The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2355 Striking the World of the Root

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain has achieved a significant breakthrough in his Doomsday Arts and Ego Eternal Path of Power, reaching a level of strength that places the fate of the universe squarely on his shoulders. To test his newfound evolution, he engaged in a monumental physical clash against Anark, the True Primordial of the Void, in the depths of space. Through the mastery of The Flow and his enhanced mental capabilities, Cain managed to outmaneuver the primordial being and prove his superior combat prowess. With his power validated and his resolve hardened, the Scarlet King has now departed for the World of the Root to confront the ultimate threat.

Cain materialized within the Golden Hall, accompanied by Anark and the remaining elites of the Scarlet Kingdom. The moment they arrived, their powerful auras erupted, instantly seizing the attention of every cultivator in the vicinity.

The Scarlet King, however, was the primary focus of everyone's gaze. Many had been anxiously awaiting the Warmaster's return; sensing his newfound Cultivation and peak strength, hope surged through the crowd, causing their eyes to shimmer with a deep scarlet light.

Before anyone could greet the arriving group, Cain had already vanished from the hall.

With focused determination, he marched directly toward the World of the Root.

For several years, the World of the Root had been designated a restricted zone. Entry was strictly forbidden, even for the supreme powerhouses of the Six Races or Anark himself. The logic behind this decree was absolute: the nature of the perils lurking within remained a total mystery.

To blindly challenge such an enemy was deemed too hazardous.

Losing even a single high-level warrior could potentially shift the entire momentum of the war.

Cain, however, was not bound by such fears.

Possessing the most resilient physical body in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and equipped with the Samsara Runic Set, he could reform his entire being from a solitary drop of blood if necessary. While danger was still a factor, he knew that great rewards required great risks.

Constructed by the Will of the Universe, the Golden Hall was situated such that one could fly straight toward the World of the Root. It took very little time for Cain and his companions to reach the edge of the void bordering the enemy's territory.

Cain signaled with a raised hand.

The entire group came to a halt immediately.

Inhaling deeply, Cain moved forward alone, distancing himself from the others. His expression grew grave as his eyes fixed upon the massive Wall of Fire and Flesh that protected the World of the Root.

"The barrier encircling the World of the Root is more than just a defense," Cain remarked softly, his perception diving into its structure. "It actively corrupts anything it comes into contact with."

His gaze sharpened as he analyzed the threat further. "Physical strikes will only result in my flesh being polluted. Any Spells I cast will merely be absorbed as fuel."

Despite the complexity of the obstacle, a small smile touched Cain's lips. He settled into a meditative posture as the Wings of Chaos began to radiate light behind him.

A moment later, they pulsed.

A web of countless translucent threads appeared around his form.

Rather than drawing upon the power of the Matrix—which would have inflicted a staggering toll on his soul—Cain established a connection with the warriors behind him. As the Warmaster of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance, he was viewed by millions as the ultimate protector against the Root—a status previously held only by the Demon King in the Crimson World.

Through these spiritual bonds, his internal power climbed to unprecedented heights.

Eventually, his wings blazed with the intensity of small suns.

"Chaos of Gluttony: All-Devouring Eye."

Fusing his own essence with the energy of those connected to him via the Power of Chaos, a colossal eye manifested at his back—its scale rivaling that of a moon. It lacked eyelids, featuring instead rows of sharp, jagged teeth, and it projected a suction force so violent that the void itself began to buckle.

The watching cultivators felt a chill of pure terror.

Instinct told them that such a power could erase their physical forms, souls, and consciousness in a mere instant.

Seconds later, massive tentacles burst from the All-Devouring Eye, latching firmly onto the Wall of Fire and Flesh that warded the World of the Root.

The barrier immediately attempted to spread its corruption, seeking to warp the appendages with the Power of the Root.

However, the Power of Chaos proved more potent.

The tendrils pulsed as they began to consume the fire and flesh, siphoning the stolen energy back into the moon-sized eye. As this process unfolded, more figures began to emerge in the void.

Amara.

Cipher.

Zephirax.

Arkam.

Uriel.

The sovereigns of the other five Empyrean Worlds within the Alliance arrived, accompanied by the leaders of the Everstrife Empyrean World. They watched in stunned silence, their eyes wide with shock as they saw the Scarlet King successfully damaging the Wall of Fire and Flesh—a feat none of them had ever managed.

For a full hour, the All-Devouring Eye continued its feast upon the flames and meat.

Finally, Cain’s eyelids flickered.

He ceased the technique.

The tentacles slowly retreated. Though that portion of the wall had been significantly eroded, a layer still remained. Attempting to force a passage at that moment would have been suicidal.

Just as the onlookers began to think the assault had failed, Cain opened his eyes and beamed a radiant smile. He pointed his hand toward the barrier and spoke a single command.

"Fire."

The All-Devouring Eye erupted with brilliance as the massive stores of consumed energy were compressed into a single point—before being discharged as a gargantuan scarlet beam.

The projectile tore through the void and slammed into the Wall of Fire and Flesh with world-shaking power.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A titanic scarlet explosion illuminated the darkness, its shockwave traveling across vast distances. Once the blinding light faded, the result was visible to all—

A massive breach had been torn through the Wall of Fire and Flesh.

Visible through the gap was the actual surface of the World of the Root.

The sight of it filled the warriors with immediate revulsion and disgust. It was a grotesque mockery—a complete desecration of what had once been a proud member of the Nine Empyrean Worlds.

The fundamental nature of their very existence caused their hearts to burn with pure enmity.

These intense emotions channeled directly into Cain through the Power of Chaos.

Without a moment's pause, he reached out his hand.

A Zero-State Spear materialized in his grip.

The forces of Entropy and Nihility blended perfectly within the weapon, amplified further by the Power of Chaos and the collective fury of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe's defenders.

"Stop!"

A voice booming with terrifying pressure and command echoed from the depths of the World of the Root, directed at Cain.

The Scarlet King's grin only grew wider.

With every ounce of his might, he launched the spear.

It impacted the world's surface—and exploded, shattering entire continents into dust.
