The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2336 The Eternity Gate and the Scarlet Throne

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The Ancient One trapped Zuko within the Negation Coffin, a dimension of absolute annihilation that pushed the Leader of the Masked Race to the brink of death. By piercing his own skull and releasing the power of his mask, Zuko shattered the prison and launched a devastating counterattack that nearly split his foe in two. However, the Ancient One survived the assault and manifested wings of white plasma, tapping into the island’s World Matrix to unleash a terrifying new level of power. Meanwhile, Meylin and the Enlightened One took advantage of a sudden shift in the island's laws to finally obliterate the Neo-Angel Parmeto.

Meylin was never one to let potential go to waste. As the need for paralysis faded, her twin blades began to greedily consume the essence and vital life force of the fallen Neo-Angel.

A look of contentment washed over her face as she retracted her Redemption Incarnation. She channeled the stolen power of her adversary to replenish her own reserves and accelerate her cultivation. Turning her attention elsewhere, she and the Enlightened One looked toward the source of a massive energy surge that had just vibrated through the very laws of reality.

"That was Cain's Power of Chaos, right?" the Enlightened One questioned.

Meylin’s brow furrowed at his words. While the energy had initially seemed identical, a deeper analysis revealed subtle discrepancies to her senses.

"It is similar," she answered after a moment of deliberation, "but something feels different. Furthermore, its potency appeared to be far greater."

The Enlightened One gave a nod, conceding to the perspective of the True Depravita of Origin Sin.

"He might have reached a new level, causing his ability to evolve," he suggested. "Additionally, the laws and rules governing this area differ from the rest of the Crimson World. That could account for the variation."

Though Meylin acknowledged the logic, a lingering sense of doubt remained in her mind.

"Let’s move out."

Once Meylin finish draining every drop of energy and vitality from the Neo-Angel's remains, the pair pressed forward. Utilizing the power of the Flow, the island's core became increasingly vivid to them. The energy pooling there was unlike anything they had ever felt—it was profound, dense, and carried a heavy authority that weighed upon their very souls.

Neither of them could have guessed the true majesty of the Eternity Gate belonging to the King of the Crimson World.

"ARGHHHH!"

A pained shriek tore through the mountain range as Cain’s blade sliced through the torso of a Neo-Angel archer. Her name was Auri. Despite being only an Early Alpha-Omega Overgod, her talent for controlling the flow of combat made her an exceptionally dangerous foe.

She fired arrows that teleported incessantly, rendering their paths impossible to track. She could even swap locations with her projectiles, masking her presence so effectively that only the Power of Chaos could pinpoint her. Cain had been locked in combat with her for over an hour before he finally found an opening.

Recognizing this might be his only shot, Cain funneled his entire strength into the blow, nearly cutting her in half.

But as he moved to strike her head and finish the paralysis, Auri’s eyes flashed with light. Her physical form burst into hundreds of crimson droplets, scattering in every direction.

Cain’s expression darkened.

He could have obliterated every single drop of blood if he unleashed the full extent of the Power of Chaos, but the cost was too high.

"She is too incapacitated to return to the fight anytime soon. The backlash isn't worth the effort."

He gave a short nod to himself, permitting her escape while he focused on mending his own wounds. Without lingering, Cain continued his journey.

A cold light flickered in his eyes as he thought back to the ripple that had disturbed the Matrix of Origin Island. It was a deeply unsettling occurrence. Cain found it impossible to grasp how another individual could trigger such an event.

Beyond himself—and the mysterious entity that had possessed him during the battle against Dark Sky and the Root—he believed this was a power unique to him.

"Guessing will get me nowhere." Pushing those distractions aside, he forged ahead.

Before long, the sheer density of the energy became so overwhelming that Cain didn't even need the Flow or the Power of Chaos to know he had reached the center. Yet, when he arrived, his expression became complicated. A massive field of golden wheat, swaying in the breeze, stretched out before him. At its heart sat a grand pyramid featuring nine distinct tiers.

Cain frowned.

This made no sense at all.

His instincts told him this was the island's core. The rules and energy radiating from this spot were the most potent he had felt, yet it was empty—no sentries, no seals, and no hidden fortresses.

Maintaining his guard, Cain approached the pyramid.

The moment his foot touched the first step, his eyes snapped wide.

He stopped dead in his tracks.

It felt as if the entire sum of the energy and rules governing the First Realm of the Crimson World had suddenly materialized in front of him. The force hit him like a tidal wave, nearly crushing his soul. His consciousness wavered for a split second under the immense pressure.

However, he quickly adjusted.

This sensation was familiar to him.

When he had integrated the landmass of the First Realm, the realm's power had already permeated his soul and body. While the wisdom contained in this single step was significantly more vast, the intensity did not exceed what he had previously survived.

Taking a deep breath, Cain sat upon the step, allowing the profound insights and knowledge to etch themselves into his mind, body, and soul.

Time slipped away.

An hour passed before the insights were fully integrated. The mysteries of the First Realm of the Crimson World were now a part of Cain.

These were insights rather than raw power, so his immediate strength did not spike. Nevertheless, his True Name was nourished, and his foundation grew significantly more robust.

There was another benefit as well.

With these new understandings, Cain sensed the fusion of the Blue Matrix within his Neo-Demon Core move another step forward, edging closer to a complete transcendental evolution.

Though these developments were staggering, Cain put them out of his mind.

Because as he finished the first step, the summit of the pyramid was no longer vacant.

A colossal red gate now stood at the top.

It loomed over the landscape, magnificent and terrifying, exuding an aura of pure wonder. It felt as though whatever resided on the other side held power and secrets that transcended all logic.

Even more startling was the reaction from within Cain himself.

His Scarlet Throne gave a violent shudder for a moment, as if it were vibrating in resonance with the Eternity Gate of the King of the Crimson World.
