The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2397 Rising an army in a new universe

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain, the Scarlet King, deepened his mastery of The Flow over months, refining his Primordial Essence until it reached the limits of the Arch-Deity Rank and allowing him to move freely within the endless current. Eager to return to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, he followed the downward stream but found himself unable to ascend against its overwhelming force, trapping him in this unfamiliar realm. Calming his frustration, Cain recognized the need for greater strength to break free, prompting him to seek a suitable vessel for his essence. He dismissed possessing the city's inhabitants due to their limitations and risks, instead turning toward a vast ocean of blood spanning a tenth of an Empyrean World, envisioning it as his new body.

Having chosen his vessel, the Scarlet King's gaze burned with unyielding resolve as he let his burning desire and intent surge without restraint.

"My goal..." he bellowed, his words resounding across all of reality, "is to return home!"

The glow surrounding his form erupted fiercely while the enormous stream linked to his Primordial Essence started to quiver.

This phase was meant to be incredibly difficult, yet it posed no challenge for Cain. From the instant he merged with The Flow, he had risked everything—staring down near-guaranteed doom—just to reunite with his loved ones and companions.

The fierce resolve and yearning inside the Scarlet King intensified more and more, until—

"RSSSSSRHH!"

Cain wrenched himself away from the infinite stream.

The torment was excruciating. Just seconds earlier, no real boundary had existed between him and The Flow. Pulling apart felt like shredding his entire being. Still, his determination remained rock-solid without a hint of faltering.

The Scarlet King pressed on with all his might, bearing the torment until he shattered the bonds completely.

In that very moment, a colossal power gripped his Primordial Essence and brutally thrust him out of the realm of pure Flow, flinging him toward the material world.

The sky quaked.

The ground shuddered.

And the ocean—above all, the ocean—thundered back in fury.

A boundless golden expanse of energy appeared as Cain's Primordial Essence came down. The Scarlet King swiftly turned his attention to the blood sea beneath him, and being on the same level now, the immense strength hidden inside it stood out plainly.

"I made the right choice."

A grin lit up Cain's features, his gaze sparkling with exhilaration and rush. He plunged straight into the blood sea without delay—not just diving in, but merging with its essence and consciousness, fully embodying the red vastness.

At once, enormous waves and savage blood whirlwinds exploded outward as a divine change started to take shape. A single look revealed this was far from a normal sea.

Titanic universal energies dominated its depths, shaping its framework and core from the inside. To fully create this blood ocean, Cain had to unite entirely with those energies.

Luckily, since uniting with The Flow, Cain's Primordial Essence had already ascended to the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank by itself. More crucially, his command of the Flow hit a divine height, letting his grasp of existence—and the ties linking all life—expand beyond measure. The furious tempest in the ocean grew wilder, impacting every creature living in its midst. Countless tried to escape, their survival senses howling that doom approached. But the tides surged with such dominant might that shores stayed out of reach—even for ArchDeity Rank entities.

And that marked just the start.

As the merging advanced, the strength pouring from the blood ocean kept climbing—and its scale did too. Already immense, its waters spanned a tenth of an Empyrean World. Now, it swelled even larger.

Enormous blood swells crashed upward, rising so tall they

appeared ready to graze the tempestuous skies above. They demolished all in their route, devouring woods, peaks, and any animal caught in their sweep. Survival belonged only to the swiftest fleers.

This transformation lasted a full month.

Once it concluded, the sea gradually settled. The wild power ebbed away, but the presence it emitted had become cleaner and vastly mightier than earlier.

A wave of disorientation and strangeness briefly overtook the Scarlet King while he settled into his fresh form.

"It's understandable," he mused steadily. "For most of my life, I had a humanoid body. Even when I possessed a dragon's form or moved as Leviathan, I was still an entity with eyes to see and ears to hear. Now... I am an ocean. It will take time to adapt."

Wasting no time, Cain started getting used to his new form. Simultaneously, he imposed his authority on every being inside it. Each would fulfill a role.

Owing to his soul's vast scale, full adaptation came in just four days. He discovered ways to observe via the ocean—how to view, listen, and detect all that lay within.

That wasn't everything.

With one mere idea, huge hands emerged from the blood sea, slamming toward the heavens with crushing might. Their force could pulverize whole ranges. With extra concentration and push, Cain might even craft a colossal human-like figure, one brimming with horrifying battle prowess.

"Excellent."

Joy and eagerness gleamed in the Scarlet King's eyes as he learned to battle and sensed his strength surge. Right then, a keen insight

flashed across his thoughts.

"Step one completed. Time for step two."

Drawing in a steady breath, Cain turned his focus to the beings in his form. Their wills had shattered completely by now. The formerly feral and bloodthirsty monsters—ones that existed solely to slaughter each other—now stood as flawless tools obeying the Scarlet King's orders. "I need to make them stronger if they're going to be useful." Cain remained a newcomer to this cosmos and hadn't yet grasped its stellar energies fully. This realm operated outside Laws and Concepts like those in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe or the Oniric Truths of the Crimson World. Despite his soul's tremendous might, conquering those powers demanded time.

Thankfully, both the Power of The Flow and the Power of Chaos appeared to surpass cosmic limits, working seamlessly across any realm.

Drawing on those powers, Cain started infusing the monsters with the sea's energy and core.

The beings shook fiercely as their forms swelled bigger and

tougher. Some couldn't withstand the shift and burst apart, yet their vitality got swiftly taken in by the rest. No real waste occurred—just purification.

Deep in the blood ocean, an army took shape.
