My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 650: Farming Abominations
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
A constant stream of notifications had been chiming in the back of my mind since the moment I began slaying the phantoms. I brushed them aside for the time being, focusing instead on the new summon standing before me.
At first glance, her appearance was human, yet subtle traits proved she was anything but. Tiny arcs of lightning flickered within her eyes like miniature storms. Beneath her pale skin, delicate blue veins would glow briefly every few seconds before vanishing. Her aura felt tranquil and steady—almost comforting—which was peculiar given that she had been a phantom merely moments prior.
As I observed her, she suddenly spoke.
"Thank you."
Her voice possessed a smooth, gentle quality, carrying a quiet warmth that reminded me of a patient teacher instructing a bewildered pupil. The words caught me off guard.
"Thank you?" I repeated, feeling confused.
"Yes. I am grateful to you for liberating me from the grasp of the Eternals," she replied, her tone sounding entirely earnest.
I blinked in surprise. That was not the response I had anticipated. By using the word "grasp," she implied she was conscious of her former corruption and her transformation into a phantom.
"You have your memories?" I inquired slowly.
She shook her head in negation.
"No. My identity and my past self are lost to me. However, I am aware that I was a transcendent at the time of my death... and I recall fragments. Blurred images. Sensations." She hesitated for a moment before continuing, "But looking at myself now, I can see I am no longer a thrall to the Eternals. Instead... I am yours."
The sheer composure with which she said this nearly stunned me.
"I can sense the bond," she added. "I know that I am unable to disobey you. But you are not an Eternal. Furthermore, I witnessed you cutting down the other phantoms without a second thought. Because of that... this is a better fate."
I looked at her, torn between laughing and sighing. Better?
From her point of view, she had simply exchanged one master for another. Yet, she spoke with such conviction and serenity that I found it impossible to argue.
"So you truly remember nothing of your history? Not a name, nor your home world?" I asked.
Once more, she shook her head.
"Nothing. Only the fact that I was an elemental. And strangely... I feel no desire to know my past." Her gaze softened as she moved closer. "I am, however, curious about you. Your essence is unfamiliar. I do not recognize your race. From where do you hail?"
A faint smile touched my lips.
"In time, you will learn everything. But first, you require a name. Do you have a preference?"
She lifted a finger to her chin, closing her eyes in thought. Her eyebrows knit together slightly as she pondered, an expression that somehow enhanced her beauty.
I quickly averted my gaze and waited.
After a few moments, she opened her eyes.
"I believe... I wish to be called Aurora."
"Aurora," I murmured. "Very well. It suits you."
I gestured toward the stronghold.
"Alright, Aurora. I will handle the abominations. Your task is to enter the fortress and detain everyone working inside. Avoid killing them unless it becomes necessary."
She gave a single nod, a small smile playing on her lips.
"With pleasure."
A faint shimmer of light danced around her form, and in a heartbeat, Aurora was gone, leaving nothing but a slender trail of blue light in her wake.
I let out a soft chuckle.
"Oh... Knight’s reputation as the fastest in our group is about to be threatened."
As she made her way into the fortress, I stepped forward and shifted my position, reappearing high in the dark, void-like sky of the asteroid. From this vantage point, the entire terrain was laid out below me.
A massive ocean of abominations, numbering nearly a million, swarmed the surface like a plague of insects. They moved with twitchy, erratic motions, deathmist seeping from their maws as they roamed without the guidance of the phantoms.
I decided it was time to bring North and Steve here. They needed the opportunity to farm some levels as well.
Flashing back to the teleportation gate, I punched the coordinates for Armus into the runic interface and stepped through. The world blurred into ribbons of color, and within seconds, I was once again hovering in the skies above Horus.
I went straight to the pair, explained our destination, and shortly after, we all returned to the asteroid.
"Man... this is insane," Steve whispered, staring down at the endless carpet of abominations crawling over the stone like vermin.
North’s eyes shimmered with excitement. "This is perfect. I’m ready. When do we begin?"
"You can start right now," I told them with a smile.
She didn't hesitate for a second, launching herself forward like a projectile and diving headlong into the horde.
Steve smirked as sparks began to dance across his skin. "Yeah, I'm in too. Catch you later."
With a booming crackle of black and blue lightning, he disappeared—plummeting into the center of the abominations like a falling star.

Two hours passed before the two finally slumped over from sheer exhaustion. Both had managed to significantly thin the ranks of the abominations on the asteroid. Deciding to mop up the survivors, I returned to my position in the sky above the fortress.
Individually, these creatures were pathetic, nothing like the phantoms I had fought, but their sheer numbers meant the total rewards would be... quite satisfying. Furthermore, one of the system quest goals was explicit:
Slay Abominations.
The fortress sat far beneath me, its dark obsidian walls still intact. I took care not to damage it, as the teleportation gate within was my only direct link back to Armus.
Pressing my palms together, I allowed my perception to ripple outward. My senses swept across the asteroid like a physical wave. Every fissure in the rock, every crater, and every shadowed ravine manifested in my mind with absolute clarity. The entire floating stone was laid bare before me.
Tapping into my Major Law of Elemental Convergence, I whispered my command.
Fire manifested first, howling silently in the vacuum as it formed a flawless ring beneath my feet. Lightning followed, weaving itself into a second halo directly above the first.
I channeled Essence into both constructs.
The two rings vibrated violently... and then fused together.
At the intersection of flame and lightning, a third ring emerged—massive, chaotic, and radiating pure destructive intent. Bolts of electricity writhed across its surface while fire spiraled in tandem. The energy hummed with a suppressed intensity, a roar waiting to be unleashed.
I threw my hands wide.
The ring reacted instantly.
It began to expand, initially resisting and groaning under the pressure, before—
It exploded outward.
A colossal boom vibrated through the asteroid as the ring surged away from me, a titanic shockwave of merged fire and lightning. The fortress directly below remained shielded, but everything else was consumed.
The wave swept across the surface, a flaming circle of total annihilation racing toward the horizon.
The abominations didn't even have the chance to scream.
The moment the expanding wall of elemental energy reached them, their forms erupted into blood and deathmist, which vaporized on the spot. Entire legions vanished in a heartbeat. Tens of thousands were wiped out in seconds. The shockwave continued to grow, slicing through the army like a blade of the gods.
Valleys were turned white-hot. Ridges were ground down into molten glass. Every shadow was incinerated. The entire surface of the rock burned with the intensity of a newborn sun.
The ring raced on—gaining speed and brilliance with every passing second until it reached the asteroid's furthest reaches, where the wave slammed into the outer rim and surged upward like a wall of fire.
Then, there was only silence.
The ring of fire and lightning flickered one last time before dissolving into fading sparks.
The entire surface of the asteroid was now desolate.
Not a single abomination had survived.
A flood of system notifications rushed into my mind, filling my head with the sound of ringing bells.
I let out a long, slow breath.
"That was truly beautiful," I heard Aurora whisper as she materialized behind me.
