Reborn as an Extra Chapter 533: The Three Legendary Swords. Part-1.
Previously on Reborn as an Extra...
As an ‘Anomaly,’ a glitch within the world’s matrix, Rio exists beyond the governance of fate or the control of the future.
Nevertheless, fate still offers its suggestions to Rio, leaving the choice of whether to heed them entirely up to him.
Since saving Liam was a necessity regardless, Rio chose to follow the guidance provided and traveled to the dwarf kingdom.
‘The influence of destiny and fate is truly formidable... no wonder those movie and novel protagonists seem nearly invincible and so powerful...’
Fade was a protagonist as well, and his path would have been effortless had an ‘Anomaly’ like Rio not interfered.
"You mentioned previously that this weapon is both uncontrollable and extremely dangerous, and that the ‘law’ of ‘Absolute Destruction’ has taken form within it..."
"How were you able to forge such a devastating weapon then? Is creating something like this even possible? How did you cause a ‘law’ of the ‘world’ to manifest inside this blade..."
Kehrid offered a patient explanation to Rio, letting out a heavy sigh.
"The truth is, I have forged only three ‘Legendary Swords’ in my life, and all of them were crafted during the same period for a single individual..."
"That person was none other than King Allen Von Reinhart! He was a ‘Child of Heavens’! He was blessed by the world itself and possessed heavenly luck!"
Kehrid’s eyes narrowed as he continued his tale.
"Heavenly luck is a powerful force; it will go to any length to assist its favored child!"
"By the time I encountered him, I was already an SS-ranker and a master smith of great talent. He required armaments that could not only fulfill specific roles but also endure his overwhelming strength!"
Rio could anticipate the next part of Kehrid's story.
"I am convinced that his ‘Heavenly Luck’ exerted an influence over me during that time, using me as a vessel to provide its chosen one with ‘Legendary Weapons’..."
"I forged three mighty blades using incredibly rare metals that just ‘happened’ to be available through pure ‘coincidence,’ and then, by ‘coincidence,’ my mind and body achieved a state of perfect ‘flow’..."
"Ultimately, three distinct ‘laws’ of the ‘world’ manifested within my works... entirely on their own, once again by mere ‘coincidence’..."
The point Kehrid was making was straightforward.
His role was merely to build the basic foundation; the ‘World’ and ‘Heavenly Luck’ handled everything else.
All of this occurred simply so that ‘The Chosen One,’ King Allen, could possess weapons that would vastly amplify his power!
Raising a single finger, Kehrid spoke with a grave tone.
"The first was ‘The Sword of Destruction, Vinash.’ The ‘law’ of ‘Destruction’ and ‘End’ took root inside it, transforming it into an absolute tool of mass ruin."
"King Allen was the original wielder... I am unsure how it later reached the demon king’s treasury, but that is where Kevin Flash stole it from..."
"The last time I checked on its whereabouts, I learned that Kevin Flash had passed away and the ‘Weapon’ had been missing since then..."
A slight smile touched Kehrid’s lips as he looked toward Rio.
"I am quite pleased that this potent weapon isn't lost and has found a new successor who handles it even better than that eccentric fellow did..."
Rio was taken aback by Kehrid’s remark.
"Wait, are you saying King Allen himself couldn't master this weapon? That seems impossible, given how powerful he was..."
Kehrid smiled at Rio’s question and replied,
"Do you believe anyone can truly ‘control’ a ‘law’ whose sole purpose is the ‘end’ of all things and the ‘Destruction’ of the ‘world’?"
"That blade appears to have bonded with your very soul, which is quite strange... I cannot explain why this happened..."
"It is currently in a highly suppressed state because you lack the strength to handle it, but as you grow more powerful, it will unseal itself accordingly..."
Stroking his beard, Kehrid asked with a look of confusion,
"Actually, it surprises me too... why does this ‘uncontrollable’ weapon act so ‘calmly’ and ‘docile’ while in your possession?"
"It’s very odd... Could you perhaps be an ‘illegitimate child’ of the demon king?"
That question nearly made Rio punch the elderly dwarf.
‘How many people are going to ask me that same thing!!!!?’
"Does it matter if I am a demon? To your disappointment, I am actually just a normal human..."
Kehrid frowned at Rio's claim and remarked,
"Well... this weapon is obsessed with wanting to ruin the ‘world,’ so it might prefer corrupted beings and ‘demons’ over others..."
"Demon Kings are likely the ideal hosts for this sword... yet, even then, it wouldn't be this ‘docile’... you are clearly not the ordinary human you claim to be..."
Kehrid waved his hand, dismissing Rio’s words.
"I will never touch beer or wine again for the rest of my life if you turn out to be a normal kid. I would bet my life on it..."
Rio could only let out a helpless sigh.
Not wanting to disclose that he was a transmigrator, he shifted the conversation.
"Forget about me; tell me about the other two swords. I want to hear about them as well..."
Kehrid had no reason or desire to pry into Rio’s secrets; he understood that everyone had things they wished to keep hidden, and it was better not to dig too deep.
"The second sword was ‘The Sword Of Salvation, Astra’! I gave it that name because its attributes and powers strongly reminded me of the human woman named ‘Astra’..."
Having met ‘Astra’ alongside King Allen, Kehrid was well-acquainted with her abilities.
"Astra was a person of great kindness, and this sword operated on those same principles..."
"The ‘laws’ of ‘protection, care, and love’ manifested in the weapon, creating a blade that offered ‘hope,’ ‘salvation,’ ‘protection,’ and ‘purification’ to all living things!"
"To be precise, it wasn't a ‘weapon’; it was an artifact capable of ‘saving’ millions and healing billions of lives simultaneously!"
Kehrid spoke of this specific sword with immense pride.
"It was a truly beautiful weapon; unlike ‘Vinash,’ even common people could grasp it without being harmed; at most, they simply couldn't tap into its power..."
"In fact, while I was forging it, I accidentally cut my finger putting ‘Vinash’ away, and when I touched ‘Astra,’ it healed me automatically without any activation required..."
Smiling slightly, Kehrid stroked his beard again and said,
"That weapon seemed to possess a bit of its own consciousness; it chose its own master and could even dull its edge if it wished to prevent others from getting hurt..."
"It was King Allen’s favorite! I believe he took it with him when he departed from this world... I have no clue where it is now..."
Rio found the description of such a weapon fascinating.
However, he had an instinctive feeling that even if he found that sword, it would never choose him, and he wouldn't be able to use it.
‘To be honest, a villainous blade like ‘Vinash’ is a much better fit for me...’
