The notifications streamed in relentlessly, stacking in vibrant, triumphant crimson hues on the interface of every player. Once the final line of text dissolved, the entire Blood Domain legion exploded into a frenzy.
A thunderous roar of cheering swept through the devastated city. Weapons were hoisted high into the air. Skills were cast into the sky like fireworks. Players were shouting, laughing, sobbing, and embracing one another, jumping around like madmen.
It felt impossible to believe, yet a ragtag guild that had existed for barely ten minutes—commanded by a man who treated a full-scale war like a casual training session—had actually triumphed in a city conquest.
A primary Light Faction fortress, protected by elite NPCs, top-tier guilds, reinforced magical barriers, and tens of thousands of defenders, had been toppled by a group of random players held together by sheer panic, chaos, and the absolute lunacy of one peerless, monstrous individual.
The world chat windows were moving too fast to read.
[World Chat]
Bro, what do you mean Blood Domain took a city??? It was created ten minutes ago!
??? How is this possible ???
I blinked and the whole city was gone??
Can someone please post a clip of that poison lotus skill?
Why did one person just delete an entire map? Is this even allowed??
The report button isn't doing anything, help aaaaaaaaa!
What the hell? Is Blood God the number one player now?
Players from the Light Faction watched the live broadcasts with the same horror as villagers watching a dragon incinerate their homes. This one-man display of power was simply beyond comprehension. How could a single player be so much more powerful than the rest of the world? The game was clearly broken! Was there even a point in playing this stupid game anymore?
Even the major guilds across the continent were plunged into a state of emergency.
"This is impossible."
"Rewind that footage! Replay it again!"
"How do we even counter a threat like this?! Do we need a raid group?? A therapist??? How the hell are we supposed to survive a poison like that? Summon every damn alchemist we have, right now!"
"They just lost 10,000 players to one guy sitting on a lotus flower."
"...What are we even supposed to write in the official guild report??"
"Ladies and gentlemen... I believe the only strategic conclusion is... 'We're doomed.'"
Totally indifferent to the surrounding mayhem, Aurora made a dramatic landing on a watchtower, her wings flaring wide. She pointed toward the hazy horizon with the authority of a victorious general.
"Victoryyyyyyyy!"
The recruits of Blood Domain roared back in a delirious frenzy. Kate rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on. She had no clue how to manage a guild of this nature. Players were weeping, hugging, rolling in the dirt, updating their bios, and snapping screenshots as if their lives depended on it. "I just joined a random party, and now I'm a citizen of a conquered city!!"
"Blood Domain forever!!"
"Can we get guild uniforms??"
"We need a logo! A flag! A theme song!"
Kate let out a groan. "You people were screaming and fleeing for your lives ten minutes ago..." She scanned the area only to realize Damon had already vanished. He had left only a single message for them: "I am going to seize a few more cities. See you guys later." Kate didn't know which was more stressful—the chaotic celebration or Damon's parting words. What did he mean by "grabbing a few more cities"? Was he planning to attack another city immediately? Right this second? It defied logic. Not even Damon should be capable of something so reckless.
While she was lost in thought, a fresh system notification manifested before her eyes.
[Ding! Guild Blood Domain has officially declared a Regional Skirmish War!]
[Ding! Guild War Objective: Establishing total dominance over Skyfall City]
Kate gasped. This time, the war didn't seem to be mandatory for all guild members, and there was no mention of a forced teleportation. Regardless, the war was real, and the news was chilling.
Was Damon truly going to take several cities? Just as he had messaged her? She had a gut feeling that was exactly his plan. Her heart began to pound. While she was well aware that Damon was far from ordinary, she didn't want to see him suffer or struggle. Would he really be alright?
Kate briefly considered teleporting to Skyfall City to assist him, but she knew she would only be an obstacle in her current state. She turned to find Aurora, but the woman was already gone.
Knowing that crazy woman, Kate was certain she had already reached Skyfall City. She exhaled a sigh of relief, a small smile touching her lips. Initially, it had been hard for her to accept many things, but Aurora wasn't so bad.
She was reliable and incredibly powerful. Ultimately, Kate was grateful that the fallen angel was on their side and part of their family.
After all, the world they lived in now was insane. The logic and rules of the old world no longer applied. As long as Aurora stood by Damon and supported him, Kate was more than willing to embrace such an unconventional life.
