority over individuals with the power to wipe out their armies? They implemented draconian regulations, ensuring that only their loyalists would be the first to reap the rewards of the new world.
These self-serving actions were detrimental to humanity as a whole, but the politicians did not care as long as they remained in power.
They failed to realize, however, how much the genius had evolved during his exile. When he witnessed the schemes of these leaders, he struck with ruthless efficiency.
In less than a week, thousands were purged, and the whole of humanity was brought under his thumb.
Through that bloodbath, the man was reborn as the Emperor of Humankind.
