Six marble-sized balls hovered within the crystal sphere beside Corey, each one radiating a distinct hue of light.
A black radiance emanated from the ball containing the weapon spirit of his former Genesis Armament.
The spirit of his late Dual Battle Axes glowed with a colorless light.
The weapon spirit belonging to his deceased Dawnsplit Fang cast a vibrant yellow glow.
A deep crimson light identified the spirit of his late Demonic Sabers.
The ball shining with a pale white light held the spirit of his late Ghost Gloves.
Finally, a cyan light pulsed from the weapon spirit of his late Ancient Spear.
Corey had intentionally extracted the weapon spirits from his previous armaments to serve as nourishment for Primus.
Primus possessed the ability to evolve by consuming other weapons, rare metals, ores, or the souls, spirits, and Wills of living beings, as well as other Will Spirits.
Since the moment of his inception, Primus had already feasted upon his own Heavenly Tribulation along with the soul, spirit, and Will of a literal God.
Even though a Tribulation is not a physical weapon, metal, or soul, Primus utilized it for growth because the Tribulation embodied the Will of the Heavens.
He had not merely absorbed the lightning energy of the Tribulation—which is essentially the energy of the Heavens—but had actually devoured the Will of the Heavens itself.
In the fabric of existence, Will is a fundamental component of all things.
This act was the genuine reason behind the curse placed upon Primus.
The curse did not stem from absorbing Tribulation energy, but from the sacrilege of consuming the Heavens' own Will.
Furthermore, this was why Primus would be branded as a demonic or malevolent tool in the eras to come; his capacity to feast on Wills was a forbidden power that terrified even entities far beyond the gods of this universe.
While Corey sensed the weight of this, he remained unaware of just how dire the consequences would become in the distant future.
Yet, even with full knowledge, he would have felt no regret nor changed his path in the slightest.
It was specifically this devouring trait that granted a mortal like him the power to slay a God’s Incarnate.
Now, Corey intended to provide Primus with six high-quality Weapon Spirits, eager to witness the resulting evolution.
With a mere thought, Corey unlocked the crystal sphere and used telekinesis to draw out the Weapon Spirits.
One by one, he began the feeding process.
Each time his telekinesis pressed a weapon spirit against Primus, the point of contact would turn liquid, allowing the spirit to be pulled into Primus's form.
To Corey’s minor astonishment, the spirits attempted to resist.
Possessing a degree of sentience, their survival instincts flared as they realized they were in a life-or-death struggle.
However, their resistance was futile. They lacked their physical shells—their bodies—and were trapped within Primus’s own domain. Moreover, Primus held a significantly higher grade than the majority of these spirits.
Corey’s primary concerns were the spirit of the Genesis Armament, crafted by the Old Ones; the Ancient Spear’s spirit, which was an Origin Grade entity like Primus; and the spirit of the Dual Battle Axes, a gift from the Paragon Ancestor with unfathomable potential.
Despite his worries regarding these three, Primus ultimately dominated them all.
The Genesis Armament might have been a creation of the Old Ones, but it was merely a Violet Grade weapon. It stood no chance against the might of an Origin Grade weapon like Primus.
Regarding the Ancient Spear, the seal placed by the Wandering Paragon had forced its spirit into a slumber, making it easy prey for Primus.
Sensing mortal danger, the spear's spirit tried to wake and defend itself through sheer instinct.
Unfortunately for the spirit, its weakened state prevented it from shattering the Old Man’s seal, allowing Primus to consume it with relative ease.
Then came the Weapon Spirit of the Dual Battle Axes from the Paragon Ancestor.
Corey braced himself for a fierce struggle due to the spirit's unique nature, yet none occurred.
The spirit offered no resistance at all, willingly allowing itself to be absorbed.
Though confused by this turn of events, Corey didn't dwell on it, shifting his full attention back to Primus.
A chaotic swirl of black, crimson, yellow, white, cyan, and colorless lights erupted across Primus as golden runes began to slither across its surface like snakes.
Second by second, the aura radiating from Primus intensified until even Corey felt a sense of dread from the pressure.
The workbench groaned under the weight. Cracks splintered the space surrounding Primus, and the entire Forge began to shake violently.
Outside, the gods were wide-eyed with shock the moment they felt Primus's aura, their faces twisted in pure disbelief.
Even the Martial God, the Sun God, and the God of Miracles—beings who were perpetually stoic—looked stunned.
The reality of what they were sensing was hard to grasp.
“That’s—that’s—no... could I be dreaming?” the Ice Goddess stammered, lost in her confusion.
Usually, the Goddess of Serpents would have sneered at such a display of weakness, but she remained silent.
They were all paralyzed by the same shock.
“A Semi-Omega Grade weapon?” the Martial God whispered to himself.
Back within the Forge, the light from Primus became so blinding that Corey had to shield his eyes.
Suddenly, he felt a familiar, heavy gaze upon him.
It was the gaze of a Tribulation.
Corey’s mouth twitched uncontrollably as he watched dark clouds begin to manifest in the sky above.
