The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2423 The final battle above the blood ocean

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain purified and fused the Ancestor Drops into his body, then enhanced his form while deploying golden orbs as contingencies across the Ocean of the Blood Sun. Weeks passed without sign of the Kalous Kingdom's leaders, heightening his unease, until a colossal white fortress arrived, bearing three figures: Mirena, Kriz, and the imposing King Eonar of Aztorus. Eonar revealed the Kalous forces' retreat and mercenary reinforcements, proposing an alliance to lure and annihilate them within the blood ocean's advantageous domain, offering tens of thousands of unconscious Blutlinie as compensation for the inevitable destruction. The blood avatar accepted, and the bodies plunged into the crimson depths, sealing the pact.

Once the alliance was firmly in place, the enormous airborne citadel of the Aztorus Kingdom lowered itself and settled right over the heart of the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

As soon as it steadied, Cain sensed it vividly—the citadel started harnessing the power from his vast oceanic form, pulling in the endless life essence and blood essence below to fuel its myriad arrays, inscriptions, and armament systems.

The consumption was immense.

Yet Cain remained unconcerned.

The Ocean of the Blood Sun held far more power than the citadel could possibly deplete, while Cain's focus shifted to other matters. His main concern was extracting and refining the Ancestor Drops from the numerous Blutlinie that the Aztorus King had dispatched into the ocean as an offering just moments earlier.

Soul by soul, they were torn away and gathered into shimmering golden spheres that scattered throughout the Ocean of the Blood Sun, concealed from

all eyes.

Regarding their Ancestor Drops, these were refined to the utmost level Cain could manage before being integrated into the expanding drop inside his fresh form.

Upon finishing the procedure, bursts of ecstasy flooded Cain's soul.

"It's already bigger than a typical Early Alpha-Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie's," he evaluated with composure. "And its purity... vastly superior."

The feat was breathtaking.

Even Paradise's most brilliant prodigies would view such an outcome as wondrous. Still, Cain felt no contentment.

He craved additional gains.

And he understood precisely the method to acquire them.

"All that's left for me now," Cain whispered, "is the outbreak of this war's climactic clash."

As though replying to his musings, a presence entered his awareness. The Scarlet King turned his attention to the distant skyline, where reality warped under the weight of an incoming force.

"Perfect timing." Excitement raced through him as he detected the exceptional quality of this faction's Ancestor Drops.

Not just Cain noticed it.

Eonar swiftly departed the citadel, ascending to the uppermost reaches of the heavens over the Ocean of the Blood Sun. His gaze gleamed with keen eagerness as he stared at the incoming troops. A broad grin stretched over his features—one brimming with murderous resolve and warrior's fervor.

"At last," he uttered icily. "You show yourself, Lortar."

The Kalous King, Lortar, looked like an elder upon initial view—but frailty was absent in him. His hulking build emanated raw might, with sinews swelling under the scaly covering on his limbs and torso. Flowing white locks trailed in his wake, and the atmosphere near him burst into flames merely from his aura's intensity.

Trailing him came a gigantic host.

Cain's vision scanned the field of conflict in a flash.

Nine Alpha-Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie positioned themselves behind Lortar. Among those nine, just five carried the lineage of the Kalous Kingdom.

Cain's gaze sharpened.

"Those other four are hired blades," he determined. "The cost Lortar shelled out to lure them into this conflict... staggering."

A spark of delight rippled in Cain's soul upon feeling the Kalous King's murderous aura—and lurking underneath, a sense of despair.

This went beyond revenge for a slain heir.

This stemmed from terror.

Terror of reprisal from the Dark Blood Kingdom.

As the Kalous Kingdom's troops neared the edge of the blood sea, eight Alpha-Omega Overgod Royal Blutlinie stepped out from the Aztorus Kingdom's citadel. They arrayed themselves next to Eonar, trailed by myriads of Prima Deity and ArchDeity Blutlinie.

Suddenly, three forms ascended from the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

Hades.

Satan.

Morningstar.

They integrated into the Aztorus Kingdom's forces, their arrival shifting

the scales overwhelmingly.

Twelve Alpha-Omega Overgods.

Two beyond what the Kalous Kingdom mustered.

Eonar's grin broadened while he noted the edge in numbers, his

eyes fixing on Lortar.

"Approach me, Lortar," he declared, his words echoing over the fray. "Your end has

arrived at last."

Lortar offered no reply.

Rather, he released his might.

His aura burst forth, blending with the Royal Blutlinie

beside him and coursing through the vast ranks trailing him. Darkness cloaked the heavens as the Kalous Kingdom's warriors breached the shoreline and ascended over the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

In that moment, innumerable rays of solidified blood power shot up from

the sea, their force targeted solely at the Royal Blutlinie while sparing the inferior soldiers entirely.

Lortar's brow furrowed.

Such strikes held little danger for him, yet they disrupted—able to sway the battle's rhythm.

Of course, the Kalous Kingdom refused to merely withstand them.

Titanic counterstrikes launched back, their power slamming into the blood sea and vaporizing huge swaths of it. Scarlet vapors billowed upward as immense quantities of blood were

obliterated.

Eonar stayed motionless.

Should the foes choose to squander their strength eradicating the sea, so much

the better.

Concerning the harm to the Ocean of the Blood Sun, he felt indifference.

After this fight concluded, the sea would cease to be. The Kalous Kingdom and its lands would fall under his control, and he would permit no aware ocean near his frontiers.

Each assault from the Kalous Kingdom struck like a dagger into Cain's

body.

Still, Cain held firm.

He artfully directed the engagement, making sure his Royal Guards

stayed matched against the foe's Royal Blutlinie, quietly drawing the strife further into the sea's core.

At length, the Kalous King and his vanguard arrived at the Ocean

of the Blood Sun's midpoint.

They stood moments away from clashing with their Aztorus counterparts.

Eonar lifted his arm.

The towering citadel at his back ignited in dazzling brilliance as its

batteries—each potent enough to slay an Alpha-Omega Overgod—started

to power up.

However, Lortar acted sooner.

He parted his jaws and spat out two metal cubes.

The very next second, the cubes ballooned into colossal mechanisms,

each adorned with myriad etched runes pulsing with timeless energy.

Before the Aztorus citadel could unleash its volley, the cubes fired their

own blasts.

The barrages hammered the citadel with irresistible might, devouring huge portions of it immediately.
