My Celestial Ascension Chapter 878 878: Spiritual Zone

Previously on My Celestial Ascension...
Corvan reported to the God King that all gods sent to the Elven Kingdom were slaughtered by a mortal, whom he described as a monster wielding a terrifying power called "Killing Intent." The God King was horrified by this revelation and sought to understand the new threat. Meanwhile, Yuan and his companions prepared to leave the Elven Kingdom, packing their belongings and discussing their upcoming journey to the Demonic Continent, where they planned to face powerful supernatural races. After Kitsura's return, they departed, unaware that they were being watched.

"They've departed from the Elven Kingdom. Every single one of them is on the move, but we can't pinpoint their trajectory."

[What?! What do you mean you can't determine it?! People don't just vanish into thin air! Stop giving me excuses, Team Alpha! Do you hear me?!]

A roar of fury burst from the magical communication device, sounding both piercing and authoritative.

"There is no mistake—the targets literally vanished in a heartbeat. They disappeared right in front of our eyes, and their current location is a total mystery." The man clad in black gear answered, his gaze sharp and his countenance grim.

His hands shook as he tightened his grip on the magical communicator, his knuckles turning pale from the sheer force of his hold.

'Dammit! How am I supposed to track where that bastard went?! This is maddening!' he hissed internally, his eyes reddening with sheer irritation as he gnashed his teeth.

[I don't care about your methods! I only care about results. Even if you have to scour every inch of the Beast Continent, find out where he and his wives have gone—now!] the enraged voice bellowed.

"Understood, Your Highness... we will do everything in our power to track them down." The man replied after a brief pause, and the connection was instantly severed.

"Hah... this is incredibly draining..." he exhaled once the call ended, his face etched with fatigue.

"Leader, what is our next move? We have lost the trail, and with no knowledge of their destination... tracking them will be a nightmare," a subordinate noted, his gravelly voice laced with anxiety.

"He's right, Leader... how can we find him on a continent of this scale? He could be anywhere by now," another complained.

'I should have turned down this assignment... why was I so quick to agree to watch over that monster?' he cursed himself in silence.

After regaining his composure, he turned to his subordinates and declared, "Choice isn't an option. Since we took this mission, we have to finish it, no matter what."

"Request reinforcements. We need more eyes to pull this off. If we have to, press-gang some mortals to bolster our numbers," he commanded sternly.

"As you command, Leader. We will put the mortals to work," the subordinate replied.

A moment later, the squad departed, vanishing into the forest shadows without leaving a single footprint behind.

The ocean appeared serene at first glance, the bright weather casting a cheerful mood over the port city. At the docks, numerous sailors were busy preparing their vessels to depart.

The city was a hive of activity, with beast-people bustling about as trade flourished; profit was the main pursuit as ships docked, laden with rare and exotic fish.

Yuan and his wives had arrived at the harbor recently, questioning the locals regarding the bizarre weather patterns occurring a few miles offshore.

Not far from the docks, the weather turned chaotic; violent tempests gripped the sea, and the swells grew into terrifying, massive walls of water.

Lightning cascaded from the obsidian sky like a deluge, relentlessly striking the surface and slaughtering thousands of fish and sea monsters with every discharge.

Due to the powerful currents, the scorched remains of these creatures drifted back toward the Beast Continent, serving as a windfall for the local inhabitants.

Because these fish and monsters were saturated with concentrated mana from the lightning, their worth had skyrocketed, making them an excellent resource for mages and warriors seeking to bolster their Cultivation.

"It looks like we'll have to force our way through that tempest if we want to reach the Demonic Continent..." Valeria let out a soft sigh, a strained smile touching her lips as she gazed at the distant, gargantuan storm.

To the residents here, such a sight was commonplace, as the thunder had never ceased. This phenomenon had persisted since the legendary conflict between the Demon Emperor and the Heroes called forth by the Holy Church.

Since the conclusion of that war, the storm had acted as a barrier for the entire continent, making it impossible for sailors to reach the Demonic Continent.

"That seems to be the reality... we have no other choice if the Demonic Continent is our goal." Yuan nodded after a moment of reflection.

"We ought to cross before dusk. The storm's intensity peaks at night," Mireya noted with a grim expression. "If we lose the light, we’ll have to camp here and depart tomorrow."

"Agreed. Navigating that storm in the dark is far too dangerous. The waters will be chaotic and crawling with high-level monsters that will surely strike us," Kitsura added with a sharp tone.

"In that case, let's secure a room in the city for the night. We will set out at dawn," Yuan suggested with a gentle smile, looking upon his wives with warmth.

"Are you certain about this?" Vrasha inquired, her face showing her worry.

"I am. There is no reason to be reckless. Given our power and speed, traversing the storm should be manageable," Yuan answered quickly, smiling reassuringly.

Shortly thereafter, they secured lodgings for the night.

All through the night, the thunder continued its violent, rhythmic assault on the sea. The sheer volume of the crashes made sleep difficult, yet they managed to find some rest eventually.

When the morning sun finally rose, Yuan and his wives finished their breakfast and checked out of the inn. They stood upon the sandy shoreline, staring out at the raging maelstrom on the horizon.

Yuan turned to Emma with a grave look and warned, "Emma, you must protect your mother at all costs. A single bolt of that lightning could incinerate a mortal instantly."

"I understand. I won't let anything happen," Emma replied with a firm nod, her eyes full of resolve.

"Since everyone is prepared, let's breach the storm and reach the Demonic Continent as fast as we can," Yuan said, a slight smirk appearing as he summoned the Empyreal Oblivion.

A few moments later, they flew toward the massive tempest where lightning struck with world-shaking power.

As they drew closer, Yuan sensed a staggering amount of Spiritual Energy bleeding from the storm—it was so concentrated that a mortal would likely suffocate from the pressure.

"It's no wonder mortals haven't crossed this in centuries... this entire region is a Spiritual Zone overflowing with dense Spiritual Energy. It all makes sense now..." Yuan whispered in awe, standing before the titanic storm and feeling the heavy spiritual weight.

Cultivating in this environment would provide him and his wives an incredible boost, far exceeding the speed of dual cultivation.

The Spiritual Energy was so untainted and thick that it could trigger multiple breakthroughs. The only obstacle was the absence of a stable place to sit and meditate.

Since he had no means to exploit this miraculous environment, Yuan could only let out a frustrated sigh, realizing he had to pass up a golden opportunity to reach the Spirit King Realm.

"Let's keep moving... we can't afford to cultivate here with all these Spiritual Monsters hidden in the waves. We need to push forward without stopping," Yuan told his wives with a heavy heart.

He was loath to leave such a perfect spot behind, but circumstances dictated otherwise. For now, he had to let it go.

Perhaps later he could devise a way to harness this Spiritual Zone. This location wasn't just a boon for him—it would be a treasure for his wives as well.

If they could safely cultivate here, their progress would be explosive, allowing them to skip through levels and realms with ease—much faster than through dual cultivation.

Emma enveloped herself and her mother in a protective shroud of Qi, shielding them from the fierce lightning that incessantly poured from the dark clouds.

Soon, they were fully immersed in the storm, surrounded by relentless lightning strikes that sent powerful shockwaves through the air.

Suddenly, a monstrous wave rose up before them, so tall it threatened to bury Yuan and his wives beneath the churning sea.

Yuan remained suspended in the air, a look of absolute confidence on his face as his sword flew into his hand of its own accord.

The blade began to hum with anticipation the moment Yuan infused it with his Sword Aura. Sensing this terrifying aura, the nearby sea monsters fled in terror.

"A wave of this size is nothing to me..." Yuan remarked calmly, completely unbothered by the looming threat.

With a fluid motion, he brought his sword down, sending a devastating arc of Sword Aura toward the incoming wall of water.

Slash! A crisp sound rang out as the massive wave was sliced perfectly in half, collapsing instantly and losing its momentum.

Nyx's eyes grew wide with shock, her jaw dropping at the display.

'This is impossible... He obliterated that giant wave with a single strike... Just how monstrous is his strength?!' she screamed in her mind, unable to grasp what she had just seen.

With the obstacle cleared, they continued their journey through the tempest. As they moved deeper, the lightning strikes only became more frequent.

After nearly an hour, Yuan and his wives finally reached the storm's far edge, where sunlight began to pierce the darkness and land appeared on the horizon.

As they exited the storm, the group looked out at the massive landmass stretching before them—the Demonic Continent.

"Is this really it? The Demonic Continent?" Lily asked, her expression dazed as she looked toward the coast.

"I... I'm not certain... this doesn't look like the descriptions at all..." Valeria answered, her face filled with confusion.
