Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2100: Pure emptiness
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
Traversing the same corridor as the previous areas, I couldn't help but ponder what awaited us ahead.
After all, visualizing a habitat for wind elementals proved quite a challenge.
My mental image of wind elementals consisted of beings composed entirely of air; surely such creatures would have few material needs.
It seemed logical that any location blessed with a breeze would serve as a suitable home for them.
Upon reaching the base of the stairs, the sight—or perhaps the lack thereof—left every one of us astonished.
To be precise, the absence of anything at all was the truly surprising part.
The chamber was entirely void of contents.
In stark contrast to the previous dwellings of the rock and flame elementals, this space felt utterly vacant, devoid of any discernible objects or structures.
As I gathered my thoughts, a part of me recognized that this state was, in fact, entirely expected.
This realization came because I could distinctly perceive the wind currents circulating around us.
Though the breeze was gentle, it brushed against our hair, confirming that this domain was indeed filled with active wind.
The only dilemma remained...
"Where do we begin?" My query echoed into the silence, met only with stillness.
Naturally, none of us had any inkling of how to proceed here.
However, after a brief pause, Lupus spoke up: "Can’t you sense them? They are surrounding us right now."
I wasn't the only one who arched a brow in skepticism; everyone present turned toward Lupus with expressions of bewilderment.
To our eyes, the chamber remained completely deserted.
Nevertheless, Lupus served as a divine messenger for the God of Wind. It stood to reason that she might detect subtle wind elemental manifestations invisible to our senses.
Still, even knowing this, we were left without a clear path forward.
It proved to be a stroke of brilliance that we had brought Lupus along.
With a sudden, sharp howl, the atmosphere in the room shifted dramatically.
Initially, it appeared as though she were launching an assault against hidden foes, but it soon became clear that the wind she stirred held no lethal intent.
Instead, she was channeling a unique current, likely an attempt to communicate with whatever lurked unseen.
The touch of divine energy integrated within the gusts was unmistakable; Lupus was clearly utilizing the authority bestowed upon her by her patron deity.
Before long, a localized whirlwind had coalesced around our group.
Suddenly, a voice resonated: "Representative of Zephyrus, it has been an eternity."
Lupus turned toward the source of the sound and responded, "It has indeed been a long time since our last meeting."
Following her remark, she emitted a series of sounds that none of us could interpret.
Based on my limited knowledge of elementals, this was almost certainly the name of the being Lupus was addressing. If she recognized this entity, it surely marked an encounter between old acquaintances.
Any elemental capable of identifying Lupus must have known her before the great sealing. This, by definition, meant we were likely standing before the ancestor of all wind elementals.
While the other ancestors had proven difficult to secure an audience with, this one responded to Lupus’s call without hesitation.
The situation appeared significantly more favorable for me now that the ancestor had manifested.
Yet, the ancestor appeared entirely indifferent to my presence.
As it fully revealed itself, the lesser wind elementals likewise became partially visible.
They remained far more difficult to perceive than the rock or flame elementals, given that wind lacks a defined physical form.
Unlike tangible gas, they were almost entirely transparent.
Had they not arranged their internal currents into discernible patterns, they would have remained completely intangible to our sight.
The wind elemental ancestor stood far larger than its kin; its sheer, swirling magnitude rivaled the scale of a natural disaster.
It drifted toward Lupus and paused in silence for several moments.
When it finally spoke, its voice carried a warm, familiar tone: "It has been a long time, old friend."
"Our last encounter occurred during the war of the gods."
This confirmed the deep-rooted connection between them.
Given that the elemental tribes followed the gods during that conflict and Lupus acted as a divine messenger, their mutual familiarity was hardly surprising.
After a period of exchange, Lupus gestured toward me and said, "This is the current master I serve, and he is the one destined to grant you salvation."
"Then you must be the individual foretold in the prophecy. We have awaited your arrival for a very long time," the ancestor declared firmly.
The two simply carried the narrative forward, sparing me from the need to intervene at all.
