Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 1909: A bunch of familiar faces
As I read through the first report, it really felt like my eyes were able to fall off.
The information that was in this report was very densely written and it seemed to have quite a few details.
I knew that this was all because of the sheer amount of people that had come or else there wouldn’t be so few reports. Only I really wished that they had written it a bit more apart so that it would have been easier for me to read.
Still, I pushed on and reviewed all of the reports that had been placed in front of me.
As I did, I couldn’t help slightly knitting my brows since I didn’t actually recognize any of the names that were on this report.
But slowly I understood why that was the case.
The hero units that were to be recruited in the game were all people that were relatively unknown. After all, it would have been hard for them to be free to recruit if they were people that had been known.
Some of them might have been in low positions, but they were in relatively low positions so that they could leave those positions whenever they wanted.
So this report that I was reading wasn’t really that useful since it only contained those that were considered seeded contestants. It was only natural that the prime minister and the chancellor would put these names on top.
After all, one would think that these people would be the ones that we would want to recruit.
But I knew that there was a limit to these people that they couldn’t overcome.
They would certainly be powerful normal units, but they would never be able to reach the level of being hero units.
Hero units were special units that were one in a million.
Their talent far surpassed anything that any normal person could match.
But as I was putting this report down, I suddenly noticed something.
"That’s a familiar name..." I thought to myself before picking up that report again just to look at the one person.
After thinking for a bit, I finally remembered where I had heard this name before.
"This is another hero unit."
It was a hero unit, but it wasn’t one that was recruitable.
It was one of the hero units that was used in the tutorial when introducing hero units, so it was a character that had faded away when new hero units appeared.
But this did help me realize something.
I was in the era where the hero units in the game were still developing, but that didn’t mean that there weren’t any hero units at all. There were various hero units that would have appeared during missions and such.
Just because those hero units faded in the later game, that didn’t mean that they didn’t have talent now.
A part of me couldn’t help feeling even more excited as I realized this.
I had only been thinking about the future hero units that I could have recruited, but that number had instantly doubled because of the current hero units. It was like suddenly finding more money in one’s pockets after receiving some.
I wouldn’t let this chance go to waste.
As soon as I realized this, I started looking at the report in my hand carefully to see if there were any other names that I recognized.
I couldn’t help cursing myself for not paying more attention to the hero units during the missions of the early and mid game. But in the end, I was able to recognize a few names since they had shown up quite a few times during these missions.
These were people that I knew were powerful and would be able to help in our fight.
"Ha, ha, ha, I almost missed this treasure." I said to myself in a low voice, while completely ignoring the strange way that the prime minister and the chancellor looked at me.
After reading through this list of seeded contestants, it was only natural that what came next was finding the budding hero units. These were the ones that would become hero units in the future, so I had to recruit them now and train them up.
But with the rewards that I still had with the gods, it would have been easy for me to get the relics that we needed for this.
"I won’t let a single one of you go." I said to myself in a strange voice.
Once again, I ignored the way that the prime minister and the chancellor looked at me.
When it was all done, I said, "Alright, I have a list of people for you to recruit and I have a list of people that I want you to hand over to the racial alliance."
The prime minister and chancellor looked at me with confused looks when they heard this since they were only expecting one list. But the moment that they saw the list of people that I wanted them to hand over to the racial alliance, they immediately understood why I made this list.
"Are you sure about them?" The prime minister couldn’t help asking.
After all, these people had been in their positions for a long time and they had never shown any kind of special powers. So it was hard for the prime minister to think that they would be able to suddenly demonstrate special powers.
"Trust me when I vouch for them."
The prime minister and chancellor couldn’t help giving me a strange look when they heard the confident tone that I said this in, but I didn’t back down as I looked right back at them.
So in the end, the prime minister gave a nod and took these two lists.
They trusted that I would know what I was doing, so they didn’t bother questioning it in the end.
After all, I had already shown them plenty of surprises and things would prove themselves in the end.
There was no need for them to question anything.
That was their trust in me.
