"You have grown."
Those words were spoken by Zarazel, his gaze glowing with a piercing, sharp intensity. In response, the Scarlet King offered a small, composed smile, acknowledging the True Depravita's observation.
Cain recalled his first interaction with the True Depravita of Fear, a time when he was consumed by awe and reverence for the Alpha-Omega Overgod. Zarazel's presence had once been an overwhelming weight, a monumental force representing the peak Cain sought to surpass. However, less than five decades later, that sense of intimidation had vanished. The power emanating from the True Depravita was no longer an unfathomable mystery to Cain's eyes.
This shift in perspective was only natural. He had survived encounters with entities far more formidable than Zarazel and emerged from battles that should have wiped him from existence. He had even stood before a world-sized tumor teeming with immortal Alpha-Omega Overgods and forced the entire realm to tremble. Nevertheless, Zarazel served as the Demon King’s representative within the Second Realm, and Cain refused to let arrogance cloud his vision. Clasping his fists, he gave a respectful nod before meeting Zarazel’s stare again, a meaningful glint flickering in his eyes.
"I can see that the situation in the Second Realm has become dire," Cain remarked evenly. "But I believe I have the answer."
A slight frown touched Zarazel’s features. For years, he had struggled against the expanding tide of the Freedom Path, clashing repeatedly with Urin only to be driven back every time. Now, Cain had emerged from years of silence to claim he possessed a solution—one that Zarazel himself had been unable to find.
Though Cain intended no insult, such a statement could easily be viewed as a challenge to Zarazel's competence.
Utilizing the Flow and the Power of Chaos, Cain sensed the turbulent emotions within the True Depravita: skepticism, irritation, and a sting of wounded pride. Even so, he did not hurry to justify his claim.
If Zarazel’s ego was so brittle that he would take offense and act impulsively, then he would be useless as a strategic partner, making any further talk a waste of time.
Fortunately, the Demon King did not appoint incompetent fools to the rank of True Depravita.
Taking a slow, measured breath, Zarazel forced his temper into submission before focusing on Cain once more.
"And what would that answer be?" he inquired.
Cain’s smile grew more pronounced, though his gaze remained frigid and sharp.
"It is simple," he declared. "I will give Urin a true death."
The proclamation hit the air like a crack of thunder.
The target Cain intended to imprison within his Fourth Astral Black Hole was no mere Archdeity or lesser Overgod. It was Urin—the Alpha-Omega Overgod Neo-Angel who currently governed over three-quarters of the Second Realm with an iron grip.
Meylin, who had been watching in silence, felt her breath hitch. While she never doubted Cain’s capacity to alter the war’s trajectory through his cunning and power, even she struggled to hide her astonishment.
Wiping out Urin’s physical form and soul would already be a monumental achievement. Considering Cain had previously accomplished this against Braldy, it was within the realm of possibility, especially since he had grown much stronger. However, a true death required the erasure of the True Name itself—a feat vastly more complex, bordering on the impossible.
Zarazel’s shock was equally profound. Disbelief flashed in his eyes, quickly followed by doubt. He had fought Urin on countless occasions, and even forcing her to retreat had demanded every ounce of his strength. To envision the total end of her existence was something he had never considered a viable goal.
Yet, instead of dismissing the claim, Zarazel scrutinized Cain with intensity.
"Then why haven't you done it already?" he questioned.
It was a logical inquiry.
Cain nodded, conceding the point. "Every time Urin moves, she is accompanied by the full strength of the Freedom Path. While I can confront her directly, I cannot deal with distractions. I require the Life Path’s forces to be fully mobilized—to tie down her armies, stop interferences, and cut off her path should she try to escape."
Cain understood the dangerous gap between confidence and hubris. To underestimate Urin would be a fatal error, risking not only the Crimson World but the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe as well. Ultimately, his current path was one of cultivation and growth, all to ensure he could eventually defeat The Root.
Zarazel fell into a silent contemplation.
If Cain actually managed to slay Urin, the power dynamic of the Second Realm would flip in an instant. Deprived of an Alpha-Omega Overgod to lead and protect them, the Freedom Path’s forces would be vulnerable, allowing Zarazel to seize back lost lands with overwhelming might. The balance of power would be shattered in favor of the Life Path.
But the gamble was staggering.
As it stood, the Freedom Path held the advantage. To back Cain’s gambit, the Life Path would have to go all-in—burning through life force, exhausting their resources, and risking total annihilation. If Cain failed to execute Urin, the fallout would be catastrophic. Their remaining strongholds would fall, the Second Realm would be lost to the Freedom Path, and the shockwaves would be felt across the entire Crimson World.
On one side was the chance for a historic triumph.
On the other, complete destruction.
Zarazel weighed the options heavily. Ultimately, the deciding factor was Cain himself.
With a sweeping motion of the True Depravita’s hand, the energy of the Heart of Sin swirled above, forming a massive structure. Seconds later, it solidified into a sealed combat domain—a massive box the size of a city.
"I must witness the true extent of your power," Zarazel stated, his voice cold and determined. "Only then will I make my choice."
Cain met the challenge without a hint of doubt and nodded.
The outcome would be decided by raw strength. If he wanted the Life Path to commit everything to his cause, he had to prove he was worth the risk.
Without a moment's delay, Cain entered the sealed domain, with Zarazel following close behind. As the barrier locked into place, the auras of both warriors vanished from the senses of the outside world, leaving no trace of the titanic struggle beginning within.
