My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 680: Done With The Ritual

Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
North successfully completes her transformation during the Blood and Fire Ritual, emerging with a refined physique and a deeper understanding of her combat style. After being pulled into the pocket space, she learns that the world core of Armus has been seized and connected to her ally’s Essence. Her evolution manifests through new Major Laws and the Zero-Loss Movement Body ability, which perfects her kinetic efficiency. Equipped with the devastating Rolling Death Spiral skill, she prepares to test her newfound power as the ritual continues for the remaining demons.

Steve was the first of the duo to conclude his meditation.

Opening his eyes, he released a slow breath and stood up with an air of nonchalance. I didn't waste any time, immediately pulling him into the pocket space.

"What’s wrong with you, man?" he snapped the second he laid eyes on me, his face twisted with irritation at the abrupt teleportation.

I let out a chuckle. "Nothing’s wrong with me. That’s just one of the perks of being powerful." I hesitated for a moment, then flashed a grin. "Actually... since you’re already annoyed, let me give you another ride."

I snapped my fingers.

In a flash, he vanished.

"I will kill you, Billion," Steve’s voice drifted back to me, thick with rage as I sent him soaring through the sky.

"Oh? Still not learning your place?" I countered with a calm tone. "All right. Here we go again."

Another snap.

I plunged him directly into a private pool within the capital, leaving him completely submerged.

"How do you like the temperature?" I questioned, my voice vibrating directly inside his mind.

He struggled for a few seconds before hauling himself out of the pool, drenched and seething with anger.

"Damn it," he hissed, glaring at the empty air. "You really want to do this?"

I arched an eyebrow. "Wow. You really never learn, do you?" Once more, I snapped my fingers.

This time, I buried him waist-deep into the earth.

Finally, he let out a sharp, defeated exhale. A forced, strained smile stretched across his face.

"Okay," he muttered through grit teeth. "I get it. I’m an idiot. Now can you stop this? I’m going to vomit if you keep spinning me around."

I gave a nod. "Fair enough."

With a mere thought, I summoned him back into the pocket space.

He stood before me, dripping with water and coated in dust, maintaining that same forced but seemingly calm smile.

"So," I inquired, "how did it go?"

"Not great," he confessed. "Fire comprehension worked, obviously. But I don’t want it. As for the blood, it did something, I got a small boost to my constitution. That’s about it."

I nodded in understanding. Steve’s physique, the Black Volt Skeleton, was centered around lightning. It was only natural that elements like fire and blood would have a negligible effect on him. He would benefit far more from lightning treasures or environments aligned with his element.

"All right," I remarked. "North gained a new ability. But I guess this ritual just wasn’t meant for you."

He nodded, his gaze wandering until it locked onto the world core and the crimson drop suspended at its center.

"So this is the world core you were talking about?" he asked.

I nodded and elaborated on the blood drop and its significance in the ritual.

He stroked his chin in thought. "You know... I think we could take more than just a few drops from that thing. We helped Armus a lot, you know."

"Not happening," I replied instantly. "I want these demons to grow stronger. Besides, your body is already saturated. More of the same won’t help you."

He gave a shrug. "If you say so." Then he turned his gaze back to me. "So, when are we leaving?"

"As soon as Primus finishes," I answered. "We’ll head to Shenzhou first, then move on to the rift."

His blue eyes glittered with a sharp intensity. "Are you excited?"

I gave a slow nod. "Yes. We’re finally going to face the Eternals." I went silent as various thoughts raced through my head.

"I...," I began, but then cut myself off.

"I what?" Steve urged.

I shook my head. "Nothing. Part of me wants to rush in and massacre the first Eternal I see. The other part wants to be careful, to think through every step." I sighed. "We’ll see when we get there. But we need to stay alert. The System still hasn’t made its move."

Steve rested a hand on the hilt of his blade.

"The System..." he whispered. "I wonder what it’s like to have it as an enemy or a friend. I don’t like how neutral it pretends to be."

"It isn’t neutral," I stated softly. "It’s biased, just not toward us. Its strongest pawns get everything. We’re still too small to make real waves." I narrowed my eyes. "But one day, that will change. Don’t you think so, System?"

A notification materialized before my eyes.

[Observation Status: Active]

I let out a small laugh at the message.

Steve caught the reaction.

"...You got something, didn’t you?" he asked.

I gave a single nod. "Yeah."

"What kind of something?"

I displayed the notification to him and said, "That means we’re no longer background noise."

Steve glanced at the screen and snorted. "For sure. We just changed an entire world’s structure. We deserve some observation." He paused, his eyes turning sharp. "But this is nothing. We’ll make real waves once we hit the Ferans and the Nagas. Or maybe when we end up on a frontline against the Eternals."

I nodded, in total agreement with his sentiment.

At that moment, Primus began to stir.

He opened his eyes gradually, and as he exhaled, a long stream of fire billowed from his nose, swirling into the air before vanishing.

"Nice," I remarked.

I could sense the change clearly. His comprehension had surged, and his affinity with fire had reached new depths. The element seemed to cling to him instinctively, lingering close and reacting as if he were the true master among all the demons present.

"Primus is done," I announced. "Let’s go."

Without waiting for a response, I folded space and teleported the three of us back into Primus’s private quarters.

"Damn it," Steve grumbled as we arrived, though he refrained from complaining further this time.

Primus blinked repeatedly, then broke into a short laugh. "Shit... that was cool," he said, scanning the room as if expecting the environment to shift once more.

"See Steve? He understands it," I said, extending my hand toward Primus.

He grinned and bumped his fist against mine. "Yeah. I like that. I really wish I had it too."

"Just get lost," Steve said flatly, sinking into a stone chair.

"Anything new, other than what we expected?" I asked Primus.

"Nope," he answered. "Mostly affinity growth, my laws evolved, and a few points in strength."

I nodded. "Good. So everything’s ready?"

"Yeah," Primus said. "We’ll go meet Jarul’s son first. I’ve packed everything in my storage ring. I already said goodbye to Lara." His expression darkened slightly. "I told her I’m going to bring her mother back."

Steve gave him a sidelong glance. "You actually want to do that? I thought you’d just kill her."

"No," Primus stated calmly. "She’ll fulfill her duty as a mother. I promised Lara."

"And how exactly are you planning to convince her?" Steve inquired.

Primus’s lips curled into a lingering grin. "Convince?" He shook his head. "Who said anything about convincing her?" He looked at Steve. "You know that I’m a demon right."

Steve stared at him for a beat, then leaned back into his seat. "Yeah... I forgot that part."
