Paragon Of Sin Chapter 1978 Chapter 1970: The Eye's Objective
The Outer Stellar Battlefield of War lay under a heavy shroud of conflict.
The howling winds of agony and despair carried the pungent scent of fresh blood across the desolate landscape. Like the watchful gaze of a divinity, Death loomed everywhere, striking without warning while mortals fought desperately against the inevitable. This ruthless theater of war was no place for the timid; it was a graveyard that deterred both cunning merchants and fair maidens alike.
Yet, standing among a field of corpses was a woman who had once been both: Ma Sujiang! Her battle-scarred face told the story of her harrowing ordeals, while her sharp, vigilant eyes reflected the tragedies born of a single moment's carelessness. She wiped a smear of blood from her cheek and spat a glob of congested phlegm onto the face of a fallen human male.
Once the cherished daughter of the Golden Life Pavilion, she now stood surrounded by the bodies of Ascended beings. These past few years had served as the most intense period of adversity and growth in her life. She had witnessed the rise of true Cultivation geniuses and the near-miraculous capabilities of both a Seer and an Alchemist.
“Take this,” a valiant figure clad in dull, soft golden armor said, passing her a crystalline waterskin. Ma Sujiang accepted the container with practiced ease, drinking deeply as the nourishing elixir within began to restore her depleted mystic energies.
“My thanks, Mingna.” After consuming enough to begin her recovery, Ma Sujiang returned the waterskin. Her gaze drifted toward the firmament, where a fierce struggle between Ascended beings raged despite the crushing pressure of the Battlefield. Having only recently retreated from that high-altitude zone of slaughter, she was well-acquainted with the necessity of descending to the lower levels for respite.
Wen Mingna noted the remaining liquid in the waterskin before securing it at her waist. She looked toward the sky, where two cultivators favored by destiny were battling multiple foes. They dominated the theater of war, appearing as peers to none as they challenged the heavens themselves.
Exhaling a heavy, weary breath, Ma Sujiang spoke with conviction. “They will finish them.”
Wen Mingna remained silent, her eyes fixed on the tempest of mystic force and power above. The two Blessed, San Yongli and Tian Yinwu, were allowing their karmic fortune to guide them as they clashed with a group of savage killers. Despite being only at the Mystic Star Phase, these enemies possessed vast and dense auras of sin.
Only a few years had passed since the emergence of the Defiant-sized Solar Star. Using a subspace within their camp—a sanctuary protected from the Battlefield’s suppression—the duo had successfully advanced to the Mystic Star Phase, the initial stage of the Mystic Ascendant Realm. Now serving as joint Commanders, they were supported by Tian Xiaolu and the elven alchemist from the Battlefield of Order, Qingye Ying.
The cost of their progress had been high; Ma Sujiang herself had already faced death twice. Many allies had fallen permanently, saved only when Creation Value was spent to trigger temporal reversions for resurrection. While Wen Mingna had yet to experience death, she had no intention of starting now.
Their small circle had expanded into a massive Legion as the two Blessed recruited extraordinary allies from across the stars. Their natural charisma, which allowed them to command the loyalty of geniuses in this blood-soaked environment, was a remarkable gift. Furthermore, they knew exactly how to exploit every advantage.
Recently, a rival group of Commanders had targeted them, leading to several casualties. Had it not been for the alchemical brilliance of Qingye Ying and Tian Xiaolu, those losses would have been final. Now, the blood feud was reaching its climax. San Yongli and Tian Yinwu had executed a brilliant counter-strategy, luring every enemy Commander into a lethal trap.
Simultaneously, they coordinated with their alchemists to strike the enemy Creationists, ensuring no resurrections could occur. They were pitiless in their execution, and the sky turned a dark shade of crimson from the blood of their despairing foes.
Wen Mingna formed a hand-seal, catching a thread of fate to peer into the coming moments. As she anticipated, the result was Victory. Satisfied, she waited for the end. As if responding to her silent wish, a thunderous roar of rage shook the heavens as fire and sword light merged in a perfect strike. The final, dying scream of a Highlord of Mysticism echoed through the air.
As the chaos subsided, two figures of ethereal beauty and magnificent bearing descended from the clouds. They were followed by a contingent of Mystic Ascendant Realm cultivators who had assisted in the purge.
Offering a smile, Wen Mingna handed the crystalline waterskin to San Yongli. There was no need to ask for the result; she could feel the surge in their karmic valuation, earned by eradicating those the Heavenly Daos viewed as condemned sinners. They had fulfilled a heavenly task by wiping out those blights upon the commandments.
Tian Yinwu looked toward Wen Mingna. This Heavenly Seer had been vital in finding allies and securing great fortunes. Her presence confirmed his belief that a solid Cultivation path required the support of a master Alchemist and a skilled Seer. “Your intuition was correct, Seer Wen. They never sensed us coming and walked straight into their own grave.”
San Yongli drank deeply from the waterskin, feeling her strength return. “Now that this is settled, do we push forward?”
Tian Yinwu gave a firm nod. He surveyed his growing army, a force composed of top-tier talents that had evolved into something formidable.
“We move. Our next destination is the Nexus Battlefield.” Following his lead, the legion began organizing into a traveling formation.
Suddenly, Wen Mingna paused. Her eyes shimmered with a mysterious light as she stared at a nearby area, a faint, nearly invisible smile touching her lips.
“Is there a problem?” San Yongli asked, noticing the shift. Wen Mingna quickly regained her neutral, pleasant composure.
“Nothing is wrong,” she replied. “I simply saw someone.”
“Someone?” San Yongli looked toward the empty space but saw nothing at all.
“They haven't arrived yet, but they will.” Her cryptic response was typical of a Seer’s foresight, so San Yongli simply accepted the vague answer and turned away.

Wei Wuyin stood on the very spot Wen Mingna had gazed upon, though he existed in a time far in the future. By using his Temporal Eye to look back at past events, he realized she had detected his presence through the ripples of time. It was a staggering display of her mastery over divination.
He hadn't been trying particularly hard to hide his presence, however. 'Am I too late?' Wei Wuyin had expected to find Wen Mingna here, but she had already departed for the Nexus Battlefield with the others.
In the background, Tilly Winehart looked nervous. Although she wasn't breaking any laws by bringing him here, she remained extremely cautious.
Just as Wei Wuyin prepared to leave—much to Tilly's relief—to head toward the Outer Stellar Battlefield of Order, he caught a familiar golden shimmer and a specific scent. He scanned the area and quickly found the source.
In an instant, he appeared beside a broken sword. His expression shifted dramatically as he extended his spiritual sense into the weapon. “She...”
He reached out, extracting a tiny speck of condensed golden light from the blade and tucking it into his Primordial Expanse. The light hovered there, radiating a heavenly purity unlike anything he had ever encountered. It far surpassed the Microheavens he had handled before. It wasn't even a close comparison!
‘Is this... a fragment of heaven?’
He thought of Wen Mingna’s mission.
Suddenly, Element, Athena, and the Bai Xius became incredibly restless. A primal hunger erupted from within their Existential Frameworks. Despite being no larger than a grain of sand, the golden speck triggered an intense reaction from them.
“Hahaha! Well done, girl!” Wei Wuyin let out a boisterous laugh. Even he wouldn't have dared to claim this piece, yet she had managed to extract it, hide it, and keep it safe for his arrival. What an incredible woman!
“You truly intend to give me a massive surprise, don't you?”
