"Noooooooooo!!" Collapsing onto his knees, Jack unleashed a piercing scream, his heart shattering all over again.
All he could do was stare as his longtime crush locked lips in a heated embrace with some stranger. The deep affection flowing between them hit him hard.
'Fionaaa, what has he done to you? I- It must be some trick, I can still save her…' Barely managing to rise, Jack felt a surge of murderous rage in his chest.
In that instant, he desperately wished to end Vritra's life.
Over on the dance floor, Vritra's mouth explored Fiona's, their tongues brushing teasingly.
From the side of his vision, he spotted Jack and smirked to himself.
Pulling away from her lips, Vritra planted a kiss on her cheek before trailing his mouth down to her silky neck.
A soft moan escaped Fiona as Vritra drew back, her gaze locking onto his.
With a stunning smile lighting her features, she leaned in and captured his lips in a gentle kiss.
Another devastating strike landed on Jack. Now Fiona was even initiating the kiss with this man.
They swayed together for a few more moments, then Fiona smoothly switched spots with Diana, stepping over to join Yasmine and the rest.
'W- What is he…' Jack gaped in shock as the goddess's form molded against Vritra.
The scene unfolding before him seemed impossible. Surely the goddess couldn't have fallen for some deception or hypnosis too, could she?
Yet moments later, their mouths connected in a brief, intense kiss, with the stunning Diana responding eagerly.
Following that, Diana swapped places with Vanessa and exited the dance area.
"Honey, you sure know how to break him and make him jealous." Vanessa murmured, their noses brushing, bodies clinging close.
"He is asking for it." Vritra shook his head, then claimed his mother's lips in a deep kiss.
A muffled sigh slipped from Vanessa as she savored her son, their mouths sliding together and tongues intertwining.
Jack stood rooted in utter disbelief, frozen and unable to process the horror.
Right after Vanessa came Yasmine's moment. She let out a playful giggle, fully aware of her husband's scheme, and leaned in to kiss him first.
Every woman who had shared a kiss with Vritra was breathtakingly stunning, far surpassing any beauty from Earth.
And yet, they were all bound to him in romance?
Grasping Yasmine's hand, he led the way off the floor, his wives trailing behind.
He skipped kissing Teresa right there because her face hid behind a veil, even if it was merely an illusion.
Jack dropped to his knees once more. He sensed something terribly off, yet couldn't identify the issue.
Springing up, he dashed toward the group in a frenzy. His heart pounded like it might explode, overwhelmed by burning envy.
"Fiona, goddess, what has he done to you all? Why are you with him?" As he neared, Jack yelled out.
But at that very second, an announcement echoed through the hall.
"We will now be calling the groom on the stage." Shen delivered the words as usual, positioned next to a priest.
The very same priest from Teresa's wedding. Sweat poured down his face; he just wanted this ceremony done.
Shortly, a handsome young man began striding to the stage with his companions.
Vritra had no prior encounter with him, so he spared little notice.
Scanning the area, his awareness zeroed in on his foes. Oracle had returned, sporting a fresh ensemble this time.
"This is Jean Trant, the most outstanding young man in the entire world. He has defeated everyone in every competition, and I can say that no one else is better for my daughter than him." Shen declared, beaming with immense pride.
Vritra arched a brow. The youth held general rank and appeared skilled in combat.
'Well whatever, it is about time we start the real show.' He mused inwardly.
The young man himself radiated arrogance. He surveyed the room like everything and everyone bowed to him.
His family had already merged into the Fords, positioning him as a live-in son-in-law.
His eyes settled on Vritra. Though he'd wedded into a higher generation, their ages being close stirred a rivalry in Jean.
Sniffing disdainfully, he jabbed a finger at Vritra and beckoned him over.
'Sigh, some people just couldn't live in peace. He hasn't even become a Ford and already wants to fight me.' Vritra pondered, opting to brush him off.
"Why? WHY? Fiona, answer me, why this guy? I know you love me, he hypnotized you, right? Don't you recognize me, I am Jack! H- How can you just kiss…" Jack paid no mind to the wedding proceedings.
"Huh? Have you finally gone crazy? Of course I love him, and there has just been one person in my life, my husband." Fiona replied with a scowl, clinging to Vritra's arm.
"Wha-? How is that just one person? Weren't you with Vritra before and now him? How could you do this to me?" he demanded, tears streaming down his face.
"Whatever, don't disturb us. You look ugly and you stink. Go somewhere else. Any girl would rather remain single than be with you." Fiona dismissed him, turning away.
Jack gripped his chest tightly, his heart crushed beyond repair, yet he refused to accept the dismissal.
Meanwhile, Jean scowled at Vritra's indifference.
He bent toward a friend and whispered: "Isn't that Teresa's husband? Who are those women around him? What relation does he have with them?"
"Yes, he is Art Yate, and those women are Vanessa Arclis, Yasmine, Fiona Arclis, Diana Arclis and of course Teresa." The friend replied.
"Hah, so shameless. He is here and still mingling with other women, acting so proud. Let's show him his place." Jean said, jealousy gnawing at him.
The cause was plainly the vast contrast between Teresa and Tiny.
As Jean ascended the stage, Shen's voice boomed once more: "Now, let's call the most beautiful girl in the world, my daughter, Tiny Ford!!"
Cheers erupted loudly from the crowd, while dazzling fireworks lit up the sky.
Guests searched everywhere but failed to spot the bride.
Vritra turned to Teresa and murmured: "Where is this niece of yours? Is she not coming?"
Her attendance was key to his scheme, or how else could he truly torment Sir Giant mentally.
"Oh uhm, she is coming." Teresa indicated the heavens, and soon a figure appeared, her stature barely topping two feet.
Draped in an elaborate bridal gown, she appeared oddly out of place.
'Tiny for a reason, huh.' Vritra felt genuine astonishment. He hadn't realized the name described her so literally.
Jean glanced at his bride-to-be, who stood less than half his height, then shifted his view to Teresa, the epitome of beauty.
Fury and envy boiled in two hearts within the hall, both aimed squarely at Vritra as their common foe.
"Pfft." Vritra let out a light laugh, then aimed a thumbs-up at Jean and Tiny.
Indicating it was a perfect pairing from above.
"You!! Father, he insulted me. Call him here now to apologize or I won't go forward with this marriage." Abruptly, Jean turned to Shen and insisted.
He trusted the Fords' influence would render even Art powerless.
