Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 1942: A god in the mortal world

Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
Tensions reach a breaking point as the royal guards prepare to clash with a set of mysterious tentacles, only for the massive limbs to form words in the common tongue. A legendary kraken emerges and recognizes the Mark of God, but the creature immediately provokes the Merman King by insulting the deity Aquaron. Before a battle can erupt, a mysterious ball of blue light radiating divine energy intervenes to de-escalate the situation. The party is led away by this new entity to discuss matters of grave importance.

Although I noticed the mermaids’ reluctance to follow the kraken, I chose to remain silent.

Their hesitation reached its peak as we crossed the threshold where the massive whirlpools had previously churned.

They seemed terrified that the vortexes might reappear at any second, yet the waters remained perfectly still.

Once we moved past the former site of the whirlpools, the sight before them left the group in a state of shock.

"This water... how can it be so transparent?"

Hidden behind the barrier of the whirlpools, the water was significantly clearer than anything found outside this forbidden zone.

It wasn't merely transparent; the liquid possessed a level of purity that far surpassed the sea outside. It was obvious that some force had meticulously filtered every impurity from the environment.

Still, the situation felt unnatural.

Even with the whirlpools circulating the water, those currents alone shouldn't have been able to scrub the sea so thoroughly. This was the ocean, after all, teeming with life and various organic particles.

The existence of water this pristine simply didn't stand to reason.

Furthermore, even if the whirlpools were responsible for the purification, they were no longer active. Their disappearance was the only reason we were even able to enter this domain.

No matter how much we analyzed the surroundings, the extreme cleanliness of the area remained a complete mystery.

Ignoring our bewildered expressions, the blue orb of light and the kraken continued their path forward.

Before long, we arrived at a settlement that looked like something out of a fairy tale.

This place felt far more like a fantasy town than even the capital of the Merman Empire.

While the Merman Empire utilized underwater stone for their architecture, this entire village was constructed from coral.

It appeared as though every single structure in the vicinity was crafted from the same material.

Upon closer inspection, one could see figures hiding within the coral buildings. However, they clearly had no intention of coming out to greet us.

I couldn't tell if they were hiding because of my presence as a human or because of the mermaids following behind me.

As we reached the heart of the settlement, we discovered a throne made of coral situated in the very center of the town.

The throne ascended high above the surrounding buildings, resembling a grand monument built for worship.

The kraken did not approach the seat; instead, the blue orb of light floated toward it and settled upon the throne. It was a bizarre sight to behold, as the massive throne dwarfed the tiny flickering light.

The kraken simply took its position, floating silently beside the throne.

"Now, I am certain you have questions regarding my identity and the nature of this place..."

Before the entity could finish, I interrupted, "I never expected to witness such a thing—a god actually descending to the mortal plane in this manner..."

"So you are aware. It appears you have already been informed about me and this domain." The blue light showed no signs of surprise at my revelation.

In contrast, the Merman King and his royal guards looked at me with utter confusion, silently pleading for an explanation.

After a brief moment, I clarified, "This is Aestum, the God of Tides, and the kraken serves as his divine messenger in this world."

Upon hearing those words, the Merman King and the guards turned their gazes toward the blue light with expressions of disbelief.

They had never imagined that the small orb of light was actually a deity.

In hindsight, it made sense, given that even the mighty kraken had submitted when the light spoke.

"How is it possible for you to manifest in the mortal realm like this?" I asked in a curious tone after another stretch of silence.

The blue orb didn't respond immediately, but the way it flickered was revealing.

It gave the impression that the deity was laughing, findng my question quite amusing.

After a moment of rhythmic flickering, Aestum spoke, "Well, as the God of Tides, my circumstances are somewhat unique."

Aestum then shifted the conversation, saying, "That is of little consequence for now. What truly matters is the purpose of your visit."

The blue light tilted slightly, as if glancing at the kraken, before continuing, "We are aware of why you have come, and it would be an honor for my messenger to serve the Holy Son. However, it will be difficult for him to accompany you while remaining in this form."

I ignored the latter part of the statement, narrowing my eyes as I studied the blue light.

Even though it wasn't exactly like Nox, the polite tone this being used with me was unsettling.

After all, I was standing before a god.

It was one thing for a single deity to treat me with such respect, but for a second one to behave the same way was even more suspicious.

It suggested that a certain pattern existed among the gods regarding me...
