Vritra activates his Blood Demon Transformation for the first time, turning his body intangible and unleashing blood knives that decimate a swarm of mutant bees and injure their queen, while tearing apart the fleeing humans' limbs and scaring a massive swallowing mutant back underground. As the group descends to travel on foot via a blood cart to avoid sky dangers, a system warning flashes about detected abnormalities and impending administrator intervention. Divine reveals that protectors from the World Bank have infiltrated the planet to capture Vritra, urging caution amid the escalating threats from mutants, players, and now these new foes, as a blonde woman sneaks in with a crazed gaze fixed on a distant figure.

"Sir, that's the Glasses base." Ming pointed it out, feeling a strong reluctance to head back there.

"I see. If we enter, will those folks stir up problems for us? What kind of individual is your leader?" Vritra inquired.

"Possibly a couple of them, since in this apocalypse, many humans have become fiends, after all." Ming responded, then continued:

"Regarding my leader, he's not overly wicked and possesses intelligence. I'll clarify the situation to him, so he ought to choose wisely." Ming added.

"Hmph. Why not just storm in and seize this spot? With our power, what could they possibly achieve?" Shitless boasted, displaying even greater arrogance since acquiring his two slaves.

The presence of those protectors now introduced numerous factors to weigh, and there could even be players lurking in this area.

"Guide us inside, and Shitless, stop fooling around." He commanded firmly.

"Oh hehe, alright, that was enjoyable." He chuckled, slipping the whip into his pocket.

They advanced toward the Glasses organization's base, which appeared to be a college campus reinforced with sturdy defenses on its walls.

"Halt!! State who you are!!" More than fifty guards positioned themselves atop the wall.

This base clearly housed a substantial population.

"I- I'm from the Glasses, and these individuals are accompanying me!! We require an audience with the boss." Ming yelled.

"Ming? The fellow known for his renowned wife?" One guard apparently recognized him.

"Y- Yes, that's me." Ming affirmed hastily, his face flushing with embarrassment.

The guards burst into laughter all at once, and then the gates swung open as several approached from within.

"Who might these people be? Why are they h-" Their words halted as they spotted the stunning women.

In a world already scarce on females, how could such exquisite ones exist?

They gazed in stunned silence, mirroring the typical response of others.

Vritra let out a sigh, stepped ahead, and declared: "I must discuss vital matters with your leader."

"Oh, and what might those be?" One guard shook his head while glaring at Vritra with menace.

"I learned you have an attribute mine here. I'd like to use it temporarily." Vritra stated calmly, his face unchanging.

"Wha- pfft hahahaha, did you catch that, brothers? He wants to borrow our mine? Haha, Ming, is that your reason for returning?" The guards erupted in laughter before their faces hardened with threat.

Vritra prepared to reply, but a sudden chill raced along his back, prompting him to scan upward and around swiftly.

Yet, nothing was there; moments ago, a sharp stare had definitely fixed on him.

Though no murderous aura emanated, the raw force sent shivers across his skin.

'Am I just picturing this? It has to be, doesn't it? Doesn't it?' He wished desperately.

"Ahem. Regardless, let's skip the unnecessary talk. Why not simply allow me to see your leader?" Vritra suggested.

"Heh, you think just anybody can meet our leader? This arrogant brat, relying on his looks to act all superior!! Should we snap your legs right in front of these lovely ladies?" Emboldened by the women present, the guards grew bolder.

They yearned to overpower Vritra and perhaps catch the women's attention.

'Sigh, if the sin system functioned as it once did, I'd rack up tons of sin points.' Vritra mused, truly averse to clashing with the whole base.

However, reflection showed it was unavoidable, given his need for their attribute mine.

No one would surrender such a treasure.

"Shitless, Onest, handle these guys. We're entering." Vritra instructed, grasping Yasmine's and Yennefer's hands as he proceeded.

"Feeling peckish?" He asked the dragoness.

"No," she answered, surveying the base surroundings.

Shitless morphed into a metallic figure, while Onest, the supreme thief, surged ahead.

The guards recoiled in surprise and moved to activate their powers.

But at that instant, Teresa enclosed them in box-shaped chambers, immobilizing them utterly.

The group pressed onward inside as Shitless and Onest rendered all the guards senseless.

Their arrival proved spectacular, drawing more and more residents rushing out.

Yasmine unleashed gentle spiritual pulses, causing the newcomers to collapse.

Meanwhile, Vanessa deployed her skill to ensnare others in mind-based deceptions, halting them at a distance.

Yennefer, Fiona, Diana, and Maeve held back, wary of accidentally slaying anyone.

Swaths of unconscious figures sprawled across the ground as the mere ten intruders advanced deeper.

Ming and Ergen trembled in fear, trailing quietly in the rear.

"Who's there?!!" A booming voice echoed as a burly man barreled out, lunging directly at Vritra.

"Is that the leader?" Vritra questioned, extending a finger that summoned a blood cord to seize the man.

"N- No, that's the vice leader." Ming stammered in terror.

"I see, pointless." Vritra flung him aside casually and kept moving.

This expansive college sheltered hundreds of inhabitants, though most cowered out of sight in fright.

"Who are you?" A figure hovering mid-air materialized overhead.

He wasn't truly levitating but stood on some unseen surface.

"Are you Glass?" Vritra queried, noting the leader's odd name of 'Glass'.

"Yes, what brings you here? Do you seek to duel me and claim this base?" Glass responded, resembling an ordinary college kid with heavy glasses perched on his nose.

That explained his moniker.

"Oh no no, we're not villains. We avoid such actions; our visit concerns a straightforward issue." Vritra denied, shaking his head.

Sigh…

Glass exhaled deeply in relief, glancing about to confirm everyone remained alive.

These intruders weren't malicious after all, unlike the raiders from past assaults.

"Alright, so what do you need?" He probed, easing up at the prospect of alliance, and relaxed.

"We merely require temporary access to your attribute mine, plus any attribute stones you've gathered from it. That's all." Vritra mentioned offhandedly.

"Oh just borrow- what?" Glass reeled from the brazen request, essentially demanding their prime asset.

"Uhm, since you're not thieves or evil, I can decline, correct? Any repercussions?" Glass ventured, knowing he couldn't relinquish the mine.

"Naturally, you're at liberty to refuse. As I mentioned, we're not stealing. I only need it briefly, and regarding repercussions, none exist. Just deny it, and we'll depart." Vritra assured with a sincere smile.

"…" Glass scowled, pondering if such benevolent souls truly existed. Perhaps the world hadn't fully descended into chaos yet.

"Yea, sorry, I really can- umph" Midway through his refusal, Glass's mouth sealed shut abruptly.

"You really can… allow us to borrow it? Then many thanks. Could we extend it beyond a day?" Vritra pressed.

"Hmmm Umph!!" He wagged his head vigorously, speechless and inexplicably unable to wield his power.

"Ah, so only one day? That's acceptable too. Thank you; you're a decent fellow." Vritra concluded, signaling Vanessa to retrieve details on the mine.

Their collective might sufficed to dominate an outfit like this.

'T- This man's a demon…' Ming and Ergen clung together, lamenting their misfortune in encountering this fiend.
