Vritra indulged in passionate nights with his wives, filling each one in turn as their enhanced endurance prolonged the encounters, leaving Teresa to observe before excusing herself to work on defensive preparations. Hours later, after resting and freshening up, Vritra revealed a special surprise for Yennefer, leading the group through a portal to a realm teeming with captured demons, including nearly all the demon lords. Touched by the gesture fulfilling her long-held grudge, Yennefer summoned a blade of thunder and unleashed devastating lightning upon them, beginning their torment as Vritra and some wives stepped away through another portal.

Beyond the portal, Jack dashed frantically while howling like a madman, yet solitude enveloped him completely.

Vritra had abducted him days earlier, and it felt as though he'd been utterly erased from everyone's memory.

"You coward, face me head-on if you've got the guts—quit these sneaky schemes!" He bellowed, flailing his fists and legs at nothing but empty space.

Jack suspected Vritra had pulled off some deceitful ploy on Fiona as well, but he vowed to do anything necessary to snap her out of it.

Right at that instant, a gateway ripped open, and three women emerged from it.

"!!!" Initially terrified, Jack's face lit up with sheer delight in a flash.

"Fiona, oh goddess a- and could that be Vritra's mother?" he pondered, then burst into joyful laughter. "You've come for me, haven't you? Here to rescue your hero? SOB, I knew I meant something special to you."

Fiona's face twisted into revulsion in an instant, and she recoiled a step.

"Why's this loser even present?"

"Fiona, it's Jack here—your goddess, you haven't forgotten me, have you? You're saving me now, aren't you? D- Don't say you've fallen for me too?" He froze, shocked by his own wild conclusions at first.

Then he chuckled and added: "Tough break, though—I'm head over heels for Fiona, but once we're hitched, I might consider you."

Clearly, his heroic exploits and rapid rise had enchanted even the goddess with his allure.

"Wow, check out this fool. You'd swear he was destined for a rubber ad gig.

And talk about a generational curse—can't fathom the agony your poor mom went through bringing you into this world." Vanessa remarked with a heavy sigh.

"Whoa, that hit hard." Diana commended.

"Heh, picking up tips from my sweet."

The trio of women chuckled while observing Jack's face, his shock and shame evident.

"H- How dare you lot!! You can't just spout nonsense—I swear I'm going to—" He merely lifted his right arm to intimidate Vanessa.

BOOM

Yet the very next instant, his whole limb burst into a gruesome spray of blood.

"If I were in your shoes, I'd watch myself before screwing up even worse." Vritra's voice echoed. They turned to see him stride through the portal.

A tense quiet hung for a beat, then Jack gripped his stump and wailed in torment, crimson gushing everywhere.

"Hmm, hey Jack, fancy bumping into you at the wedding." Vritra grinned, halting next to his three spouses.

"Ughhh, W- Who the heck are you? And Fiona, that's not even Vritra—why stick with him? Didn't Vritra kick the bucket?" Jack figured he could at least avenge himself on this impostor via the real Vritra.

"Haa, what an idiot—can't even piece it together." Vritra shook his head, and shortly after, his features shifted to his former look before snapping back.

"I'm Vritra." He declared flatly.

"W- What? Impossible—you're faking it. He died for sure." Jack's wound was already mending; he glanced desperately at Fiona, his sole hope for mercy.

"Believe what you want—it changes nothing. Oh, and Fiona's my bride." Vritra drew her in tight, planting a gentle peck on her soft crimson lips.

"Nooo, back off her! Fiona, he's tricking you!! Trust me—he's not who he claims. Fiona, I'm the true Jack."

Jack cried out in anguish, witnessing his longtime infatuation and beloved locked in a kiss with some other man.

"Ha, drop dead. There's just one guy in my heart, my darling here. Quit your fantasies—I never wanted you and shot down every advance you made."

Fiona snapped irritably, sealing her words with another kiss on Vritra's mouth.

"Goddess, y- you see through it all, don't you? He's the vile—" Jack yelled midway when Vritra yanked Diana near and claimed her lips as well.

"She's my wife too, heh." Vritra signaled next.

In a blink, Maeve, Yasmine, and Teresa appeared, positioning themselves by his side.

"Every one of these stunning beauties is my wife." Vritra eyed Jack, who teetered on the edge of insanity.

'Well, that's plenty of psychological damage for eyeing my women.'

Moments later, Maeve and the rest departed, isolating the pair.

"J- Just spare my life—what's your price? Y- You can keep Fiona and the others; don't end me." Jack pleaded. Survival meant he could grow powerful again.

And someday, he'd slaughter Vritra and—

But his scheming halted abruptly.

"Relax, I'm not ending you. Just here for a quick catch." With those words, Vritra produced a fishing rod.

He flung the hook at the baffled Jack, which vanished into the void directly over his skull.

Innumerable fine strands linked to him, and Vritra merely needed to snag the perfect one.

Though new to the technique, he swiftly located the correct filament.

His title as Husband of the Fate Reaver let him perceive those destiny lines and shielded him from Teresa's power.

"Got it." Vritra yanked the line fast, ripping the strand away with brute force.

"Aaaaaaah" Jack shrieked, as if his very mind were splitting apart.

Vritra tugged sharply and seized the hero's fate. Upon contact, it fused seamlessly into him.

Jack sensed an irreplaceable void opening inside him suddenly.

"What did you do?!! S- Something's gone!!" he howled.

Vritra paid no mind, hurling a minuscule dust-forged needle that shattered Jack's mana core on impact.

Agony intensified as gore flooded from the gash, his eyes, nostrils, and lips.

Vritra dabbed a droplet of blood, triggering…

[Blood lock activated.]

"As vowed, you're free to go. So savor whatever's left of your existence."

Before Jack could babble more, Vritra hurled him back to reality.

The portal hadn't sealed yet when a fresh one yawned beside Jack, catching Vritra off guard.

Seconds later, scores of tentacles surged forth.

"You cursed Baldy, I'll ravage you to oblivion—how dare you abandon me to become some exalted offering!!" A grotesque roar from Shorty boomed from within.

Then the transformed Shorty materialized.

Jack got dragged in without delay, his cries echoing wildly.

Witnessing that, Vritra merely sighed and dialed back the Blood Lock's intensity.

Stripped of his heroic aura, retribution hit Jack without mercy.

"Haa, one more loose end tied up. Just a single task left." He muttered before vanishing from the domain.

Yennefer had slain merely a fraction of the demons so far, dragging out their demise in torment.

Vritra felt no qualms, but he summoned the group nearer, prompting Yennefer to halt briefly and soar to his side.

"Once Yennefer wraps up, we're heading to an extraordinary spot. Get ready, my loves—something extraordinary lies in store." He announced, rubbing his hands eagerly to build anticipation.
