My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 686: Dravon Is Here
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
"How dare you?" the demon growled, his composure finally shattering into genuine fury. It was evident he never anticipated our resistance, much less a counterattack of this nature.
Aurora let out a mocking snort.
"No," she replied with a freezing tone, "how dare you. You cowardly demon. To think you’d hide behind your numbers and rank just to strike at a Grandmaster."
She moved before anyone could process her words.
In a mere heartbeat, she had closed the distance. Her index finger surged forward, pressing into his forehead just deep enough to draw a scarlet bead of blood while lightning danced against his flesh.
The demon became a statue.
His eyes stretched wide as arrogance was replaced by sheer terror. He stayed perfectly still, not even daring to take a full breath.
"Move," Aurora murmured, her voice sounding both tranquil and lethal, "and I’ll ensure that filthy brain of yours is vaporized instantly."
The response from the fleet was immediate.
All around us, the warships adjusted their positions. Systems shrieked as they pivoted, turning their focus away from Primus to lock onto Aurora and her captive. The glow of the cannons intensified. The void was thick with tension.
I observed the scene without stirring, my senses calmly monitoring every vessel, every shift in Essence, and every weapon primed for release.
"Well," I finally remarked, a faint smirk touching my lips, "I believe that situation was resolved quite elegantly."
"Now," Aurora continued steadily, her finger still anchored to the demon’s brow, "as we previously stated, we have arrived at the invitation of Dravon Emberlord. Contact him. Immediately."
For a second, the demon’s fear wavered, but he forced himself to stay firm. His jaw set tight, and he forced out a jagged laugh.
"Do you realize the gravity of your actions?" he spat through clenched teeth. "This is sovereign demon territory. You presume to assault us here? With a single command from me, these vessels will wipe you from existence."
I clicked my tongue in annoyance. He was merely stalling.
I lifted my hand.
The void responded to my call.
Throughout the encircling fleet, emergency lights began to flash frantically. Alarms wailed as every system suffered a simultaneous failure. Massive warships, once perfectly positioned, started to shudder; their hulls groaned under a crushing force that originated from within rather than without.
The demon’s eyes bulged.
"What are you doing?" he screamed. "Cease this! Stop at once!"
Aurora offered a smile that looked almost kind.
"I’m not the one doing anything," she remarked airily. "You’ve simply angered the boss."
Slowly, I closed my fingers into a fist.
Space began to warp.
The sound of screaming metal filled the vacuum.
One after another, the surrounding vessels started to buckle, their heavy armor folding as if gripped by a titan's hand. Weapons snapped like twigs. Engines collapsed into themselves. Large portions of the hulls were compressed into jagged spheres of junk.
Total chaos broke out inside the ships.
Hatches were blown open as demons abandoned their posts, hurling themselves into the emptiness. They activated desperate flight techniques just to avoid being crushed in the wreckage. Ship after ship was transformed into drifting debris, floating aimlessly through the stars.
Only the primary command ship remained untouched.
The demon facing Aurora watched in absolute horror, his bravado entirely extinguished.
"Stop... please," he pleaded, his voice cracking as he stared toward our vessel, searching for me. "I will contact Dravon. I promise. Just end this!"
I relaxed my hand.
The carnage ceased instantly.
An eerie silence reclaimed the void, disturbed only by the fading echoes of alarms from the ruins and the heavy, ragged breaths of the demons floating in the cold dark.
I spoke, and my voice resonated through the very fabric of space, reaching every ear present.
"You have ten seconds," I declared flatly. "If Dravon does not appear by then, I will slaughter every one of you."
"Are you truly going to kill them all?" North whispered at my side, her gaze fixed on the demons drifting helplessly outside.
I didn't give an immediate reply.
My attention remained on the Transcendent demon, who was now frantically trying to reach Dravon, his voice hoarse as he screamed into his communication channels, broadcasting signal after signal.
"I will if it becomes necessary," I finally said.
For a fleeting moment, I recalled the choice I had made long ago, when I executed the Ronic ancestor and shifted the blame to the Del Reys without a second thought. The burden of that act hadn't faded; I had simply grown accustomed to the weight.
North peered at my face for a moment longer, searching for a hint of hesitation.
She found none.
Giving a single nod, she remained silent.
The void began to vibrate.
Just as it had before, the space in front of us rippled. A new vessel emerged from the distortion.
Though smaller than the massive command ship, it was heavily fortified, its hull displaying the horned crest of the Demon Monarch. Its engines hummed steadily as it came to a stop at a respectful distance, clearly avoiding any provocation.
The atmosphere shifted. Three figures stepped out into the vacuum.
They were all demons—the same group that had visited Armus. Dravon, the quiet Korvath, and the erratic Mazikeen.
Dravon scanned the area, taking in the floating debris, the panicked survivors, and the decimated fleet. His eyes paused briefly on Aurora.
"I am Dravon Emberlord," he announced, his voice carrying clearly through the emptiness. "And I was informed that my name was being invoked rather loudly."
The surrounding demons seemed to exhale in relief, as if Dravon’s mere presence had rescued them from the brink of the grave.
"Oh, Dravon, you've finally arrived," Aurora said brightly, pulling her finger away from the demon’s head. She gave a small stretch, her murderous intent vanishing as if it were a dream. "Just as you asked, we’ve come to see you."
Dravon, who had looked so formidable a moment ago, stumbled.
The pressure of his aura flickered and died away completely. He blinked in confusion, staring at Aurora as if he were seeing a ghost.
"You..." he muttered slowly. "You are the elemental."
"Bingo," Aurora said with a wide smile.
She then glided forward, appearing instantly before the three of them. Without a hint of hesitation, she approached Mazikeen and softly rested her hand against the demon girl’s cheek, like an old friend offering a greeting.
"Mazikeen, honey, have you been doing well?" Aurora asked with genuine warmth. "I hope Dravon isn't overworking you too much."
Mazikeen stood frozen.
Her face turned a vivid shade of crimson as she began to stammer, completely caught off guard by the sudden intimacy.
