Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 569 Crash Landing of a Con Man

Previously on Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill...
Following a grueling battle, Vritra performs a meticulous surgical procedure to extract and assimilate the Mana Core and heart of the defeated demi-god Drino. By utilizing his Titan race abilities and the Mutamorphis skill, he successfully integrates the organs into his own body to grant himself a temporary surge in battle prowess. After subduing the rampaging energy of the core, Vritra commands his Dark Knight wraith to begin the slow process of devouring Drino’s powerful soul for evolution. While stripping the demi-god of his remaining treasures and finishing him off, Vritra finally reaches his destination with a violent landing.

Utilizing his corrosive power, Vritra caused Drino's consciousness to shatter completely.

As his mind began to decay, Drino's physical vessel was soon left as a hollow shell. To be thorough, Vritra inspected the fallen man's inventory, ensuring no hidden contingency plans remained.

Being a demi god, Drino naturally possessed a vast collection of resources and artifacts.

Vritra discovered several items that could have facilitated Drino's resurrection and promptly obliterated them.

He moved the remaining spoils into his own storage for later appraisal, as he finally spotted a solid surface emerging in the distance.

Dissolving the platform of dust he had been resting upon, Vritra stood atop Drino's remains to absorb the force of the landing.

BOOOOOOM!!

The instant Drino's body struck the ground, it burst into countless fragments that scattered across the terrain.

These remains were quickly devoured by the persistent red flames Fiona had unleashed. This fire seemed truly inextinguishable.

Once Drino's corpse had vanished, Vritra scanned his new environment.

He found himself standing at the edge of a massive landmass floating in the middle of a void.

Enormous walls enclosed the area, and a grand gate loomed before him. Beyond this land, there was only an endless expanse of darkness.

"Where have I ended up?" Vritra mused, prompting a response from the Divine:

"Follow the path and remain silent. Do not answer his questions."

"Huh?" Vritra didn't even have time to complain before the massive gates creaked open.

A figure dressed in gleaming white armor descended from the sky and landed right in front of him.

It was... a gnome?

The diminutive figure eyed Vritra with suspicion, asking, "Who are you, and what brings you to the World Bank?"

'World Bank? Is this a vault where the most powerful beings store their Cultivation resources?' Vritra thought.

"Just lift your right hand slightly," the Divine commanded.

Vritra complied. Though the gnome didn't appear particularly strong, the armor he wore radiated a divine aura.

For a full minute, the gnome scrutinized Vritra's hand before tapping his own forehead.

"Ah, it finally clicked! It is you, demi god Zihong!" he exclaimed, his face lighting up with realization.

"It has been ages since your last visit; I barely recognized you. Has your physical form changed?"

"..." Vritra lowered his hand and kept quiet, his mind racing with a flurry of questions.

The gnome chuckled after a moment. "Hahaha, I suppose you found a treasure that enhanced your looks. You shouldn't keep such secrets to yourself!"

However, his tone shifted slightly as he asked, "But why does the Qi in your charged fist feel... different?"

Vritra: "..."

Silence remained the most effective tactic, as the talkative gnome seemed happy to provide his own explanations.

"I bet you've refined your ultimate technique, haha! I wasn't testing you, demi god Zihong, I was merely curious. Please, follow me inside..." The gnome gestured for Vritra to follow and turned around.

Meanwhile, Vritra was internally reeling. 'Zihong was a demi god?!'

Zihong was the individual from whom he had acquired the charged fist technique, which had eventually evolved into his Nuclear Fist.

Vritra’s knowledge of the man was limited; he only knew that Zihong had appeared suddenly and that his presence had forced all demons into hiding.

'Was this the real reason the demons fled? It wasn't just because of that one attack like I assumed. But why was he there? Is he still among the living?' Vritra wondered as he walked behind the rambling gnome.

"Sir, are you here for a withdrawal or a deposit?" the guide asked without pausing.

Vritra: "..."

Predictably, the gnome answered his own query after a brief pause.

"Hahaha, again, I am just joking, not testing you! It is not our business to pry; you are free to do as you please within your private locker."

Once they passed through the gates, Vritra beheld a structure so colossal it could house dozens of cities.

The building appeared ancient, with visible cracks in the masonry, yet it felt incredibly robust.

Vritra had expected to see only gnomes, but the thousands of guards belong to many different races.

A few of them even possessed the power of a demi god.

Vritra marveled at the potential treasures hidden here. He felt a brief impulse to raid every locker, but he quickly suppressed it.

With his current level of Cultivation, he couldn't hope to challenge this institution.

'Are only demi gods allowed to use this bank?' Vritra asked internally.

"No, many gods and even higher existences maintain accounts here. The security you see is merely the tip of the iceberg. Not even a true god would dare commit a robbery here," the Divine explained.

'But isn't that exactly what we're doing? Playing the part of a con man to steal...' Vritra felt a surge of anxiety. With such extreme security, wasn't capture inevitable?

He asked, 'If I am caught, what is the penalty? Imprisonment or immediate execution?'

"It is better if you don't know. The punishment is far worse than death. Just keep your mouth shut and you will be fine," the Divine replied, figuratively shaking his head.

As they entered the main building, Vritra felt hundreds of sharp, searching gazes fall upon him.

"Demi god Zihong, I am truly impressed that you still wield such power. Rumors claimed you were trapped on a planet called Zoratian. I suppose they were just lies," the gnome remarked before asking:

"Was that Drino, the level 3 demi god, that you just finished off? I knew someone formidable had arrived the moment you touched down."

The lingering scent of a slain demi god was clearly what had convinced them of Vritra's false identity.

Vritra began to realize just how long the Divine had been orchestrating these events.

Even obtaining that specific technique seemed to be a calculated move.

It felt as though his entire journey since arriving in this world—from the death zone to meeting Yasmine—had been scripted by others.

'Is Zihong actually dead? If not, where is he?' Vritra wondered. Inside, he saw thousands of floating corridors crisscrossing the air.

The layout looked chaotic, yet it functioned with perfect precision.

"Allow me to lead you to your vault," the gnome said, pausing before one of the moving walkways.

The Divine finally answered his question: "Zihong is alive, but he is bound by the laws of that planet. He remains imprisoned there. You essentially snatched his legacy from right under his nose."

'...Oh. Why did he go there anyway? To hunt for Wifey and Tess?' Vritra inquired.

The gnome stepped onto a platform linked to the corridor. Vritra followed, and they began to glide forward.

The entire walkway moved with them, albeit at a measured pace.

"No, his target wasn't my sisters. He wanted my unique traits, the Sin Wheel, and clues regarding the first mythic halo," the Divine revealed.

'I see.' Vritra and his guide continued their journey through the web of paths.

He saw a few others heading toward their own vaults; apparently, no one below the demi god rank was permitted entry.

Several guards stopped them for verification, but the gnome’s constant explanations allowed Vritra to pass without speaking a word.

After several minutes, the platform came to a stop.

"This way, sir. Your locker, number 1621, is just ahead," the gnome chirped, continuing his tireless chatter.

After navigating more security checkpoints and walking for a few minutes, they reached the destination.

Because Vritra had recently utilized the Nuclear Fist, the residual aura was enough to convince everyone he was indeed Zihong.

They halted before a massive, circular metal door. The gnome pointed to it and said, "Sir Zihong, may I have the key to your vault?"

Vritra: "..."

'What key? Divine, do I have such a thing? I don't think silence will work this time,' Vritra thought, maintaining a stern expression.

"Sir? Did you perhaps forget to bring it?" The gnome's demeanor shifted, and he looked at Vritra with growing doubt. Locker owners never misplaced their keys.

Forgetting it was nearly impossible, making the possibility of an impostor very likely.

"You have it," the Divine finally spoke. Suddenly, a stone emerged from Vritra's inventory and dropped into the gnome's hand.

'What?! Zengis was the key this whole time?' Vritra was stunned. The gnome nodded, placed Zengis onto a stone pedestal, and the massive gate began to cycle open.

"There we go, sir. Here is your key back. My apologies for the suspicion, but many try to gain access through fraudulent means," the gnome said with a booming laugh as he returned Zengis.

Vritra let out a silent sigh. Had even his closest companion been a plant by the Divine?

"Please, enter. I shall wait out here, unless you'd prefer I accompany you to see your treasures?" The gnome looked hopeful, but Vritra met him with only cold silence.

As Vritra stepped into the cavernous room, the heavy metal door sealed shut behind him.

"Phew. What is actually happening? Why are we in a bank?" Vritra finally spoke aloud.

He looked around the room, seeing various objects protected behind shimmering energy barriers.
