Reincarnated with the Mind Control Powers in Another World. Chapter 1135: chapter-1135
"Alright then, Mr. Fuck Face... The time has come for you to pose your three questions." Anon remarked, a mocking grin surfacing as he fixed his gaze on Alvin.
'W-What am I supposed to ask him? He's already demonstrated knowledge of things even I'm unaware of.
Just who is this person? Why is he in possession of such high-tier information? I-If I fail this... I'll be forced to run naked around the entire mage tower, and she'll certainly expel me too... What am I going to do?
I-I can't back down now... I-I must come up with three questions that are impossible for him to answer.' Alvin thought, gathering his resolve as he stared back at Anon with a grave expression.
"First Question... How many varieties of Demonic Shards currently exist?"
'Not even the Archmages possess the answer to this, primarily because they haven't all been located yet.' Alvin mused internally, his face serious as he watched Anon.
"Thirteen varieties of Demonic Shards have been identified to date, with approximately twenty more yet to be found." Anon answered, his expression remaining neutral.
"Y-You can't just claim that... You are required to provide the precise number." Alvin declared, an evil smirk playing on his lips.
"Well... That is something I don't know." Anon admitted with the same neutral look.
"Hah..." Alvin let out, a massive grin spreading across his features.
"But... You tell me then." Anon countered, looking directly at Alvin.
"W-What? I-I'm not the one obligated to answer the questions I ask... It's your job to answer them, and if you fail, it means you lose." Alvin retorted with a smile.
"Give him the answer..." Suddenly, Orphia Interjected from behind.
"W-What!?" Alvin stammered, his expression one of pure shock as he turned toward Orphia.
"Provide the answer to your own damn question just like the kid did, or you're dead meat." Orphia threatened, her expression furious as she rose from the bench.
"I-I challenge you to a Death-Duel." The professor shouted, pointing his finger toward Anon.
"What?" Orphia asked, looking at Alvin with a confused look.
"Did... I hear that correctly?"
"Yeah, I believe so... The professor just challenged that student to a Death-Duel."
...
'In the Morguen Empire... a Death-Duel can settle any dispute. If you have a massive debt hanging over your head... simply challenge the lender to a Death-Duel, and if you emerge victorious... your debt is erased.
Regardless of how unjust the situation is... all one must do is challenge their rival to a Death-Duel, and the survivor is declared to be in the right.
However... it's all up to me. I can either take the Duel and fight this man to the death, or I can decline and let Orphia kill him anyway. But if I refuse the duel... I'll be looked down upon by all these fools. I could handle that... but my ego cannot.' Anon thought, a smile forming on his face as a floating screen appeared before him.
[CONNECTION TO AKASHIC RECORDS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED.]
[SYSTEM HAS BEEN ACTIVATED.]
[SKILL SHOP HAS BEEN OPENED.]
"Will you take the challenge? You pathetic worm." Alvin sneered, attempting to provoke Anon so he would accept the duel impulsively.
"If he refuses the duel... you're a dead man, Alvin." Orphia remarked, cracking her knuckles.
"Hah..." Anon suddenly raised his hand into the air, and instantly, a cigar materialized in his grip.
...
"Woah..."
"Space magic."
"He's capable of using such high-level magic?"
"Who exactly is this guy?"
"Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing."
...
Anon set the cigar between his lips and extended his middle finger.
A tiny flame flickered at the tip, lighting the cigar.
*Puff-Puff*
"Cough-Cough... I accept." Anon answered after taking a few puffs, looking at Alvin with a smirk.
"YES... Now, you're a dead man, kid. It doesn't matter how much knowledge you have; you can't intimidate me with these cheap tricks.
You have 30 minutes to get ready... The fight will take place in the Main Ring. I hope you remembered to bring your wand." Alvin said with a smile, exiting the classroom after casting a quick glance at Orphia.
"What have you done, kid? Don't you realize he's a 5th Star Mage? He'll end your life without a second thought.
You were doing so well at first, but you let your ego take control, and now it's going to cost you your life. I thought I'd see you around more this year... But, damn men and their ego." Orphia sighed as she walked out of the room as well.
"Yeah... Fuck them." Anon replied with a grin, heading back toward his desk.
"Wow... Sammy, you certainly did a number on that professor, but watching you die is going to be quite tragic." Suddenly, Wilson spoke up, rising from his seat to block Anon's path.
"Move aside..." Anon commanded.
"Huh...? What was that?" Wilson asked, his expression turning cold.
"I said... move aside, bitch." Anon repeated, lifting his head to meet Wilson's gaze with a flat expression.
"Hey... are you looking to die right now, Sammy?" Wilson growled, his face serious as he seized Anon's collar and yanked him upward.
<Death's Grasp>
Anon triggered his skill, seizing Wilson's throat with his right hand and hoisting him into the air.
"C-Cough-Cough... L-Let... G- Cough-Cough..." Wilson struggled, immediately trying to flow mana into his right hand, but he was suddenly hit by agonizing pain in his limbs.
It felt as though a thousand chainsaws were tearing through his body simultaneously.
"Don't attempt to use magic, or you'll end up killing yourself. Wait, aren't you the one who jumped me this morning?" Anon asked, his voice devoid of emotion.
Suddenly, Wilson's neck began to turn a deep shade of red as his facial features distorted.
*Thud*
Anon released him as his face began to turn blue starting from the neck, a result of oxygen deprivation and mana vein locks.
"Listen closely... Wilson, or whatever your name is. If I catch you near me again, I'll kill you." Anon promised with a smile, returning to his bench where he slept peacefully for the next 28 minutes.
