The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2331 The Demon King's power

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain’s investigation of the Samsara Lord’s statue reveals a detached deity who favors struggle over direct intervention, leading Cain to theorize that Origin Island originates from a realm of far greater power. Guided by the Power of Chaos, he moves toward the island's core while the captive Bradly is stripped of his secrets by a mysterious, violet-eyed group known as the Masked Race. Their ancient leader, having assessed the strength of the invaders, declares their intent to protect their slumbering King. With a final command to expel or destroy all outsiders, the warriors mobilize as the very sky above the island begins to tremble.

Horror gripped Hanzo's heart the instant he witnessed Zanko being torn apart within that crimson dimension. He didn't hesitate for a second, flickering into the distance and burning his very life force to accelerate his escape. Reason was drowned out by terror; his mind held nothing but the desperate urge to survive.

Cain cast a brief look toward the retreating Neo-Angel but made no move to give chase. The moment he confirmed he was truly alone, the immense strain vanished from his frame. His legs nearly gave out, and blood began to seep from his nostrils and eyes, dripping onto the earth below.

Cain whispered through gritted teeth, "The rise in my soul force helped me greatly, but using the island's Matrix is still too much for me."

He took several ragged breaths to steady his spirit and focused on his recovery. A massive surge of life force, harvested from what remained of Zanko, flowed into him to mend his broken form. Cain understood he couldn't stay in one spot for long, yet he also knew that maintaining peak condition was mandatory in a place as lethal as Origin Island.

"I'm getting closer and closer to the core of the island," he mused with a grim expression. "Conflicts will only become more common now. I must remain vigilant. Even if I can overcome Middle Alpha-Omega Overgods, the Freedom Path still possesses even more formidable warriors." Once his state was stable, Cain relocated to a more hidden area to focus entirely on his healing. As he did, his eyes flashed with realization as he recalled his brief union with the Matrix. Connecting to the island's laws had granted him more than just raw power—it had provided a sudden influx of data.

"Someone altered the rules of Origin Island," Cain noted. "The countdown to its closure has been moved up significantly."

He was satisfied despite not knowing the culprit behind the change. His goal was to ensure the Eternity Gate remained unused, so a faster closure played right into his hands. Whatever hidden force was speeding up the clock, it favored his objectives.

Just as Cain suspected, the carnage across Origin Island reached a fever pitch as the combatants of the Life Path and Freedom Path converged on the center.

Two titanic Neo-Angels stood poised for battle above a lake that seemed to be composed of pure lightning, facing a solitary foe.

The first Neo-Angel was a dragon the size of a mountain range. Its massive frame was shielded by dark, fractured scales resembling ancient stone. Behind it, tattered and skeletal wings crackled with volcanic energy and veins of glowing fire. Every breath it exhaled released a crushing pressure.

The second Neo-Angel took the form of a giant humanoid carved from pale rock. Molten red cracks spiderwebbed across its skin, and four colossal arms grew from its torso, each appearing strong enough to support the heavens.

They were Zylax and Paramount.

Their physical presence was awe-inspiring, but their auras were truly nightmare-inducing. As Late Alpha-Omega Overgods, their combined might could make the cosmos tremble. They possessed the power to shatter Empyrean Worlds and incinerate Crimson Realms. Nevertheless, their faces were masks of grim apprehension.

They were up against a single man.

Though he stood only a few meters tall, his presence completely overshadowed the duo.

He was the Demon King! The sovereign of the Life Path and one of the two most powerful beings in the Crimson World.

The Demon King looked at the Neo-Angels with a small smile, though his gaze remained cold and predatory. Even though ascending to a True Depravita had purged his innate darkness, he remained the same general who had commanded an armageddon throughout the Crimson World. In the heat of combat, he was as ruthless as ever.

A single second of absolute silence passed.

Then, the Neo-Angels struck.

Zylax lifted a massive claw, manifesting a spear of golden lightning that dwarfed his own body. The energy condensed instantly into a solid weapon before he threw it with world-shaking velocity.

Simultaneously, Paramount brought all four of his hands together. Intense pressure surged between his palms, forming a dark orb with a burning red center that expanded and then collapsed into a tiny star. With a deafening cry, he fired it at the Demon King.

The Neo-Angels held nothing back from the start. They understood that their only hope of escaping this encounter alive was to injure the Demon King and find a gap to flee.

Their strikes possessed enough raw power to light up entire galaxies, saturated with terrifying levels of cosmic force.

However, the Demon King's smile never wavered.

His eyes sparked as he casually reached out one hand.

It was a simple gesture, yet the heavens groaned and the ground of Origin Island shook violently. To the horror of the Neo-Angels, two shimmering golden hands manifested behind the Demon King, lunging forward to intercept the lightning spear and the miniature star.

"RUMBLE!"

The entire region convulsed. The earth was pulverized, and ripples of shockwaves tore through the sky. Despite the chaos, the laws of the island held firm, containing the blast and preventing the collapse of space. It was a testament to the sheer strength of Origin Island's fundamental rules.

For a heartbeat, the powers were locked in a stalemate.

Then the collision reached its breaking point, triggering a colossal explosion that swallowed the entire battlefield.

Zylax and Paramount hovered in the air, searching the smoke to see if their desperate gambit had succeeded.

To their dismay, the Demon King materialized right between them in the very next second.

With a flick of his right hand, a golden palm appeared and slammed into Zylax's mountain-like body, sending the dragon flying through the air like a falling star.

Paramount let out a roar as his energy flared, swinging all four massive arms in a frantic attempt to pulverize the Demon King.

The Demon King simply closed his fist.

In that instant, two golden palms clamped onto Paramount's body, crushing the Neo-Angel between them with irresistible strength.

The fight had lasted less than ten seconds.

But in that short time, the Demon King had shown exactly why he was able to lead half the universe under his banner.
